It had a little soapy of a taste, which I didn't like, but that might've been bad luck Spicy tuna tempura roll: I chose this after another yelp review raved about it. It's pretty good. Met family here for our monthly family dinner. My son and his girlfriend said this is their favorite go to sushi spot. Im very particular about my sushi and my son is a foodie so I was excited to try it. Upon entering all the staff stopped and shouted a welcome and we were quickly seated. While we were chatting and catching up our waitress was very mindful amd allowed us to have time but after dod a quick check in to ensure we didn't need anything. We had 2 orders of the fried gyoza and they were cooked to perfection. We also had the spicy garlic edamame was the best I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. My son ordered the tom and Jerry, frankly I cant remember what it was but again it was so delicious. I love salmon carpaccio and have a hard time finding it. We ordered the salmon carpaccio and the day was so fresh and butter with the amazing sauce with the carpaccio I could habe had 3 more orders of this alone. We ordered a couple more rolls (Jennifer and a spicy tempura roll), not shocking, they were both fresh and delicious! We had 2 non-sushi eaters with us and they had the beef fried rice and sesame chicken. Both were huge portions and once again the flavor was so robust and delicious. I would have a hard time not having either on my next visit. The ambiance in this location had a neighborhood sushi restaurant vibe. It was cold when we were there, but it was a colder night. It was a rare Saturday night with no plans, so my husband, daughter and I headed out for dinner... After a super long wait at another restaurant, we ended up at Sushi Michi and were pleased to be seated upon arrival without a reservation. Service was attentive and food was fresh and delicious. It's a clean, more casual atmosphere - no frills, which is fine with us! We ordered a variety of menu items including nigiri, maki, handrolls, and the korean chirashi bowl. We cleaned our plates and were in and out pretty quickly! One note -- especially if you are with kids or folks without a taste for wasabi -- the salmon nigiri comes with a drop of wasabi in between the rice and the fish. The salmon in the sushi roll wasn't fresh. The ramen was terrible. The tonkotsu broth was thin, not rich at all. Both ramens that we ordered had broccoli, carrots, cabbage and bean sprouts in them -- completely the wrong ingredients for ramen. The noodles were too chewy. The teriyaki chicken bowl we ordered was OK. On the service front, they were clearly too busy and the servers were inattentive. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a meal. read more

We decided to eat here before a concert and we were very happy that we stopped in. Walking in we were immediately given a table. The entire restaurant is very cute and clean. Once side has smaller tables to seat a group of 4 and the other side has the capability to seat larger groups such as families. The menu is comprehensive and offers a variety of items. The portions are large and satisfying. It is a little pricier then other places we have been but we felt that the price we paid was worth the experience we had. The menu had a lot to offer and it sounds like they have a pretty solid happy hour on weeknights. We ordered the soft crab to start and then enjoyed the 6-piece sushi combo and spicy ramen. The food came out quickly and the presentation was a nice touch. The fish was fresh but the real standout was the octopus. The spicy ramen left a lot to be desired, it was very heavy on the cabbage and there wasn't a lot else in the broth. It was spicy without being overwhelming and the pork was prepared well. Me and my bf have been coming to this place for years and we have always left more than satisfied! My bf gets the spicy ramen with beef and a side of steamed white rice every time and he loves it! The portions are huge, the broth is just the right amount of spiciness and pairs perfectly with the rice. I get something different each visit and have never been disappointed with anything so far. Okay, came here with my kiddos (ages 3-6), we were greeted right away and of course within in 2.5 seconds as we were getting seated my toddler touched the waving cat and her arm fell off (staff fixed it easily). We order chicken curry, a spicy chicken dish and a variety of sushi. Nothing was bad, but nothing was over the top either. It was all ok. Curry wasn't jaoanese style, it was dark brown and thin. chicken was white meat, maybe a quarter of a breast included. Vegetables were non existent. Spicy chicken dish lacked spice. Sushi was just ok. Definitely won't crave anything from this meal. So a 3 star rating may seem like it's bad, it's not. This place is good and so many other people enjoy it. A new Japanese/sushi place in the area?! Of course I had to try it. First off, the hostess/waitress is an absolute gem. Their bubbly-kind energy is enough to brighten up any room or individual. They provided courteous, humorous, and most importantly, prompt service. So why the 2 stars? The food. We ordered the Kevin roll, David roll, Salmon roll, Tonkotsu ramen, and Spicy Miso ramen. Of the 3 rolls, the Salmon roll was my personal favorite. The other 2 however had elements that made the roll taste unsavory (over-ripe avocado, sitting imitation crab). I definitely would recommend the fresher rolls vs. the cooked/fried rolls. Now the ramen. If you like Tonkotsu ramen with rich, seasoned broth packed with umami flavor, this is not the place. The Tonkotsu broth tasted like the vegetables found in it; you know the common ones found in Tonkotsu ramen... carrots, broccoli, and cabbage... I want to reiterate the warmness and kindness the hostess/waitress bestowed upon us. If you are looking for a place with good vibes and mediocre food, then Sushi Michi is the place. read more
