Loved this store... it's a walking distance from my apartment. I come to this location all the time but today 8/16/17 is the last time I'll ever go into this store.. I'd rather drive to the Arden location then come back here to really bad customer service by all employees and the manager! It was 15 minutes until closing but I knew what I was going to get and where it was located in the store. THIS is got to be the worst Khol's of all time, online management gave me a discount code to use in store and when I called them there's absolutely NO supervisor/ manager around running the store so they're telling me only the employees running around like wild turkeys loose cannon without at least 1 asst. manager to look after? kept telling me to come back tomorrow, really? NEVER ever will I ever buy anything from Khols it's not worth the disappointment and the anger that comes with dealing with these idiots. with so many online complaints I don't see how this Josh still have a job? OH! it took me 3 days still can't get these dam shoes for the right amount and you want me to sign up for a dumb Khol's card for future purchases? I don't want your stupid card if that's the only way I'm going to get the one time discounts off......online customer services are the worst, you usually get either Mexico call center or the Colombia call center and it's very hard to escalate the call to upper management, because there's NONE!........what can I say Khol's will be the next sears and those top executives are just there to drain out whatever $$$ they can collect while the ship is sinking...........when I finally got them it's in 9 wide, used display. disgustingly awful and probably wasted $40 in gas....LOL, but after going into the store and meeting Josh, he fix the issues and applied all discount to it and fast. he's good at his job and that's why he's the store manager..........P.S. never got the New balance that I wanted from the gecko, Can't find a pair of Nike that fitted, ended with a pair of Adida's Red trail shoes that fits good, no pinch, no issues. I'm still not sold on Kohls. I think the only time I come here is for the after Thanksgiving sale each year. Yes, they have sales, but are they really sales? For me, some of the prices are still a bit steep and I'd rather spend my money at Macy's instead for a similar item. As for quality, I guess that all depends on the brand of clothing you buy. What I do enjoy is their shoe selection. It reminds me of the old days at Mervyns (I loved Mervyns). You can browse the shoes and once you find something, all the sizes are just perfectly organized by size. Simple. read more

Had I not had this last experience here it would have been 4 stars, but this one individual that helped me today pushed my review down to 3 stars. She personally gets 0 stars if I knew her name, and should never work in customer service. I hope she reads this review and learns from it, or I hope her manager reads this review and gives her a pep talk. I visited Kohl's in North Natomas CA (store # 0683) on 1/9/16. The associate who helped me was a young man at the women's side register around 4pm, and he was very friendly. I thought he handled the elderly lady in front of me with great patience and class. However, he failed to remove the sensor from one of my sweaters. This I did not realize until I wore it to the grocery store and found it dangling from my sweater half way through my shopping. It was an embarrassing, experience once I found out it was on my sweater. I had the receipt in my purse still so I went straight to the same Kohl's (store # 0683) today, 1/13/16 after the grocery store to have it removed. Side note, this is the second time in my last four times shopping at this Kohl's that an associate has failed to remove a sensor and I have to return to have them remove it. I can handle the embarrassment of wearing the sensor, and I can handle having to drive all the way back to the store to have them remove the sensor. What I can not handle is the lack of customer service in the associate that helped me this morning. She was a young lady at the men's side register at 9:15am (store # 0683) on 1/13/16. When I approached her she did not crack a smile or have a welcoming demeanor. She almost seemed annoyed that I was approaching her. I told her my problem with the sensor, how it wasn't removed upon purchase. She asked me to take the sweater off so she could remove the sensor. As she was removing the sensor I stated how this was the second time this has happened to me recently. She said nothing, nothing, then gave me back my sweater. Then she went back to sorting more sensors into piles. She has no other customers to attend to at this time so it is not like she was in a hurry. I was shocked that she didn't apologize or offer any condolences for my inconvenience. Usually I have present experiences with the customer service at this Kohl's, maybe that is why I feel so shocked and motivated to write this message. Theres nothing like wasting 40 minutes of your lunch hour waiting in line to buy a gift card. If this is for you, go to Kohls! They have 2 cashiers open (out of 6) and 10 customers waiting in line. Cashiers don't call for assistance checking out because they want to help you when they get to you. Cashiers do call for assistance to help them get the anti theft devices off of products, and good news is that those called to help go right back to what they were doing and don't help check out customers. When the checker finally gets to you, they tell you that their machine is slow and you can't use your debit card to pay, so be sure to carry cash. For extra fun, other customers like to stand right next to you, crowding your space then act like they don't see you backing out of your parking spot. If this sounds like something that you would like to experience, then head on over to Kohls in Natomas. I wouldn't want you to disappoint your own expectation of this store. read more

I had an impotent dinner to go to and I did not have anything to wear so my plan was to run in and run out. Easy , right ? NO! I walked in and could not leave because of all the deals they have. 30% 40% 50% off how can you lose. When I walked out of there I should have spent $150 to 200 but ended up with a $90-100 dollar tab. Everyone at the dinner told me I looked like a million bucks. Great buys but they always have their stores understaffed. It is frustrating when it's not a holiday. But even more so during the Christmas holiday. During a big sale they should have more than one person for checking out shopper. Especially during prime shopping times. I shop there a lot but not as often due to the wait to pay for my fabulous finds. read more

Unfortunately although it is right down the street from my house, I can never just "run" there quickly to pick up a card or a last-minute gift. I love this place! Super chill and love the coupons I receive constantly. The ONLY down fall is they do not ever have shopping carts with the kids seat. And if they do you see someone without a child using it! How annoying is that! So I'm forced to carry my 40lb kid around! read more

I agree with the reviewer who mentioned that the stores are *sometimes* unkempt -- clothes on the ground, thrown haphazardly onto the shelves, not hung up properly, etc. I don't know if this is due to insufficient staffing to keep the clothing in proper order, or if the people who shop at Kohl's (like myself!) are less considerate and careful about putting things away than patrons of other stores. But we're not talking about a Walmart-style third-world street market here (with all due respect to third-world street markets). BUT, the clothes are good for the price, and they are always running sales and tempting you with "Kohl's cash" to get you in the door. I am not a clothes-person, but I can load up at Kohl's and look respectable enough. read more

This Kohls has always been great department store but my experience today just got better. I left my phone iPhone at the register (almost closing time) the young lady by the name of Annisa(sp) called both my son and husband until she reached me. Even though the store was closing she made arrangements for me to pick my phone up. It's so nice to know there are still honest people out there!!! For some reason, whenever I go into this store, everything seems to be on sale and by definition, when everything is on sale, NOTHING is on sale. Their "normal" pricing is extremely high but then they mark everything down to a more reasonable price. The trick here is that they can claim that everything (or a section) is 60% off but it's always 60% off! If they just got rid of this marketing scheme and stuck with their "reduced" prices that stay constant, I would probably score it higher. However, there are a couple of kinks in their system. I went to try and find a swimsuit for a friend's toddler for her birthday and when I walked into their baby/toddler section all that they had were three different types of girl toddler suits. Three. Only one was in her size and so I opted to get that as I had received one of their $10 coupons in the mail. The section said that clothes were 60% off and the tag said that it was $30. My husband found a spatula (on sale for $7) on our way out and added that to our bag and headed to the checkout. He rang up the items and by some mathematical "huh?" came to $5.09. Apparently there was an additional savings on both the swimsuit and the spatula. OK. I just shook my head at their overly complicated pricing system and walked out the doors. We were babysitting the almost birthday girl and decided to try on the swimsuit to see if it would fit her...and it didn't. We returned to Kohl's to return the suit and first went back to see if there were any more swimsuits. Nope. Same three. I went and found an employee that was walking around and asked her if there were more. Nope. Ok. I'll just grab this one? The pricing was similar to the previous suit so we walked back to the cashier and waited in line. We get to the register and the woman looks at our receipt and the new suit, scans both in the system and then tells me that she can't do a return? What now? She said that she couldn't do a return unless the item returned and the item purchased came out to the same amount. Seriously? It's 2013 and the only returns are those that by some mathematical miracle come out to the same price? We are told to go to customer service in the back of the store to do the return. She rings up the suit and I finally realize that it is ugly as hell and not even worth the rebate from the returned suit. So we get the cash we paid for the suit and leave. I will only be returning for a spatula. Horrible marketing/pricing scheme and an incompetent p.o.s. system. read more

This is one of those stores you have a love/hate relationship. They either have what you need or they don't. They sell a huge variety of different vendors clothes and accessories. The prices seem line drive with most retailer stores. What does help is getting those 30% coupons in the mail. Makes it worthwhile going. read more

Awful customer serivce. Waited in line for 15 minutes while the cashier kept talking to this couple for another 10 minutes only to have the person in front of us told that, she has to go to lunch" and to wait for another cashier to come up". There was only one cashier. After a half hour wait in line .we will not be coming back to this location. I'm suprised they stay in business at all after our experience. read more

Too bad my receipt doesn't tell me the cashier's name bc she was really nice today. This Kohl's is my frequent spot and I like it. However, I wish their selections vary a lot more bc I continue to see the same clothes. The store is clean and organized. The parking space is always available. Been to kohls pretty often in the past, never once that I don't have to wait in line. Seems like it's obvious there's always a line to check out, always. Yesterday we went there around 3pm, saw a w trash insane old lady with glasses was yelling in line probably because she had to wait longer than she expect (prob don't know that it's common to wait at kohls, simple), anyhow she was BARKING a how ridiculous it is that she has to wait, and that other customer was purchasing more than one item (which she thinks it made her wait longer to check out) and that people shouldn't use coupon, only she could check out first and could use coupon, she thought she's VIP she has the privilege to check out ahead of other ppl. Tips: 1. don't shop at kohls if u Don't want to or Don't know how to wait in line, 2. If u think that line is taking too long then go wait at another line for faster service if u think that would make a difference, 3. Get yo A$$ to Neiman Marcus for personal shopping and check out experience, MS VIP, 4. If u simply can't wait or unsatisfy then Leave the store, leave your items and don't come back to shop until they hire more PPL to help U. Dont go to kohls and complain other ppl who waited in line ahead of you, learn some manners, or u can simply cut in front of everyone, then u can definitely be the first to check out and get out of the store. I do see all sort of Crazy and weird ppl every time I go to kohls, today was one of the worst. Hate seeing ppl who thinks they are VIP everywhere, even at a dollar store. The NATOMAS store is completely mass. Kids are playing with things , clothes are all over the floor. Manager doesn't take care of the mass. Seems the store staff are ok with all dirtiness around... kids build a tower with shoes and employees didn't even stopped them. Will never go to this location again. . read more

I won't be shopping in store or online again. I bought a piece of artwork and some rugs online because it was more convenient than going from store to store searching for them to be in stock. Unfortunately when the color didn't work out I had to return them and was hit with a 15% transaction discount fee off the price I paid in the refund. With ecommerce as the norm today I wasn't expecting to be penalized at all and don't recall that being part of their return policy when I made the purchase. It also wasn't explained to me when I returned the items at customer service and I didn't catch it till I looked at the receipt when I got home. Bad policy. Bad customer service. Nice store, but customer service stinks. One of the workers passed by without greeting or ask if we needed help. We were there to buy luggage, but no sales people in sight. Picked up a couple of small items but only one cashier for the whole store. When asked why only one cashier, he said management forcasted a slow night so cut the staff. Stupid. I don't normally shop at Kohl's, but I had purchased something on their website, and unfortunately had to return it. So instead of going through the trouble of mailing it, I decided to drive the 7-8 mile distance to the nearest Kohl's store. At first, I was impressed with how neat and organized the store looked. But when I found out that Customer Service for returns was at the very back corner of the store, I was no longer impressed! After finally getting there, I noticed one lady seemed to be pretty caught up with whatever she was working on, while the other woman politely called me up, got my return handled, and thanked me while smiling the whole time. I then decided to look around a little, and then a lot, until I finally managed to get my granddaughter a few things she liked. I'm sorry, but there really isn't anything special about this store. The prices are outrageous! Not even the Friends & Family sale doesn't entice me enough to continue shopping here. Aside from that, I gave this store 3 stars for the pleasant woman who helped me in Customer Service, and the nice young man who checked out my purchases. In the past years, i always love shopping at this Kohl's , especially this shop. Kohl's always have good deals and nice and professional staffs to serve Natomas Community. However, recently some employees, especially the cashier at women's athletic clothes section are not very good to most customers. Couple of time I noticed the employee who worked in morning shift stared and gave mean looks at customers. She did not focus on her job. Instead she walked around and talked to her employees even though she saw customers approaching her counter. Racial profiling at this store. Went there to use the $10 off coupon if you spend $30 and they accused of stealing makeup with no proof. The guy asked if I was Chinese??!! Seriously! Because all Asian look the same right. ??!! Even after I we told them they are mistake for someone else. Took us in the back, dumped out my purse and of course they found nothing!! Kohl's rips you off on returns. Be careful if you even need to return something even when you have a receipt. I had a receipt for a gift that I wanted to return. I wish I would have said no receipt - I would have got a better deal. Apparently the person who bought the item for me spent $50 and was given a Kohls Cash coupon. I don't know if they ever spent the coupon, even Kohl's couldn't verify if they did, but because that person got the coupon I got $10 less for my return than the person paid for the item. Here's the situation. I return a blouse and the receipt says Kohl's received $12 for the item. However, since that person spent $50 that day and got a "coupon" for $10 to spend some other day, I was only given $2.00 when I returned the blouse. What a deal for Kohl;s. The original purchaser paid $12. I given them the blouse back which they can resell for $12 and I only get $2.00. How is that fair? They didn't even offer me a store credit. It was $2.00 take if or leave it. I called the store manager and she said she would send me a $10 store credit since I complained, however it is their policy to deduct $10 from returns if a Kohl Cash coupon was given out. I verified this on their web site. So beware if you purchase items for gifts. The recepient may not be able to return the item for full vaue. read more
