There is plenty of variety shopping wise at this Kohls (including and in store Sephora). Prices are ok, some items were on sale and really good deals while others were still pricey, even on sale. This is a great one-stop shop. They have everything from clothes and makeup to strollers and carseats. Everything is typically good quality with plenty of name brands to choose from. Regular prices are moderate-high for a store like this, but don't let that turn you away. They often have sales and coupons, plus when you make a purchase over a certain amount you get Kohls cash, which is awesome. I've purchased some great deals for myself and family here. To get the best savings make sure you come when they have their half off clearance plus 20% off coupon. Getting that extra 20% off is awesome. In September I purchased an $89 dress for less than $10. I also purchased several collared shirts for my boys for $3 each. The layout of the store makes it easy to find things you need. Sephroa is smack dab in the middle of the store when you enter and has a wide range of items, including several different perfumes and colognes to choose from. Overall, the customer service is pretty good. Keep in mind that they do not have a dedicated return line as they did in the past. You must wait in the regular purchase line in the front. read more

Absolutely horrible this holiday season. Their whole pickup process is garbage. There is no point ordering pickup from this store when you still have to wait in a long line. When you place an order the instructions say to go to register 9 but when you arrive you must go through the zig zag line you tried to avoid by ordering pickup. Today I was in line when the customer next to me expressed how frustrated she was and as I started to agree with her a male employee came up and started to explain in albeit a snarky way their process and called for backup. Quite annoying as the reason I was there was I had a previous pickup order where they gave me the wrong size so I had to come back for yet another poorly organized pickup order. TLDR don't shop this location for pickup just have it delivered to home read more

Accessibility: they have accessible parking across from the entrance...you have to cross the street then there is a ramp to get up onto the sidewalk. The doors are pull doors to enter. As soon as you come in, it is very air conditioned (which is nice right now in the Summer). The flooring is smooth tile in the main hallways but as you go through specific sections (like the shoe section, clothes, bath towels, etc.) it is carpet. The main halls are wide but the isles in all these specific sections are thinner and it might be tight in certain spots for a wheelchair but other spots are plenty big enough. Experience: Kohl's always has name-brand clothes and shoes for lesser prices than buy directly online from the companies so that's cool! Brands like Nike, Converse, Vans, Underamor and more are sold here. I like Kohl's. I have also brought my dog in here and saw another person with a dog in here and the employees are kind and let you have a dog as long as it's not causing harm or damage. read more

I had INCREDIBLE experience at Kohl's today. I'm not a Kohl's regular, but I had Amazon return and so I came by here (first time!) because it was close nearby after I got gas at Costco. My Amazon return went quickly despite a line. Since I got Kohl's 5$ gift with return (and had another from previous time)I looked for some Thanksgiving cards that I been meaning to pick up for many days now. And I was happy to find pretty selection of cards, even my favorite from Hallmark. The BEST PART was waiting for me at Kohl's checkout when employee Brandon at my checkout register was very helpful and pleasant. He made sure that I had envelope for every card and offered a small bag. His COURTESY and attentiveness really stood out that out of blue I decided I must take time and leave WELL deserving review. read more

The store was clean and well organized. The Sephora was large and the staff was so what to help with any questions. The Sephora inside is a mini so they don't have everything but they do have a lot. I just happened to be in the area and it helped out with my day that they took Amazon returns. What I love is they staff is amazing and kohls always gives a $5 coupon to shop around. There is a great sale going on now if your in the area. Parking is abundant and the stalls are large so no door dings. read more

I returned an item today. When I looked at the receipt, it showed that the funds were returned to an unknown Discover credit card account number. I pointed it out to the cashier. She was no help. She was dismissive when I said that I do not own a Discover card. She said it must be somebody else's card; meaning I used someone else's credit card. This cashier obviously has zero customer service. Instead of helping investigate an anomaly, she'd rather pass on the problem to the customer. I just hope Paypal puts thing right, because obviously, Kohl's won't. Needless to say, aside from Amazon returns, our family will have no transactions with this store. read more

Walked in here last night at 8:00pm. I was excited to go into Sephora and there was only one employee there. I went up to ask a question and she was very rude and dismissive and refused to ring me up she I said I could go to the front registers and they could ring me up. I typically order stuff online from Kohls. I had a few packages I needed to return as the items didn't work out. I was in San Marcos and stopped by this location to return stuff. I had everything organized, with receipts and tags, to make the transactions easier. This location is spacious, open, organized, and well stocked. I've been here once before. This strip mall is huge. This Kohls is located right next to Walmart. Parking wasn't an issue midweek. The customer service is in the way back right corner. It looked small but there's actually a good number of staff working on returns. I got called up quickly. The woman helping me wasn't the most friendly or pleasant. I wanted to tell her to smile to break the ice. But no. She had an ok time returning items with receipts. I did have a few items that I forgot the receipt. It's not a problem if you bought using your Kohl's card as they can track those items. This she had a difficult time assisting so her manager had to show her how to do so. I would have preferred the efficient manager to have helped me the entire time . I'd come back to this location if i was in the area as they seem to have quite a bit of Clearance items. read more

I had ordered cosmetics online. But after I was done with my sale, I realized that few of the items in my order to be picked up at the San Marcos location. So I came in. The customer service/pick up area is in the back of the store. Although there was a short line, they were pretty quick and i wasn't in line more than 5 minutes. I looked around the store and it was a typical Kohl's. I don't purchase clothing here. But they do carry couple of the cosmetic lines I do use. When they have a big sale, they're prices are the best! Is this a Kohl's I will shop regularly in? No, because it's a bit far from me. Otherwise it's a great store. read more

Waited 20 minutes to be rung out at Sephora. Their registers were down she then walks me out the first register in the main area she tells me to get in line here. Wait another 15 min for the cashier to tell me to go to the end of the line. Which is now massive by this point. I explained the instructions I was given and he shrugs. Just ok for me. I came here because I needed to find an affordable suit for work. They did have quite a few options, but they didn't have very many sizes available, so ultimately although I liked some of them, I couldn't find one in my size. Things were a bit disorganized too, so I spent a lot of time just sorting through clothes looking for things. I was actually impressed by the quality of the makeup and hair products. I've been back several times over the years and my opinion has changed of this store. They have a pretty decent petite section- you know, for the shorties like me. Sales are decent but you can always find coupons. Don't forget to download the app- plenty of online coupons there. It does get super crowded around the holidays but the staff tries their hardest to keep the line moving. I'll be back! read more

Sooooo Unorganized here, again as I have said before things here are more expensive than anywhere else, unless both on sale AND using a discount coupon. The staff here again, friendly, but wow a disaster! Because this place is so un-organized it turns what should be a quick trip to the store to a 3 hour tour. I can't blame this all on the employees though as people are disrespectful animals and toss things all over the place. A few things that are odd are that a store states they have say 8 of an item, but are not able to locate a single one! Also Kohls does not price match each other, this is a bit ridiculous when one store sends you to another store to pick up something as they are out of stock, and its 5 bucks more at the other store. This store is always a disaster making it difficult to ever find anything. The people who work here are usually friendly, but they are hard to locate out on the floor as well. They mark their regular prices up way higher than they should be, making it only worth purchasing something if its on "sale" which brings it down to the normal price you would find the item for, coupled with a 20% or 30% off coupon. If it is on sale or clearance and you have a coupon, it's totally worth it, but if not then its never worth coming here! On that note, the clearance racks are the worst to try and find anything. I know people constantly mess things up, but this Kohl's seems even more disorganized then the others. Returns and Exchanges at this place can be quite frustrating too. If you used any sort of discount such as Kohl's cash or a % off and purchase an item which is defective and try to exchange it, only to find out that there are no more in stock it puts you in a bad spot. 1) if you just want to return the item you can lose out on your Kohl's cash 2) if you want to exchange it, it has to be for the exact same retail price as the item you originally purchased, this seems easy enough until you look at a lot of the items and they have a sort of weird retail price. 3) or you can just end up losing part of it if you purchased multiple items and have to return one. Then if you have to go to another store to pick up an item that is out of stock at one Kohl's, you may find out that the price is different at the other location and they don't price match clearance items at their own stores. I like that they get new items in all the time, but it makes it hard if I want to purchase more of the same thing. They don't offer very much in the way of big and tall sizes in store, but they have quite a lot to choose from online. Overall, if you have the time to look for items, if it's on sale and you have a coupon, and you know you are going to keep the item it is worth shopping here. read more

This Kohl's store is smaller than the Oceanside location. Customer service is usually good, but I went to pickup an online order, and the employee who got my order for me had a rude attitude. Let me clarify that the employee behind the counter was courteous, but this employee whose job it is to go get the orders from the storage area, she was the rude one. Employee was a young Hispanic female, on 3/16/22 around 6:40. I like the Kohl's cash, and I like the Amazon return dropoff, but I have yet to find a Kohl's store near me that is hassle free. read more

My husband desperately needed a new suit jacket for his father's funeral. I found a jacket, used their online sizing guidance, ordered online for curbside pickup at 5:45 pm. My husband called to see if they could do anything to be sure we could pick up before closing. We headed over and it was ready for pickup when we pulled up. CLEARANCE!!! Where? Well, you see the signs everywhere. 60% OFF. Where? The racks are FULL of merchandise but, the prices are not low enough to warrant even a second look. The advertising and promotions and the coupons and the Cash Bucks is an attempt to make you think that you're getting a bargain, but NOT!!! They need to pay for the fancy LCD signs on the racks that look like the displays on a calculator. I guess I'm spoiled from Escondido's Valley Thrift Store where 75% off is a reality. This is the second time I've been here. I shopped. I went to register with my return and new purchase. I waited in a long line, then was told to go to the return department. I found the return department in the farthest back corner of the store. As far from the front as could it could be. This is inconvenient. Although this practice may be great for Kohl's (leading customers back trough the racks) I found it time consuming and insulting. Although the clothes are good value (made in Asia) and there are good sales, I will never go back. I will not be herded. Be aware before you buy an item, that the return policy will add 30 minutes to your shopping experience. read more

I love Kohl's. It's rare that I go there and can't find ANYTHING I want. In fact, every time I go, I pick up a piece of jewelry. I wish I had as much luck with clothes. I'm a bigger girl and I shop in the women's section and it is annoying that their "career clothes" are all capris and sleeveless tops. I don't know what career everyone else is in, but I don't work at the beach. That said, I do often find things I like and sometimes I have gone to Kohl's and actually found just the thing I was looking for. YEA! I think they do a decent job of keeping the place clean. The staff is always very friendly. They have great prices on clearance and sales items - you gotta dig through a lot of crap to find it, but I've gotten some cute tops really affordable. The biggest problem is checking out. It takes SO long to check out there. Even if there ISN'T a line, they checkers are freaking slow. The girl who rang me up today, literally took at LEAST ten minutes to do so. I'm not exaggerating. Granted, I did have quite a few things, but holy moly she was slow as molasses. It's a lil above TJ Max, Ross, Burlington in my book (which I have avoided for years) At least Kohl's doesn't have clothes all over the floor. They seem to have good prices. But, If I go to Walmart I can get checked out a heck of a lot quicker!!!!! They never seem to have enough checkers at this place! Christmas Eve they had 2 checkers and the line was wrapped around the store. UMMM that's the time to beef up employees or have a manager jump on a register as well!
