I remember the grand opening with balloons and greeter at the door. I walked in and the greeters were too busy to speak to me because they were too busy talking about them turnin up at da club. I stood there and waited for like a good 3 minutes. Do you think they stopped and decide to greet me? NO! A BIG FAT NO! So I left. And never went back. Until I did. I decided to go back in to check out their fine jewellery from a flyer I got in the mail. Tara was the young lady who assisted was magnificent! She help me pick out my wedding ring as well a the men's ring. She was a great help to us both. We came back again and I was happy to see Tara was working as she also help pick out a great bracelet for my man. We left out the store broke, but the smile he had on his face? Priceless. I go to Kohl's when I don't want to go to the bigger malls because they carry a nice selection of fashionable clothing etc. for the entire family. The floor staff is generally friendly and helpful when you can find one. The store is clean with good lighting and the prices are moderate. I like the Cookware/Kitchen section of the store because they display the merchandise really well. The dressing rooms are another story. They are unattended and not maintained well. When you enter the dressing rooms clothing, hangers and tags have been left behind from the customers before you. This can't be good "SECURITY". They get new merchandise weekly so their displays are fresh and the visual presentation is eye catching. read more

A lot of times they have 15-20% off on qualifying merchandise and the cashiers won't always tell you about it unless you bring it up. They also have a lot of stuff on sale. I specifically like checking out their shoe rack they have on sale or sales in shoes in general! Recently got some sketchers on sale and on top of that i got 20% off from the wifi deal. Today I was completely taken back by the staff and the in ability to have common curtesy. This morning I went to drop off a return from amazon, ad I waited in line the staff seen me in the front and didn't greet me when she approached the counter a older lady twice my size ran up to the register as if I wasn't there, pushing me out of the way and telling me to "be quite!" When I asked her why she cut in front of me. The employee didn't seem to care at all. She didn't even tell The lady that she wasn't allowed to do that... Both these women were white, I was the only black woman customer there this am. I was so upset to be treated like I didn't exist I left promptly in tears. The cameras caught all of this. Waste of Time, Online And in Store! One of the worst shopping experiences I have had. Ordered an expensive Kitchen appliance online.... It has been saying that it has been shipped, but after a week and a half, only a label has been created. My purchase has not been Picked, Or Shipped. Ordered another small item with the Kohls Cash received from that purchase, went in to pick it up, and it was damaged. December 12th 2020 4:17pm Lemon Grove Kohls. Had to leave the line to look for the replacement myself, then get back in line to return the damaged one, because the ones on the shelf were damaged too! She should not have processed the pickup in the first place. Second cashier was rude, and short with me. My first time as a Kohls customer, And it will be my Last. They should look at the item when pulled, + when it is obviously damaged, don't tell the customer their item is ready to be picked up, only to waste thier time + gas. I should not of had to go look for an undamaged item in the store, I purchased it online. I should not of had to wait in any line again, especially in back of the return line. Again I ordered it online, and pointed out the damage right away when it was handed to me. She should of offered to order a replacement not given me a refund. Customer service needs to be nice, and helpful, not lazy + rude. I Highly recommend people avoid kohls online and in store. Update your inventory... if I check the website and it says "in stock" and then I proceed to drive to your location then you should have the product! More importantly make sure you train your staff to be helpful instead of annoyed when asking for assistance. Your jewelry attendant was clearly irritated that I asked her for assistance because the Beauty Dept was a ghost town. When I explained that I went online and specifically came here because it said that this Item was in stock she looked at me and said "I don't know where that would be if we had it in the back. I don't even work in this Dept" Really?!? I could give two sh#ts about that. I'm merely asking for you to figure it out. I looked at her and said "I understand that.. This Kohls won't allow you to use a coupon with a giftcard. I had a 30% off coupon, which the computer accepted, but the sales lady (an older, heavyset lady) refused. She actually accidentally ran the transaction, and had to call a manager to come void the transaction so that she could make sure Kohls, the multimillion dollar company, had $16 more of my dollars. Despite a line 15 people deep, she called the manager, and we sat there and waited until the manager came to get their $16 stinking dollars back. THANK GOD this store is helping this billion dollar company take every penny, ABOVE AND BEYOND THE COMPANY-WIDE POLICY, from those of us tryingto buy some nice professional wear in hopes of moving up in life. I really hope someone sees this and chooses a different Kohls to shop at, so that their greedy store policy hurts them in the long run. Here's a quick tip for all who exist in the Yelp universe - Khol's (this location in particular) is a very reliable place to get some shoes for cheap. I've purchased anything from boots, heels, and even a pair of running shoes here at a very competitive price. Just need a bit of patience to actually peruse their selection. Love that this place is not ever super busy, and there's plenty of parking - makes the shopping experience a bit easier. The fitting rooms, and bathrooms are clean so that's a huge plus. Starbucks is within walking distance. What a great combo, shopping and coffee :) Check out their website for deals and coupons before you come. I used this College Ave Kohl's for an Amazon return on August 2 around 11am. A heavyset woman with a thick Hispanic accent was at the returns counter (name unknown). Not sure if she's new but I hadn't seen her before. I couldn't find the return QR code for the second item I was returning. so I let her take care of the first item, then I left because I didn't want to hold up the line. I came back a few minutes later when I found the Amazon return authorization code for the second item. She recognized me and wanted to make sure I didn't get a second Kohl's discount code so she tried to secretly cut the code off the receipt with a pair of scissors. She thought I was too stupid to see what she was doing under the counter! Interesting that she felt the need to go out of her way to prevent me having two 15% off coupons when all I had to do was come back the next day with the second item if that was my intension. I was about to let her know I don't shop at Kohl's. Perhaps she was hoping Kohl's would give her a bonus on her next minimum wage paycheck. read more

I was not impressed whatsoever with Kohls. The best thing about this joint is the Vera Wang lines. Even still I'm not gonna pay a $104 for a glittery VW Purse. It was atrocious! And I love Glitter... I came to this particular Kohls today with my mom, she was on a mission for a cute black skirt for New Years Eve.. They had nothing that was nicer for ladies, a few cute items for Jr's but everything I saw in between was tattered , thrown about on the ground or tore up dirty and I don't know how many times I said out loud Who the heck would wear this? Maybe it was this particular location, maybe I should give em a break cuz its after Christmas, but never have I been in such a filthy store, Dude I was in Ross right next door and it was spotless and neat, so why isn't this department store? Pantyhose should be in their section, not all over the ground and taken out their packages and left there for whoever. It was bad, bad bad... We had asked one store clerk for help reaching an item off a wall, she was pleasant but then completely forgot about us, we sat staring at this wall of clothes for about 10mins til Mom said screw it , lets go to Macy's. My mom has patience and is super passive nice, but I guess she wasn't feelin this store either. As we walk out the gal, was like OH Yeah you still want that shirt Lady? Moms just said no very politely, told me to keep my mouth shut and my eyeballs from rollin and to just walk out ahead of her. She said go Yelp about how awful this place is, rather than open your mouth.. So that's what I'm doin now.. I will never set foot in this Kohls ever again, it was just a very unpleasant experience and it was not a well kept or clean store. I rarely ever shop at Kohl's, but I recently received a notification that they were having a huge sale on Nike products and I needed new shoes. Do make sure to always check online for coupons, they have tons of coupons! But most of the coupons exclude high end products such as Nike. PROS: 1. They have something here for everyone. Mens, womens, children, and household items. 2. Large selection of items in each category. 3. Tons of discount prices. 4. Always has online coupons. 5. You can really get a good deal on stuff if you check regularly on their sales. 6. Friendly staff 7. Bright establishment, easy to find stuff 8. Tons of parking spaces CONS: 1. When you need help, it seems like all the employees are hiding 2. When I click the assistance button on their kiosk, it took the kiosk about 4-5 calls over the speaker to finally get someone to help me. 3. The shoe area seems to be very unorganized because most of the shoes were not aligned in the right section under the display shoes. 4. They are literally out of my shoe size for most of the shoes!!! I wear a size 7.5 in womens and I understand that it is a pretty common size. I just feel like they should stock up on more inventory if they know that it sells out fast. 5. Even the registers are pretty empty. Usually only one or two employees at the registers at a time, so the lines to check out can get long. read more

If you've been to one Kohl's you already know what the chain is like. I find that Kohl's in general is kind of hit-or-miss for me with the styles they carry. Sometimes I can find a bunch of things I like; other times everything looks hideous. I've gotten some ridiculous deals on their clearance racks and with Kohl's Cash. I once found a super-cute $45 shirt for 70%, and I had Kohl's Cash, so I ended up paying exactly 86 cents for the shirt. Even the cashier was impressed! The main reason I'm writing a review on this location, though, is the customer service I got last night. I travel for work, so I bought a Samsonite spinner carry-on from Kohl's online. I've taken in on several business trips, but after checking my bag on two trips, I was missing part of one zipper tab, and then missing the entire moving zipper piece for the front pocket (i.e. I could no longer zip it closed and it was just an open flap in the front of my bag). I'd had the suitcase for four months at this point. The bag has a 10-year warranty though Samsonite, but it would require driving way out to an "authorized dealer" and having them ship the bag back to Samsonite for evaluation and repair. Boo. Plus, being the road warrior that I am, I needed my bag fixed ASAP for an upcoming trip. I thought I'd take my chances with Kohl's and see if there was anything they could do for me. I rolled into the store late last night and went to Customer Service, braced for a fight. I explained to the girl how long I'd had the bag and showed her what the issue was. I was pleasantly surprised (and shocked) when she 1) apologized sincerely 2) asked me if I wanted to return it, exchange it for a different bag, or exchange it for the same bag. Wow! Customer service has gotten so bad these days that I was caught off guard with how she was taking care of me! I really like the bag and hope that the zipper issue was an unfortunate anomaly with just that one bag, so I grabbed the same bag off the shelf. She punched around in the computer, scanned the new bag, and I was all set! I walked out with a brand new suitcase, no hassle, no questions asked! Thanks for being so nice and making it so easy to take care of my broken suitcase!! I will definitely keep shopping here! read more

Great experience. Not only did I find what I wanted, I found a few things I didn't even hope to find. But the best part was the associate who helped me. Somewhere in trying out the 75 pairs of shorts I liked, my glasses took a nose dive into the pile. And flew out with the discards. I didn't realize the glasses were gone until I was paying. So I walked back towards the fitting rooms with my bag full o' clothes. I didn't want anyone at the store to think I was up to any funny business by ducking into the fitting rooms with a giant bag (I work in retail, too, and that's a red flag), so I looked for anyone at the store to watch my stuff for half a second while I tried to find the glasses. Doesn't this read like a spy novel? No? Alright, on with the show. And so I asked my new buddy, Edwina, if she could just verify that I didn't go into the fitting room with a giant bag. I took a look and couldn't find the glasses. Bummer. Went back, and Edwina suggested I go to guest services (might not have been the phrase she used, by where I work that's what it's called). I had some more shopping to do in that center, so I left the store figuring I'd come back a while later and maybe someone else would have found them and turned them in. Did my shopping, blah blah blah, scared a bunch of other electric bass players because that's what I do, blah blah blah... Went back to Kohl's and asked the front if anyone found glasses. As soon as I did, the person pointed to Edwina. So I walked to her and asked if she'd found the glasses. Turns out she'd gone on her own, after I left, to check. And found them and turned them in. The were small and wire-framed and would have easily been crushed if someone had so much as brushed them accidentally. So Edwina did me a huge solid and was friendly doing so. As I wrote earlier, I also work in retail and people like Edwina are just hard to find and never paid enough. She's the person who puts her grocery cart away when she's done shopping. She's one of the lots of folks who do the right thing all the time and never get enough credit. Or pay. So, I needed a Snuggie for the Snuggie Bar Crawl, and,conveniently enough, had received 2 coupons for 10 dollars for the new Kohl's store that opened in College Grove. Went there, got my 2 "fabulous" Snuggies : fashionable zebra for moi and a manly royal blue for my man. They were 14.99 each -minus 10 dollars- *yay*= 4.99 each! The store itself is a vast improvement on the Mervyn's that used to be in this spot. It's way more organized, seems a lot more spacious and is way better lit. The employees all seem to be a lot more efficient as well, and they put the cashiers in a more logical place: near the exits.Go figure! Its like the place you go to if you dont wanna deal with the mall and spots like Ross, TJ Maxx, and Marshalls...which are all great places, but I aint the type of person to go through all the aisles...a little to tedious for me. Its also a place to go when you wanna buy some clothes that are better than Target and Kmart. Plus the deals are a lot better over here. This however is not the nicest Kohl's that I've ever been too. I ordered a pair of boots inline at about 12:30pm. It stated that all online orders will be ready 2 hrs after being ordered. At about 4pm I realized I hadn't received an email letting me know it was ready....didnt think much of it due to the holiday season. Around 7:30 I called and the gentleman I spoke with said it would be ready shortly. Well 9:30 came around and still nothing. So I called again. Confirmed that I could go in pick the boots and everything would be fine...NOT THE CASE. The first lady (cant remember her name) stated that because it was in process she couldn't do anything. Once I asked for the manager RUBY came over. I explained everything to her and she started to figure everything out. She attempted to go in the back to find out the problem. Come to find out they only had one pair that I ordered and they were the wrong size. She then told me to go speak with JONNY at customer service and he would cancel my online order and prince change my item. Wasn't so easy. Come to find out the people that find the items that you order stated that my size was unavailable. When I clearly had that size on the counter to be checked out. About 45 minutes later things were figured out. All I have to say is that RUBY AND JONNY have great customer service skills and helped out very much ! Thank you! read more

Waited in line for 7 minutes before an associate was called to help. I informed the associate that 5 different blenders were on the shelf but not in stock. No one asked if they could order it for me. I have nothing great and nothing too negative to say about this store. Every time I go in there and find something I adore, they never have it in my size...apparently I have fabulous taste and so does everyone else who wears my size (which is size awesome). Sales personnel don't really exude enthusiasm for their job, but they are nice most of the time. This store used to have fabulous prices, I used to compare it to a Mervyn's or Target as far as having a wide variety of items for a reasonable price, but we just had to buy my husband a shirt and tie for a wedding we were going to and the ties were $21 - and it was 50% off! Who the F spends $42 on a tie to begin with? All of the dress shirts were also $44. I'm sorry, but I was not spending $65 so my man could wear half an outfit for a couple of hours. read more

I LOVE Kohl's because I can get clothes that are cute and reasonable at cheap prices with those coupons for 15%-30% off (the only times that I go here). This location though sucks! I went here thinking it would be better than the Santee location (line was HUGE and I took off), but it wasn't. I did go at 10PM because I wanted to avoid long lines and there wasn't one fortunately. I am giving this 2 stars just on my experience with the workers alone. When I went to pay I used a $20 voucher and bought a pair of earrings, a Clifford stuffed animal (yes I am a grown woman who still collects stuffed animals), and 3 pairs of panties that were $5 each. When the register rang up the price, it seemed higher than I thought it would be, but I didn't read the screen carefully since I was half asleep. When I got to the car I looked over the receipt and saw I was charged like $8 extra. I walked back to the store and went to the same register. At Kohl's you cannot make returns apparently at a register even if there is not a single customer in line aside from you. Sucks! I then get redirected to go to the back of the store for returns where of course there is someone ahead of me. The girl here was just as out of it as the first one I encountered. What she did made no sense. Things were returned, exchanged, there was the $20 voucher, she did something with store credit, etc. all within 5 minutes. I have no idea really what I ended up really paying because I have now 4 receipts that are hard to follow. All I wanted her to do was to return everything refunding me the money on my AMAX, purchase the same items using my AMAX and the $20 voucher, and move on. I did an online purchase for curtains for my place. They had a good deal where the curtains were a good $20 off the normal price. I bought the curtains and picked them up in store to save money off shipping. There's a 3 hour buffer they give you to pick up but in all honesty they had my curtains ready for pick up within 30 minutes of purchasing it online. Specific instructions were given to pick it up at customer service. I was in and out within minutes. I even had to go back to buy one more curtain pack and was able to get it within an hour of purchasing it online. Great deal, easy pick up, no complaints. read more

So I got a giftcard from my MIL for my birthday. I figured we could use some items for the guestroom so, off I went. The Good - they had some sort of promotion going, so I walked out with a ton of home goods items, including some picture frames for $2 The Bad - A lot of items were dirty or broken, and a group of employees was very loudly gossiping and using homophobic slurs... It was hard to ignore. To be fair - not all of the employees were being offensive. Most were folding and stocking, and the one cashier working was very pleasant and helpful. I ended up getting something called "Kohls Cash" from the purchase... But I don't know if I will come back to this particular store. So awkward, you know? Meanwhile some has very rude and irresponsible staffs that we have to face, this Kohls store is one of time. I simply found a deal on Kitchenaid in Macys and hope to get the price match from Macys in Kohls. I asked one of the African American staff to see if I can be able to price match the item because based on Kohls's policy, you can get In-Store Price Match guaranteed. I ask her and she told me with a very mean tone, "No, we don't have price match her." I told her behalf of the Kohl's policy and she shouted again, "We ain't gonna price match her. Go somewhere else." I'm not sure how Kohls can manage their staffs with this kind of altitude. You just lost of one the loyal customer for years at Kohls because of your service. read more

I would like to start off by saying that I am a regular customer at this location. I have spent alot of time and money at this particular location and have always had great experiences. Until last night. I decided to make a quick stop at the store to buy pants for my son who seems to have grown overnight. My son was tired so he and my husband stayed in the car while I ran in. My daughter and her boyfriend were going to meet us there and then we were going to grab something to eat together. While I was in the store I got a text from my daughter saying that she and her bf were leaving another store in the same shopping center and that there was a guy in a van following them and acting like he wanted to fight her bf. I called my husband and asked him to keep an eye out for the kids because there was a guy following them. I then called my daughter to get more details and I heard her arguing with someone and the phone hung up. My mama bear instincts kicked in and I literally sprinted from the kids section of the store to the west exit of the store by the Juniors/Women's Nike sections. As I was about to go through the doors I hear the male associate (tall, thin, mustache, flamboyant, working the register by the Women's Nike) yell "Have a good night" then loudly answer himself and say "Oh, thank you, you too". Excuse me? I'm sorry young man, the last thing on my mind is answering your half ass goodbye greeting and how dare you? How many times do you see a grown woman in casual business attire sprint through your store? Does that seem normal to you? Because if I saw someone in obvious distress running from my store the first thing I would think is that something is wrong. Does she need help? There's probably some kind of emergency? But this sub par associate's first thought was to yell a goodbye to me and then answer for me because how dare I be so rude and run out of the store to make sure my daughter was ok? Oh but I'm sure if a fight had broken out or even worse this idiot who was following my daughter and her bf had pulled a gun on them the Kohl's associate would whip out his phone to record the entire thing. After I checked on my daughter and knew that she was safe after my husband confronted this idiot I went back into the store and collected the pants I left behind and was polite the entire time this idiot rang me up and I don't know why. As I thought about it more after getting home last night I became more irritated with this kid. Please let me remind him and everyone for that matter that we have jobs because of consumers. We earn a paycheck because of our customers, I could NOT have gone into your store last night to shop, I could have ordered clothes online, we all could and where would that leave Kohl's? Like Sears? Like JCPenney's? Considering sales have been down at Kohl's anything is possible in this day of online shopping right?! So a word of advice to whoever is hiring at this Kohl's location. Stop hiring modern day robots who don't know how to behave or communicate properly because they will cost you business There is a female African American associate that works for your company and I can't remember her name right now for the life of me but I worked with her at JCPenney when I was 18 and she worked at the Mervyn's that was located where your store is now before it closed down and she now works for your company. She is the epitome of a great employee. Helpful, kind, efficient, hard working and HAS MANNERS. Maybe she can teach your younger associate's who weren't taught manners from their parents, how to provide excellent customer service because after last night I will say the next time I am in your store, if I return, and that young man is working he's going to get schooled. And my daughter was fine if anyone cares, the grown man that was following an 18 year old over a driving error the man made, clearly had road rage and mental issues or just thought he could bully a young kid. Teens ugh! 0 star's for a terrible infant / toddler section...the one is Rancho San Diego which is closer to me anyway is 100x better in this area. At the Rancho one I can find plenty of infant/toddler clothes but at this one I barely found one lounge outfit and a pair of pajamas...sucked. I just wanted to check this place out on my way home from Sam's Club since it's just around the corner literally. Not worth leaving the house for though. read more

I walked into the store to buy my son a pair of shoes and unfortunately his size was not on the floor an employee named stephanie was more then helpful she checked the back for his size and still nothing but she still brought out 2 differnt kinds of nikes that were his size and similar to the ones he wanted and i appreciate that because he did like one of the pairs she brought out thanks read more

I was in the store on 12/23/18 and my daughter saw a mattress topper that she liked so I bought it for her and had them ship it to her in Atlanta. It was supposed to arrive 1/2/19 to 1/7/19. FedEx actually received it in Atlanta on 12/26/18 and starting attempting delivery on 12/27/18 (which I wasn't aware of). However, FedEx had the wrong address, whether it be from Kohl's mistake or FedEx's. I started calling on 1/9/19 to see why it wasn't being delivered and corrected the address. On 1/10 I called Kohl's and basically had to force a supervisor to open a case. On 1/10 and 1/11 still no delivery so on 1/12 I called FedEx and they basically said they lost the package. I received an email from Kohl's on 1/12 which said if it wasn't delivered by the end of 1/12 to call them and they would further assist. No delivery! So I called and Supervisor Rick now tells me I have to wait 10 more business days! REALLY!! You took my money on 12/23 and lost my merchandise and now you want me to wait 10 more business day, SERIOUSLY!!! Horrible customer service!!! I definitely won't shop there again!!! read more

Usually love this store but today was in line at the register at the front of the store and ended up walking out. The cashier was taking forever with one customer like 10 minutes...very frustrating. She should have called for help or acknowledged the people waiting in the line..... read more

This was a decent Kohls to shop at for Christmas. Actually found everything for the men on my list here. They had some decent deals and the store was relatively easy to shop at, clean, neat, etc. Customer Service was a bit lackluster but at the least was friendly. The parking lot it shares with the other businesses here can get to be a nightmare (what do you expect with Walmart around the corner). But overall I would shop at this Kohl's again. I think being so close to the Ross kind of is a blessing in disguise....especially at holiday times because every time we've shopped here during the holidays there's never a line, but go next door and be prepared to wait an hour in this long line that is the length of half the store most of the times...So yay for Kohls! read more

I have been a Kohl's MVC card holder for over 7 years. I buy my whole family clothes from there, so you can imagine how much I spend. Last night my husband went to make a return for some clothes I had ordered online for my daughter a while back but due to COVID and kohl's being closed during the pandemic I wasn't able to return them. When I bought these items they're return policy claimed it was a hassle free return with no cut off date. Apparently some time ago they changed they're return policy. None of this should justify the way my husband was treated by the "store manager" Ruby. She was extremely rude and combative towards not only my husband but her staff as well, yelling at them in the store while all the customers can hear her, belittling them and speaking to them in a very demeaning way. I'm surprised that none of them have reported her to HR yet. It's funny to me that when you make multiple purchases no one has an issue with that, but God forbid you make an online return that didn't work out. If Kohl's has a problem with return's then maybe they should change their return policy that they claim is "hassle free" instead of making people feel bad for returning items. I will be closing my Kohl's charge card and taking my business elsewhere. read more
