Came here for a late lunch with some friends after reading reviews. It was a nice surprise. The restaurant was playing and the menu was substantial. I ordered the pad Thai and a Philly roll and both were quite fresh and tasty. Our server was relatively attentive, but she was quite busy so I can't fault her. I will definitely be returning to try some more of the sushi rolls as there was a great number of them on the menu that looks delicious. An update: 6/2025. I returned for the "steak stone" experience (photo below) and ordered an 8 ounce New York strip. It came sizzling on an exceptionally hot stone full of rock salt. The salt helps both to make it stick less, and to add flavor. In my opinion, both of these issues could be resolved with selling meat with more fat in it. It was a challenge, keeping up with how quickly the meat cooked. Literally, famine to feast. Better for a group, than a dinner for one. Prior to the entree, I had a starter of a half dozen oysters. I saw them shucked. I know they had been alive on ice. But I know in my heart it had been a long time since those oysters felt the pull of a tide: They had lost the plumpness and sheen of truly fresh oysters. Me and my boyfriend are having a little staycation and decided to order takeout from here. He has never been to any location. Food was ready on time and packaged well with all the utensils and sauces we needed (the eel sauce is great but the eel sauce mixed with spicy mayo is to die for!) I ordered the "Little Delicious" and "Las Vegas Superstar" rolls. They were soooooooo amazing. The Las Vegas Superstar definitely stole the show between the two though. My boyfriend had chicken pad Thai and California rolls (and tried my rolls). He said he really enjoyed the food and would come back again for sure and may even want it again tonight. I would be more than willing to have it two nights in a row myself. He did mention the pad Thai was good but not his favorite it. Expensive seafood included PEI oysters which were fresh and can be eaten raw. Also had bento boxes which were priced more reasonable for lunch. They refilled water and made sure to ask if everything was ok. Large place that could accommodate many diners and the place had very few patrons during lunch hour. read more

I went here last night and I just wanted a basic NY strip steak and they brought it out raw on a hot brick with no seasoning 30 minutes after I ordered and the sides were fries and vegetables and then I wanted to send it back for them to cook and they wouldn't take it back until after I was like I really won't cook my own dinner and then it tasted terrible bc it had no seasoning and the waitress said we have pepper on the table and they wouldn't take it off the bill and I still paid and tipped, I regret coming here so much I never write reviews but that's how bad my experience here was!! read more

Upon arrival their is outdoor seating and they had a fire going, the ambience of which just embraces you like a warm blanket. Our waiter, Dennis, was great, very patient and attentive. I love cooked sushi as well and the Little Delicious was fantastic. We ended up ordering two more rows of avocado/cucumber and California rolls. The kids chicken fingers definitely deserve praise as they were actually quality chicken and good portion sizes, unlike every other place that is very small. The fries were perfect, had a nice crisp outside with a soft inside. Drinks were delicious and presentation was great. I had a Long Island that I wish was stronger but it wasn't bad. I should have known that there was a problem when they did not have our reservation in their system, but they have a large seated bar area, so my wife and I simply sat at the bar in order to make it work. That was a mistake, because we had a direct view to the sushi making station. When the sushi Chef dropped a large piece of tofu on the floor, we saw him simply reach down and pick it up and then continue to use it in order to make sushi with it. The server was slow, but nice, but she did not know what she was doing. The food was mediocre at best, so I am unsure why several people were eating at the restaurant. I've been looking for new sushi places to try and stumbled across this place on Yelp. This place is huge and empty on a Saturday afternoon. To see the menu, you scan the QR code on the table so that was COVID-friendly! Ordered the chicken stir fry udon, dancing eel roll, spicy salmon roll, and shrimp tempura roll. Everything was delicious and flavoring was on point! The ingredients also tasted very fresh. My favorite item was the dancing eel roll. One downside was that the rolls fell apart when I picked them up with my chopsticks. Not sure if the rice wasn't sticky enough or what? Overall, I would still come back and try other options. There typically isn't a wait (unless during peak dinner hours), and the staff is very friendly. The food has always been fantastic. Cooked perfectly and their sushi is well prepared. The fish is also very fresh, which is of utmost importance for a restaurant that offers sushi. When I visit, I typically order a sushi roll and a side of fried rice. The rice is always super hot in temperature, which is dope! Nobody likes luke warm food. The sushi is artfully decorated and you can see them making your rolls fresh at the sushi bar. I love this place. I've been here 4-5 times now and each time the food was always so fresh and came out pretty quick. And I used to live in Hawaii so I know fresh sushi. Their cucumber spicy tuna roll is my favorite it's light & refreshing with ponzu sauce. I've tried almost all of their rolls and they're all so good even if you order take out. They're not usually busy either so that's a place. They are also one of the best places to get oysters I would say they're similar to Remington tavern but Remington has more options. I've come here for lunch a number of times and have enjoyed it every time. The atmosphere is business casual and it's a comfortable and large venue. Service has always been great. It seems like they serve oysters too, which is unusual for Japanese-style places and although I haven't tried them, I was happy to see them on the menu. I had the Chirashi bowl which is a raw fish bowl, similar to a poke bowl, but I think the key difference is that the fish is not marinated in a Chirashi bowl, whereas it is in a poke bowl. I'd love to come back and try their sizzling/famous stone plates and try more of a varied sushi menu. read more

Not gonna lie, this place has had so many mixed reviews that I was hesitant about going. My mother decided she wanted to go here for her birthday and who am I to ruin her dinner pick? So I went with a open mind and. I will say, it wasn't too bad. There were five of us that went to dinner. We all had a few drinks and they were very good. My blueberry martini was a win for sure. My mom had some "zombie" cocktail and she absolutely loved it. My dad had a margarita and he never drinks when we go out but he seemed to like it. For starters we shared the crab tortilla, gyoza (regular and spicy) and stuffed jalapenos. They were all so very good. I really enjoyed the gyoza. My mom opted to go rogue and try the beginners sushi and she seemed to like it. Normally I'll eat sushi but I'm not a big fan of avocado (I know, I know. Shut up. I will never like avocado). For dinner my mom and brother got the pineapple boat things. My mom got it with steak and my brother got seafood. Neither one was appealing to me but they loved their meals. I just can't get into pineapple with my savory dinner time meals. My fiance myself and my dad all had the crispy snapper. It was ok. It was bit of let down to be honest. That fish was fried beautifully. And they give more than enough to feed a small army. The coating on that fish was beautiful. The plating was gorgeous. I could not have asked for a better presentation. I was so excited. I broke that piping hot crust and sank my fork into some gorgeous flaky fish. How exciting. Well, that's it. It was pretty but it didn't taste like anything. My feelings were hurt with the first bite. Now don't get me wrong it comes with a delicious dipping sauce that kept the party going but the fish itself was so sad. I wanted to walk in the back and hand someone a can of 'Slap Ya Mama' but I'm pretty confident things like that are frowned upon so I just decided to eat my noodles and vegetables and hope that no one saw me sulking. Anyway, our server Mandy was wonderful. She was funny, attentive and super friendly. She definitely made the experience worthwhile. She brought both my mom and my fiance ice cream with lit candles for their birthdays. It was really sweet. Wow! Loved this spot! Was visiting Niagara Falls with an out of town friend and decided on a whim to have dinner here. We were so pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu options... One person in our party ordered tempura with shrimp and vegetables... it looked delicious and she enjoyed the variety of vegetables... crispy, crunchy delicious! Another in our party ordered chicken fried rice with a side of hibachi steak, it was served in a generous portion... she thought it needed some bean sprouts and took most of it home to do just that... Another friend ordered a buffet for herself... dumplings, sushi, fried ice cream, hibachi steak, vegetables and shrimp... it was fresh and delicious! I ordered seared tuna salad and Miso soup... the soup was delicious with leaves of sea weed, tofu and green onion... yum! The salad had a generous salad with mixed greens, avacado slices, seared tuna and a wonderful dressing. I will go back and recommend it for a nice lunch or dinner in Niagara Falls. read more

!HEART BREAKING! !WORST EXPERIENCE IN A RESTAURANT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! My child was having a rough week, grieving the loss of someone close to her, so I decided to take her out to eat. We chose Steak Stone & Sushi Niagara Falls as I'm a huge lover of oysters and she's a sushi gal. We had 2 sodas that we never finished, and they brought out the oysters first of course. We both tried 1 each(2 total), and they tasted like how dirty poopie diapers would smell. I KINDLY told the waitress "these are not good, I would like to send them back", which is a normal interaction that could happen at restaurants sometimes unfortunately. But still we looked forward to enjoying the rest of our meal. The owner comes over, rolling her eyes and speaking to me in a condescending tone saying "These are OYYYSTERRRS. They're supposed to taste like that" and my response was "this is not my first rodeo, oysters are not supposed to taste like that". She continued to verbally attack me and put her hands in my face and said "you're gonna pay!" My response was, "I never asked for them to be removed from the bill, I just didn't want to eat them". I've rarely sent back food at restaurants but anytime I have, the servers would apologize and ask if there was something else I'd like AND remove it from the bill. I'm not a mean or demanding person so I probably wouldn't have even fought to have it removed from my bill. I simply just did not want them. So at this point I'm not comfortable and neither is my grieving child, and I said let's go. The owner chased us outside screaming "you're gonna pay" and I said "no you're going to pay!" She took a picture of my license plate and called the cops, claiming that we ate $60 worth of food and walked out on our tab. I now feel super uncomfortable even thinking about going out to eat, I am in fear of being mistreated and threatened by police. At this point, trying out Steak Stone & Sushi Niagara Falls is taking a RISK. I highly suggest never stepping foot in this establishment. Food: 0/5 Service: -5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Kiss it! Update: the owner of the restaurant posted a time edited surveillance video that made me look like the aggressor on their Facebook. Posting in the caption my daughters high school information from her jersey, and my license plate number, lying saying we ate $60 worth of food and walked out on the bill. Since so many people commented how wrong they were to expose our personal information, they deleted the comments, turned them off and edited the caption of the post to "dine & dash". But you could still see our personal information as it gives you the option to see the previous caption that has been edited. Honestly this place was Mediocre .... We went out for dinner here and when we arrived it was actually kinda busy but we were able to be seated with 5-10 minutes of our arrival! The restaurant was kinda small but somewhat well kept our waiter was okay nothing spectacular honestly he did what he needed to and nothing more . Now onto the food it came out fairly fast I got the chicken hibachi with miso soup and although it looked great it was just lacking a certain flavor component and the shrimp wasn't the best but overall we enjoyed ourselves would I recommend this place ? I visited during their soft opening. The grand opening is in two or three weeks. Currently they have a limited menu, but the full menu and bar will be available when they formally open. I think they are still decorating the inside so I didn't take any pictures yet, but it's clean and fully constructed and furnished. The bar is larger than the bar at their Lockport location. I think there's a lot more seating in general, including a small outdoor patio with misters. I had my usual Philly roll. A little too heavy on the cream cheese, but everything was fresh. There was more avocado than the picture reflects. Good deal on steak for lunch ($10 or $12 for fillet) if you're not intimidated by cooking on a stone. I'm all about sushi, and think Steak Stone & Sushi edges out Fuji Grill. Otherwise it's a matter of whether you want hibachi or stone cooking. Service is friendly, and the staff is much larger at this location. So far so good. I look forward to the grand opening. read more

The restaurant needs a deep cleaning. The set up is cute however I couldsmell old dirty water as I walked in. My party and I agreed there was an odd smell to the restaurant. When you clean with water, rags, sponges, mops, brooms etc that need to be cleaned it leaves a foul odor. There was rice on my seat in a booth In The front and small particles of food and dirt under the table. Our server was also the waitress and cashier. She was pleasant. I have nothing negative to say about her. I paid the bill my cousin said they tipped her. I'm not sure if they did. We were one of two patrons at the restaurant. The food was underwhelming for me. My cousins enjoyed it. My miso soup was Luke warm. I like my food piping hot and fresh. The sushi seemed a bit dry. Once I dressed it up with wasabi and sauce and ginger it was better. To be honest though I've had much better sushi at Wegmans . I ordered the California roll and something else similar. I was turned off that the crab wasn't real.
