I recently had an unfortunate experience at our local Kohl's store in Ventuta. I actually asked to speak with the manager on duty when this all happened. She wasn't the manager for the whole store but a night manager. She didn't help the situation at all. When I got home that evening I was still so upset I decided to sit down and send an email to the corporate headquarters and a separate email to the actual full store manager at our local Kohl's. When I didn't hear anything in response to my emails I printed out the letter and mailed a physical letter to our local store manager. That was over a month ago and I still haven't heard anything back from them. Customer service is America is dead I fear. However, I will give credit where credit is due. I shop occasionally at Target and afterwards I sometimes receive a survey from Target corporate headquarters. If I have the time I will take the survey and give them or an indirect employee cudos for a job well done. Likewise, if I'm unhappy with my experience I also will tell them. Without fail, the manager of the Target I have patronized calls me the next day to discuss whatever the issue has been with my shopping experience. If memory serves me usually the manager has told me to come to the service desk the next time I'm in the store and they will give me a gift card! So, a big shout out to Target for grea GREAT customer service and a big raspberry to Kohl's for totally dropping the ball. read more

How very frustrating it is to shop here... A little disorganized kind of reminds me of Ross? It's been a while since I've shopped here and I suppose that's why? What kills me is that they lure customers in by earning Kohl's cash and then when I went to use mine in the Sephora section of the store they wouldn't let me! I don't come here often. I think I have been here 2 or 3 times since moving to Oxnard 7 months ago. My experiences have all been great. One of my visits I was buying items at Sephora and then later came back to return an awful eyeliner that would not transfer on the skin. Another visit was to return a jacket I got as a gift that didn't fit right. So purchasing and returns have been a breeze. I always find that the clothing I buy from Kohl's tends to be good quality. Today I came for my dad's birthday gift and to start some Christmas shopping. The store was clean and organized. One item that I wanted to buy today, showed it was 40% off on the app but in store there was no sign in front of the item to indicate it was on sale. So I asked the clerk to confirm the price matched the app and it did. Another smooth shopping experience. read more

Amazon returns are still in the back next to restrooms . Service was whatever . No one greeted or asked if we needed help . Typical big box store . I have shopped at this location for years and have seen many changes. On my last visit, they really upped their game after completing the Sephora remodel. Their displays were orderly, and clearance racks were tidy and located where they should be instead of one vast area. I located the latest spot for petites and their dress racks, which have roamed the store over time. Their latest location matches with other Kohls. There is now one centralized check out in the front of the men's department, but the line moved quickly. read more

I love Kohls. Their quality is very good. I buy pretty much everything here. It's always clean and well kept. I buy most of my small kitchen appliances, men's clothes, and women's and juniors. They offer a great, current selection and am always happy with my purchases. A huge bonus is the coupons, Kohls cash and discounts. So I call and I tell them I don't want the Visa card. They in turn tell me I need to close out my account and reopen it just in order to NOT to get this new type of card. Since my last review a while back, Kohls really has stepped up their game. For starters, the lines seem to move faster and all the price checkers/scanners work, yay!!! There were also many employees on the floor to assist. Love that they have added a Sephora in store where you can use your Kohl's card. Also having the Amazon return is amazingly convenient. It's free, it's easy, just have your return bar ready on your phone. No need for bagging or packaging either, they'll do it for you. You also get a $5 Kohl's cash to boot. Their prices on toys are pretty comparable to Amazon. read more

Kohl's has redesigned its interior department store very similar to Burlington and Ross, which means there's no customer consideration. You should not have to stand in a long line with customers purchasing when you simply trying to return something. I ordered online and had to return a couple of shirts, and when I got there and seen the new layout of the store I was so upset. The line was outrageous with only two cashiers. Most ppl have a timeframe they have to live by because we live in a very busy world. I have a child with special needs and I only get two hours of free time daily. It took almost 30 minutes for a simple return. As a result, I am no longer a customer of Kohl's. You're supposed to be better than the rest isn't that why your prices are so damn high?! read more

When in Ventura some weeks ago I stopped in here with a gift card burning a hole in my pocket. It was from my grandson for my birthday (which had been a few months before). Had the gift card, plus a 30% off discount flier, so I was ready to shop! Was able to find a couple of things I wanted on the apparel side, plus one item I needed, so that was all good. I did make a mistake on sizing on one item, but that was easy to return. They do make returns super-simple, as an overall company policy. The Ventura store was well-stocked, and I found most of what I was seeking. I was able to get through checkout quickly, with the help of a friendly cashier. The best part was being able to text my grandson that evening to tell him thank you for the opportunity to shop for my birthday, knowing that I'll remember he was my benefactor. :-) Kohl's frequent sales and interesting merchandise made it possible to add something new and fresh to my wardrobe. read more

I'm glad to see that everyone wears masks and there is hand sanitizer readily available by the entrance and near the bathrooms in the back. The staff is friendly. They always have sales or coupons. There's a huge clearance section right now for clothes. They also sell home decor, kitchenware, shoes, accessories, pet clothes, bedding, and towels. Great place to find deals on basic household items or basic clothes. I like ordering online and/or picking up my items from the store to avoid the shipping fee. They also take Amazon order returns and you don't even need to box it up because they will do it for you. And you'll get a 25% off your in store purchase coupon for making the return. They also have a great return policy as long as you keep the receipt. read more

Yes! This Khol's location got it right! No more pushing a stroller make shift cart, they actually supply real carts with even cupholders! Yassss. The carts are really light and fun to push around too. Also they have a really nice Amazon return center located inside, and it's free! Wait... What?! Dude- nothing is free anymore, how refreshing! They pack it up for you and do all the work and again... it's FREE. I was able to find shirts for myself and work shirts for my hub.Employees were nice. Only negative was some of the racks were getting bare, but it was near closing time so that makes sense. read more

Just visited the Kohl's store and what a mess! I first go to make a payment and am standing in line to pay, but the girl at the counter is going back and forth with the cashier about whether or not her item is there for pick-up. I waited in line while the customer was making calls to someone to see if they had already picked up the item, but that person was not answering.....There was another employee who stood there and looked at the other computer and no one offered to help me. The selection of clothes for a tall woman is limited and bland. They do although have some cute clothes for kiddos, but they had wrong prices marked on entire sections of children's clothes. When you check the price on the price checker the prices are different from what your charged. Then the cashier sends the customer to check the price. Connie, our cashier is too busy checking up on the lead about whether she picked up a phone call than to interact with the customer who is asking a question or the customers child who just complimented her on her hot cocoa pin. This is not my first experience with this kind of service, hence the fact I only come here when I'm with my mom or seester. read more

Could not find one staff member because they were all working cash registers. I was shopping at Kohls Ventura on Saturday morning. I had to use the restroom before departing the store. The woman's restroom was nasty dirty, trash bins over flowing, women's personal product trash in the stall was over flowing. I advised the "Customer Service" girl named Haley and told her the restrooms were in need of service. She said, like she really didn't care about hearing my complaint, the cleaning crew did not make it in. I asked her for a name or number I could contact and she gave a number that had nothing to do with complaint. The first impression of a business is the restrooms. I hope the manager at Ventura Kohls reads this and takes it seriously. read more

I'll admit, I'm not a regular Kohl's shopper. The quality is inconsistent, the prices are high for the quality and yet a puzzle because nothing ever seems to ring up for the prices marked, and they don't carry much in my size...but I was looking for some slacks--not jeans, but "office casual" appropriate trousers so I thought I'd stop in. Sigh. The only organized display was of jeans-like pants. Fine, thought I'd try a pair even if they weren't exactly what I was looking for. Found some that might have fit, but it's hard to tell when they're only available in "short" and "average" with no indication of how length is determined and I know I'm not a "short" and might be a "tall." Picked up pair to try on anyway. Nothing worth trying on on the regular displays, so I decided to check out the clearance racks because, eh, you never know. The plus-sized clearance rack was an absolute disaster--no organization, most items barely clinging to the hangers, almost as much stuff on the floor as hanging, and, yeah, let's circle back to the total lack of organization. I know not to expect high-end department store standards, but really....can the staff at least TRY to get the garments hung in the right size categories? I happened to wander by the "regular" sized clearance racks and they at least looked like the staff gave a hoot whether the clothing was actually on hangers and hanging from the bars. If they can do that for the "regular" sizes, why can't they do it for the plus-sizes, too? Is it that difficult? Now, for my real complaint and what knocked my rating down to a single star: WHAT HAPPENED TO THE FITTING ROOMS????? Are we really expected to purchase clothing and take it home to try on just so we can return it when it doesn't fit or isn't flattering? Sure, there's one set of fitting rooms over in the Men's section but nothing--NOTHING--in Women's or Children's, not even a sign directing would-be purchasers over the the presumably unisex fitting rooms in the Men's section. Dirty always a mess and very unhelpful staff. I went in and they had a clearance sale, I found one item I wanted and it had no tags and was thrown in with all the clearance items. I looked for another to try and get a price, there weren't any others. I walked to CS and they had no idea what the item even was. I had to tell them and they still didn't believe me and had to ask another staff member. Then after not locating it they decided to put in what I said it was and they found it. They then said it was not a clearance item and wouldn't be deducted. What? It was in that section? They said someone probably put it there and refused to provide any kind of discount. We usually go here at least once a month. This past weekend was the worst I've ever seen at any Kohls location. New clothes, not on clearance, were thrown all over the floor. The clearance section was even worse. All of the clothes were unorganized and mixed up. I expect this after maybe Black Friday at a TJMaxx in the inner city. But this location, not on a holiday, was a catastrophe. The girl working the register when we checked out didn't offer any of their usual weekly deals or offer the in-store text deal since our phones died. Online failed I made a puchase for a pair of sandals on the Kohls.com site. My experience dealing w Kohls online purchases is miserable. The package was failed to deliver, when i contacted the customer service line i got the standard respone " the system said it will be delivered end of the day" 3 days in the row and they dont allow you to canel the order until after 7 days of the delivery. I went into the store to cancel the item. Customer service told me they can't do anything bc online sale has nothing to do w the store. Be aware of online purchase w Kohls, you can gamble and hope for the best or just go with other online option. I shop at this kohl's often and I always find something I like. I also like the kiosk they have if you can't find something in your size you order it yourself and it ships free to home. I also like their easy returns if you don't like the items or change your mind. Ines is always in customer service and she's the best. She's helpful, fast and always has good attitude. I wish she would get help it seems like she's always alone but never has a problem handling the lines. read more

Hi, I was just in the store yesterday . I am a stay at home mom right now with a baby. I went in to get shoes for my baby. I had a cashier Connie. I normally don't complain. She asked me if I wanted to apply for khols credit card. I told her no thank you. She then said I should do it even if they don't accept my credit i still get 35% off. I told her again I can't afford it barley able to pay rent like everyone else. She then ask me again to get it so I can get my baby more clothes. This really hurt my feeling that she was so pushy and to tell me to get more clothes for my daughter. I felt less then and almost cried. Finally I said no thank you again. I was about to pay then saw the total wasn't right. She said they were not on sale the shoes and I said I saw a sign 25% off. She called manager to check. He went over there and called her on the walkie he was coming back and they were on sale. He came back and changed the price but he didn't say there was a mistake or anything. I used to like kohls, but two things have recently changed my mind. You MUST return items in store. I have been unable to drive temporarily and I cannot GET to the store. If you return by mail, they charge something like $9. The item I want to return is $7 (new, with tags, etc) This is a terrible policy. Second, you cannot seem to unsubscribe. For weeks now I have been hitting that "unsubscribe" at the top of the email, and still, every day, it keeps coming back. read more

Came to find a outfit for a special occasion. Such great variety of items to choose from. Love the Vera wang collection and and the LC collection. I was able to find a warm, sophisticated outfit. I like this Kohl's. It's a difficult store because if you find the shoes you want it's hard to find the size. Getting someone to help you is like fishing, u have to wait around and ask the first employee you see however they can't help you they "will" get someone to help you. I find shopping online a lot either then going into the store. The employees have no clue how to help you.
