I went to Walmart and found they didn't have veggie steamers. A quick Google search for the product led me to Kohl's across the street. It was the day before New Years Eve and the place was dead. I went to check out and there were four people in front of me. The first guy was having some problem paying, not sure what was going on but the checker just stood there. He could have been more engaged and tried to solve the problem quicker. Finally the issue is resolved and the next lady takes forever because she has a ton of coupons. Then the next lady has a million items and even tells the checker he should call for backup. The checker could care less and kept moving like a snail. It took 25 minutes for me to finally purchase my item. I don't know how this place stays open. Overpriced unless you have a coupon and the staff are terrible. read more

You want an update of my Kohl's review? Voila! Here you have it! Let's start from the beginning: Three months ago, I receive a t-shirt that is from the So brand. I like the color, the fit, and the cut of the tee a lot. The shirt is one of my better fitting shirts. Yours truly thinks the shirt is cool. She has forgotten to review that experience due to her schedule, and now remembers the shirt, and has the opportunity to write an update. Anyway, about the t-shirt, it is a light blue t-shirt that is perfect for spring or summer. Wearing it with gray looks good, layering it with a white long sleeve top is nice when it's cool; all in all, it's a versatile wardrobe staple. I have it on at home, out and about in town, and under a cardigan for other occasions. It's great. Here's what I find interesting about the So brand. So is a brand that looks like and seems to be one for kids. My nickname, "Shorty", is accurate. I am "fun sized". The advantage of my stature? I think the clothes cost less than adults' apparel, and are often on sale. In the advertisements and catalogs for Kohl's, they show the sales, and the catalogs in the mail have coupon cards that look like paper gift cards. I currently don't receive catalogs, possibly because I do not use Kohl's cash. I typically don't spend the minimum necessary to get Kohl's Cash. Also, I don't have a Kohl's store card, or any kind of membership that may be offered. I've seen the catalog, and there's value in it: the coupons for discounts off of merchandise. My second order was missed placed and so supervisor TRACY (old hobbit) and customer service BLANCA ( mid old/black hair) were highly rude, no help and brushed me off to UPS. This Kohl's has an amazon drop off and let me tell you IT GETS BUSY BUSY there's always a line and there's always people returning multiple items with out barcodes at had. This has nothing to do with my review Burt a warning for busy or impatient people because the staff has always done a great job from my multiple experiences. They are productive and energetic and that's all I could ask for. The customer service desk also does a prompt job of doing in store orders a fulfilled because that's my favorite way to shop and I can walk in scan and go!:) Parking lot is huge! I don't know what's going on, but Customer Service has gone down so drastically that I've literally bought nothing from there in at least two months. I bought all my clothes there, literally everything I owned was from Kohl's, but I had an issue with a gift card and went into the store and they told me that I had to call customer service. I did, and at first it seemed like everything was going to be resolved. They said they were making a note in my account of what had transpired during our call. The gift card that I was promised didn't come so I called again and there was no history of that prior conversation and they were very reluctant to help me. They asked for a good callback number and I gave it to them and when the call very coincidentally got dropped, nobody called me back. So then when I called again, there was again no record of my prior conversation with the customer service rep. This went on and on until they again PROMISED me that they were sending out a gift card, but now it's been 30 days and I still haven't received anything. I refuse to spend one dollar at a company that doesn't value its customers. I've been shopping there for years and years. I have a credit card there and I'll never use it again. All of my friends usually give me Kohl's gift cards for my birthday and Christmas and I've told them not to give me any more. read more

Went to buy a specific tank top at laguna niguel location (SO brand called "favorite tank top") and all they had were lots of small and extra smalls. I asked if they had more in back. They said no. They said the larger sizes all sell out really quickly. So I asked why they don't order more of the bigger sizes. They said they can't order anything. Useless. 30 tank tops all in one size! My other problem with this company, not specific to this location, is their return policy. I once came in to return a pair of jeans that I had just bought the week before. I had paid $40 for them and the tags were still on. I told them I had misplaced my receipt and didn't need cash back and would be just fine with store credit. They said all they could give me was $12! They said its their policy to give anyone without a receipt sale prices from 16 weeks ago, even if you just bought the item yesterday and tags are still on showing the price. Talked to management and they insisted this is the policy and would not help me. I talked to corporate and they didn't care either. Said they don't make exceptions. Terrible policy that screws loyal customers out of their money. Will be on the lookout for a better clothing store to shop at. read more

I have shopped in many Kohl's stores, but tonight I received the best service by far. Sean, the cashier was very quick, efficient, and extremely friendly. When my total sale was barely under the $50 mark, meaning I was a few $$ away from receiving $10 in Kohl's cash, he waited for me to grab something else to purchase so I would receive my Kohl's cash! Out of the 3 open cash registers, his line was the only one moving swiftly. I hope the store manager recognizes employees like him. He is a real asset to the Heather Ridge Store. read more

My first impression on this Kohl's location was that there were 2 cop cars outside at the front and a loss prevention girl talking to them. I stopped by this Kohl's to get some shirts for work. It's a stand alone store with a large parking lot for easy parking. It's located near a Costco and a Walmart. Always check their website/app for additional discounts. I also downloaded the Kohl's app which has coupons you can stack on there. The store is well organized with a big selection of some of the sweaters that I wanted. The employees were OK, I didn't see any on the sales floor at the time I was there. I didn't mind since I didn't need any help at the time. I thoroughly regret buying a pair of shoes from here yesterday. I WISH I knew the sketchy woman's name who helped me but I don't. I believe the manager who lied to me several times was named Roger. I went up to the cashier (sketchy woman) to pay for my shoes and leave. I had a 25% off coupon that I used. The cashier said I could have another $5 off if I was signed up for their "point system." I said I think I already had a points system with them but I wasn't sure. She said she'll check for me. She told me to enter my social security number on the pin pad. YUP. I KNOW I shouldn't have done that but I even asked, "Why do you need my social security number to check if I have a points system with Kohl's?" She said, "This is the only way to check." So I entered my social security #. She asked for a copy of my driver's license and used it to enter all the information on her computer. Again, I thought this was for the points system. I asked her if she checked if I already had one in place. She said "It looks like you did but it's been so long that I'm just going to reopen for you." After several minutes, I saw her enter an income on my behalf. This is when I asked her if she was opening a credit card for me. She said no. THEN I got an alert on my phone that a hard inquiry has hit my credit report. My heart dropped. I asked her if she just opened a credit card in my name. She didn't answer. I said well it looks like you did because I now have a hard inquiry on my credit report. She said, "I'm having the manager come over right now and he can reverse for you." By the way, when the cashier said "It looks like you did but it's been so long that I'm just going to reopen for you", that was a flat out LIE. I've NEVER had a credit card with Kohl's before. So the manager comes over, presses MAYBE two buttons, and then says, "ok it's been reversed." He didn't apologize for what happened. He simply rang me up for what I owed on my shoes. I paid for my shoes then left. I'm sitting in my car and I'm thinking something isn't right. I called the store to speak to the manager who just "helped" me. I asked him again if my credit card was closed. He said yes. I asked if he could have the hard inquiry removed from my credit report since I didn't even know a credit card was being opened for me. He got snippy with me, and said that there is nothing Kohl's can do to remove the hard inquiry on my credit report. He said he wasn't even sure what exactly was said between his employee and myself. Your employee LIED to my face multiple times. She never once used the word "credit card." She insisted over and over that this was just to open a points system with Kohl's. She even entered an income my behalf. That's the point I realized she was opening a credit card in my name. This morning I called corporate and the two women I spoke with were the nicest and most helpful individuals ever. One of them is going to make sure the hard inquiry is removed from my credit report, and the other one let me know that my credit card was in fact NOT CLOSED. She was baffled the manager told me that he closed it several times. Anyway, she disputed it and was able to close my credit card. Thank you to corporate for helping me out. I will now be placing a freeze on my credit in case she has a copy of my social security number. I do not recommend going to this Kohl's store EVER. read more

Overall, I had an OK experience at Kohls today. What I love about this store in particular starts in the parking lot. They have a free charging station so I get to charge my electric car while shopping! They only have one station that was taken when I got there, so I had to wait for the car to leave before I could use it. It would be great if they can add another station. My next experience was at the returns which was anything but hassle-free. The customer service lady, Charlene, gave my mom such a hard time for returning three items without a receipt. She accused her of doing this often in front of me and other customers which was so rude!!! I will be reporting her to management. Overall, the store is clean (including the fitting rooms) and they have lots of items on sale and clearance. I'm a MVP Kohl's customer and I shop here a lot and get lots of coupons in the mail. I washed them and after that it was way to short . it was on an weekend . I waited outside and she said they cant return her money because they were washed. Where are the jeans she told me in the trash she also would not tell me which trash container. twenty years later I bought a tea shirt on sale it looked very nice but after washing it looked like a rag. Typically I am a huge fan of kohls. I think they have great prices and I like certain brands of clothing they carry. The women's clothing section with Apt9 clothing gets 5 stars. Where I started to get frustrated yesterday was when I kept getting approached for a kohls card while I was still shopping. I don't mind when you are checking out to be asked, but being stopped while shopping was a bit over the top for me. I politely said no a few times and the pitch got very pushy. The second part of my experience that was not ideal was checking out. The line was quite long and the checkout was quite slow. When I finally started checking out, I asked if I could order jeans in a different size. The clerk said she can't do that at the register but I can at customer service. I checked out and walked to another line at customer service. After waiting another 10 minutes in that line, the clerk said she has no way to order the jeans or check to see if they had them somewhere in store. I don't expect everyone to go about and beyond, but being helpful would have been nice in this situation. I left without the jeans ordered and honestly will think twice about returning to this store, unfortunately. read more

I just want to send a shout out to the employee named Noah from your vacuum department. We were just in there attempting to exchange a Shark vacuum that was missing a hose. The return department called thevacuum department to bring us the correct vacuum. Turns out they didn't have ours in stock. I have experienced lately that young employees in retail are basically not helpful. This gentleman Noah, not only carried the vacuum all the way to customer service, but went out of his way to compare the features, helped lookup which stores had it in stock making sure it wasn't the display vacuum as was the case at the Laguna Niguel store. All in all I didn't want to let the positive experience he provided to go unnoticed. read more

Another employee showed up and I asked her for help and she said "No. She is the only one helping people and that she was doing something different" 2 min later she looked and the other employee and laughed and said "See how hard I'm working." Being new to the area, I found Kohl's simply by getting lost. :-P I was in need of bathroom supplies and towels for the guest room so I checked out their selection. It's actually a nice, clean store with a nice selection for home goods and decor. I ended up buying several things for the kitchen and Jennifer Lopez towels. The store was well organized and clean. Kohl's, you would do better to train your employees to keep their opinions to themselves as their words do nothing but harm your business and reputation. My family has always loved the selection of children's clothing at this location. Yesterday morning while finishing our shopping, our 3 year old started throwing a tantrum with tears and crying on the verge of screaming. Being only a audible nuisance with the crying and screaming I did not want the tantrum to escalate into a meltdown. My husband took our baby and went to purchase our items as I scooped up our child and rushed to the exit to find an appropriate timeout spot. A Kohl's associate (let's call her HOT PINK) followed me outside and approached us asking "Is that your child!?" Finding the question humorous (my child is a fairer version of myself), I lightly replied "Yes this is, we just need a timeout." Met with a terrible look she turned away, opened the door and said "You're a bad mom" as she went inside. I stood in shock then immediately grabbed my child and went inside to find HOT PINK back at her register and my husband next in line. The next available associate motioned for my husband and I immediately instructed him we were leaving and never returning. The associate asked if there was something she could help me with and I informed her that "I didn't appreciate having HOT PINK follow me outside and calling me a bad mother". The associate looked mortified and I turned to HOT PINK who immediately retorted "I was here, I never called you a bad mom." My apologies, but "I did not mistake the very blonde hair, hot pink top, and lanyard, do not deny what just happened and what was said." Breaking down to tears I left holding my child. Shocked and confused my husband followed me out with our baby and confirmed HOT PINK was not at her station when he arrived in line. I was mortified and hurt, had I been more myself I would have immediately gone to a manager. You are entitled to think what you want on your own time. However, you were on the clock and representing Kohl's, how dare you make such a horrible accusation then cower and deny it when caught? I understand being a concerned person seeing a child crying. My child was not fighting me but holding onto me, I did not run off but found a quiet timeout spot to not disturb other patrons, and you maliciously call me a bad mother as your retreat to your register. I never thought I would be victim to such ugly behavior, especially by someone in customer service. HOT PINK, your ignorance, rush to judgement, and loose mouth will do no good for you and your employer. I would like to add that I give the location and the kind associate wonderful reviews. However, my family will never return to this specific location due to HOT PINK, and our local circles will be informed of this parental shaming. read more

I was a loyal Kohl's fan. Unfortunately like many other companies Kohls is using the pandemic to provide exceptionally bad service levels. I was going to purchas a variety of things and no dressing rooms. OK an easy fix but the were too incompetent to provide the sanitizer and cleaners necessary to keep the dressing rooms serviced. So no problem, I will just buy them and return what does not fit. Wrong the return line was long as well as the purchase line. Incredibly understaffed but I guess this was because of Covid too. The perfect reason to inconvenience customers and that is the new epedemic. Terrible service. Get it together Kohls or you will join Lord and Taylor. Kohl's has the worst return policy ever. I purchased a dress 6 days ago and since then the dress went on sale. All I wanted to do was return the dress and buy it back so I could use my coupon with the sale price. They said once I returned the dress they would have to keep it in the back and I couldn't repurchase. The only way I could repurchase was to see if there was the size I needed already on the sales floor. What?! Ok, so I went back to the sales floor and they didn't have my size. This is the most ridiculous way of doing business. Both women I spoke with had this satisfied look on there face. I've never had great service at this location but this is very disappointing. For some reason Kohl's hires bottom of the barrel people.. honestly not sure where they find their employees...maybe Craigslist or something...The review about the employee calling a customer a bad mom and then lying about it and the employee that lied to a customer and opened up a credit card for them instead of just signing up for the rewards program..WOW. My jaw was literally hitting the floor as I was reading those reviews. I would've been furious if either of those situations would have had happened to me. I had an Amazon return and they had one guy working the counter. The line was literally 20 people, so I get in line, the line takes a good 30 minutes. I got the coupon that comes with a return so I decided to pick up some earrings. I get a few that had the signage 60% off, I get to the register and it's all ringing up at buy 1 get 1 50% off. I have never had so much trouble explaining that they are a sign issue in my life. The cashier was awful about it, and I kept politely offering to show her where I found the sign, and at one point she yelled at me that she was trying to get help from the walkie and made it feel like it was my fault that their sign was wrong. The manager comes over and tries to show her how to price adjust and she keeps complaining that it's buy one get one 50%. The manager only overrides two of the four items I brought up, and doesn't even say a word to me. I decided not to push it, even though it's still being rung up incorrectly, and the cashier apologizes and said she's not very good at this stuff. Clearly. It's one thing to not be good at something and another to make the customer feel like it's their fault you aren't. I left and got in the car and debated returning the earrings because every time I wear them I will now think of this horrible experience. I had the worst experience, ordering online and picking up in the store. I was so excited when I saw Kohl's carried in my favorite underwear. I ordered them online and they were ready fairly quickly. After picking up my order, I checked my bag in the car and noticed one of the packages were missing a pair of underwear. I went back inside to exchange for a full pack and was only able to find one pack in my size (6) that was also missing one pair of underwear. I asked for a discount for the inconvenience and the manager, Sharon, gave me 10% off (I wasn't happy with it but just went with it because I needed to get back home) . The next day I opened the pack and discovered one was a size 9 and the rest were size 6. I made a trip back to Kohl's and asked if they could just give me two pairs from the pack that was already missing in their store to make up my pack. The customer service associate, Grace was extremely nice, patient and the only positive part of this experience. I offered to go look for the pack that I saw before and couldn't find it. The only option given to me was to return the pack I had and purchase it online (to be delivered to my house). I asked if I can get a discount for all of this inconvenience and Sharon, again, only offered 10%. I feel like she could care less of all the inconvenience I experienced. Never buy jewelry here. I made the mistake of purchasing jewelry online at kohls. When it came I was so disappointed. Unfortunately the biggest disappointment came when I wanted to return it. Apparently jewelry can only be returned at the jewelry counter, which no one was at when I originally entered the store so I had gone to customer service. Customer service sent me back to the jewelry counter for someone to return it. When I approached the jewelry counter the same as the associate that was supposed to help me so did another customer which of course she helped first. It took her over ten minutes to acknowledge me. And then another 10-15 minutes passed and she finally finished with the other customer. Then instead of helping me she helped the next who walked up who wanted boxes. Seriously not ok!!! When she finished with her she finally assisted me. No apology for the wait. Seriously almost 30 minutes to return something is ridiculous.
