Not on the menu, but great decor.

I was craving a teriyaki chicken rice bowl and voila! There was Yoshi's right around the corner. It was late for lunch so it wasn't busy and service was very speedy. It was just what I needed to get through the rest of the day. And the ladies there were so nice - greeting me as I walked in and thanking me as I left. I like that. So good vibes.

Yoshi's is our guilty pleasure when we use our monthly chase benefit food credit. Order thru DoorDash for pickup; apply the benefit and done. Love the veggie base and the spiciness is just right. Served piping hot and in good travel containers to get home. Staff are always friendly and everything is put in stapled bags. They do a hopping business here for good reason. Good food and reasonably priced.

I love the teriyaki chicken bowl! You can't beat the price during happy hour but it's a good deal at the normal price too! I usually order online and the food is always ready quickly.

I rarely throw away food as it hurts my core to do so. This however had to be thrown out. The oil it was cooked in was rancid. The sauce was a which was supposed to be minimally coating the chicken was so much it looked like soup. I could go on but then will need therapy for PTSD.

If you are looking for quick, healthy food in a hurry on a budget the Sumo Platter is an amazing deal. You get about 6 pounds of orange chicken/teriyaki chicken with vegetables over a bed of rice for about 40$ to take home and transfer to tuppaware and you have a nice lunch for the next week packed full of protein, carbs, and healthy fats for about 8$ per meal

Like a warm hug from an old friend. This was my bowl of chicken teriyaki at Yoshi's - a place I had not visited in more than 10 years. It was a delicious, hearty serving with tasty sauce and tender chicken over rice. Nothing fancy, and absolutely perfect. There's not much to say about the service, other than my order came out quickly after I ordered at the counter and was hot and fresh. It is a very casual place.

The cucumber salad wasn't your run of the mill sushi spot salad, the smoked trout dip was unique and rich. The appetizer was amazing, we each got the crispy rice and I love that each one was a different fish and slightly different flavor. I don't remember which roll we got, I think it was the blue dragon one, but that was delicious, good amount of rice and fish and great flavor. The truffle rib pasta was good as well, the short ribs were cooked perfectly and the flavor on that was insane. I do wish that they would've tossed the pasta in the same sauce the rib came in before adding it to the red pasta sauce. The pasta sauce itself lacked flavor and just tasted like blended down tomatoes. If the pasta had a scoop of the rib sauce too, that would be absolutely insane!! For dessert we didn't have a choice and it was just the miso caramel cheesecake. Now that is some of the best cheesecake I've had in an incredibly long time. I don't taste the miso flavor in the caramel besides the salty sweetness of it but that combo was perfect, especially with the homemade candied pecans. I don't know if the cheesecake was left out or purposefully like that but I love how when the cheesecake was served it wasn't cold! Usually cheesecake is served really cold and kind of like a cream cheese brick you have to cut into it with your fork. But this was barely chilled so the cheesecake was not super cold and it just melts in your mouth. It's so smooth, best dish of the night hands down. This place was very nice and great location. Everything is clean and a great ambience. There's a bar you can sit at when you walk in before you go to the tables. I do think that every side smaller table should automatically have the table lamp for light because it was just too dark to see the menu from my perspective. It looks like great lighting in the pictures because the phone took it in night mode and corrected the lighting but... it's a bit dark and I saw that they do have those modern battery table lamps so I think every table against the wall should have it. Now onto why it's only 4 stars. The service was so beyond incredibly slow. I kid you not we waited 35min at least before our first dish was served and it wasn't even the appetizer, it was the entree rib pasta. You could tell just how short staffed they were and you could hear that there's only 1 sushi chef 1 regular chef and that's it for the kitchen. I don't know who is managing the shift schedule, maybe it's because we came on Memorial Day, but this type of service is not acceptable. I don't take this on the employees at all. They were so incredibly nice and apologetic and doing the best they can and even the front of house was now bussing tables to help out!!! Because they're so busy, I had to keep reminding different waiters for small things like ginger for my sushi 3x, refill on my water, and he almost said we're good to go without paying the check but we didn't even receive our cheesecake dessert yet OR paid the bill. In total it took us 2 hours from sitting down, ordering within 5min, and waiting and waiting and waiting to eat... inexcusable on management

What my partner and I appreciated was the educational aspect of his service. He explained how their sushi differs from others, how the chefs go about creating their dishes, he also explained different key ingredients and how they alter the taste of dishes and so much more. You can tell he appreciates what he does and cares to learn about it all to make an experience for the customer worth while. The garlic fried chicken is so flavorful and crisp! The miso soup is full bodied in flavor and one of the best I've had. The dynamite shrimp is literally to die for and you want to lick the plate clean! I appreciated their cucumber salad with a sunomono take cause while it differed from a typical sunomono salad, this was so flavorful and packed with such refreshing tastes, it left you wanting more! I have not had a single bad dish here and I still have so much to try. The drinks are great too, my partner and I really enjoyed the Thai-gers blood and Pineapple Express. I urge others to try this place, as they truly care about the craftsmanship of cooking and making dishes come to life and providing you the ultimate dining experience. As someone who's a bit picky, that meant I had to sit and wait quite a while for the specific items I wanted to come around on the belt which was kind of frustrating. That said, I've figured out the hack: come right when they open for lunch after 11am. It's a completely different experience. You can order exactly what you want, and it comes out almost immediately. Way more enjoyable and efficient. Even during my first visit, I still had fun. The little robot that delivers drinks and wasabi is a cute touch and definitely adds to the experience. The concept itself is great, it just depends on timing. Food-wise, it's a bit hit or miss. I do NOT recommend the spicy tuna or regular tuna. The quality hasn't been great in my experience it tends to have stringy fat and sometimes tastes fishy. On the other hand, the spicy yellowtail hand roll is consistently my favorite. It always looks fresh with a nice color and texture. The app is also a little confusing. When you try to pay, it still redirects you to a QR code and opens a webpage instead of using the app directly, which makes you wonder why you even need the app in the first place. One more tip: double-check your to-go orders. They've forgotten utensils, soy sauce, and wasabi for me before. Overall, the staff are really nice, even though interaction is pretty minimal. If you go at the right time and know what to order, it can be a really fun and satisfying experience.

For what it is, it was a pretty good visit. We really were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The variety was great. Rice was prepared right -- not mushy or stale. The fish was great which was the biggest surprise of the whole meal. The salmon was fresh and buttery. The scallops were plump. Tuna did not taste cheap or old like previous visits. I did try some of their limited time menu items -- their fish taco and the crispy rice hot dog. The cod in the fish taco was way too soft and disintegrated in my mouth, I would like a firmer fish.. the tartar sauce was great though. The crispy rice hot dog was interesting... the sausage was nice a plump -- juicy but the rice did not make sense. The rice was also a little sweet and did not taste right.. ** please bring back the crispy rice salmon and spicy tuna instead of this. We did not enjoy our last 2-3 visits to Kura. Service was always bad, food did not taste good and it was becoming overpriced for what it is. We would happily come back now and spend what we did again if the quality stays the way it is. Service this time around was still not great, even worse than usual actually, but we still enjoyed otherwise. Kura used to allow you to win prizes at 5-7 plates but now it's every 15, 25+ plates which sucks but I get it..

My trout almandine had large chunks of nuts overpowering the fish. A different way of serving a dish that usually has a nice crispy delicate coating. This was like a lumberjack was coming to dinner and they wanted him full. Wonderful warm sourdough bread. Fresh, perfect green beans with scalloped potatoes that tasted as if they had been reheated from some earlier conception date. The bread pudding dessert was a nicely done finale but that was soured by our request for some decaf to go o with it. Our waitress said she would be happy to make some. I lifted my expectations momentarily at the thought of a nice fresh cup of steaming coffee accompanying the dessert. She came back two minutes later to deposit two mugs at our table. I thought, "wow, how do you brew pot that fast?" And then I tasted it and I knew. This coffee had been sitting on the burner for at least a few hours. Most of us know that specific taste. Which also means, since she said they didn't have any decaf made...that this was caffeinated. A double whammy for that time a of night.
