    Korean chirashi bop bowl

It was a rare Saturday night with no plans, so my husband, daughter and I headed out for dinner... After a super long wait at another restaurant, we ended up at Sushi Michi and were pleased to be seated upon arrival without a reservation. Service was attentive and food was fresh and delicious. It's a clean, more casual atmosphere - no frills, which is fine with us! We ordered a variety of menu items including nigiri, maki, handrolls, and the korean chirashi bowl. We cleaned our plates and were in and out pretty quickly! One note -- especially if you are with kids or folks without a taste for wasabi -- the salmon nigiri comes with a drop of wasabi in between the rice and the fish. My daughter learned this the hard way. It all worked out as my husband and I ate her original order and round two we knew to order without wasabi! We will be back!

Met family here for our monthly family dinner. My son and his girlfriend said this is their favorite go to sushi spot. Im very particular about my sushi and my son is a foodie so I was excited to try it. Upon entering all the staff stopped and shouted a welcome and we were quickly seated. While we were chatting and catching up our waitress was very mindful amd allowed us to have time but after dod a quick check in to ensure we didn't need anything. We had 2 orders of the fried gyoza and they were cooked to perfection. We also had the spicy garlic edamame was the best I've ever had. It was absolutely delicious. My son ordered the tom and Jerry, frankly I cant remember what it was but again it was so delicious. I love salmon carpaccio and have a hard time finding it. We ordered the salmon carpaccio and the day was so fresh and butter with the amazing sauce with the carpaccio I could habe had 3 more orders of this alone. We ordered a couple more rolls (Jennifer and a spicy tempura roll), not shocking, they were both fresh and delicious! We had 2 non-sushi eaters with us and they had the beef fried rice and sesame chicken. Both were huge portions and once again the flavor was so robust and delicious. I would have a hard time not having either on my next visit. The ambiance in this location had a neighborhood sushi restaurant vibe. It was cold when we were there, but it was a colder night. The restuarants was clean and brightly lit.

Wonderful experience! Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The sushi was amazing, try the Dustin roll! The baked mussels were delicious, balanced flavors of salty and savory. Every sushi we tried was next level, excellent mouth feel, the fish was sauced perfectly. Clean and inviting atmosphere, the glass bottles lit up on the walls were a nice touch. I will definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch after grabbing a coffee at Cafe Mollie (right around the corner) & was pleasantly surprised. It was not super busy so we got sat immediately & the menu selection was pretty vast. The appetizers were yummy & the fish tasted pretty fresh. I would totally come back again! Service was also great!

Would give this place 6 stars if I could! Food was AMAZING and our server, Ju was the sweetest and so funny. Surprised me with a delicious fried cheesecake for my birthday. Thank you so much!!! Will definitely be coming back with more people

We decided to eat here before a concert and we were very happy that we stopped in. Walking in we were immediately given a table. The entire restaurant is very cute and clean. Once side has smaller tables to seat a group of 4 and the other side has the capability to seat larger groups such as families. The menu is comprehensive and offers a variety of items. The portions are large and satisfying. It is a little pricier then other places we have been but we felt that the price we paid was worth the experience we had. We will definitely go again.

I tried out Sushi Michi for an early dinner Saturday night. The restaurant interior is casual, with bar seating available if you're dining alone. The menu had a lot to offer and it sounds like they have a pretty solid happy hour on weeknights. We ordered the soft crab to start and then enjoyed the 6-piece sushi combo and spicy ramen. The food came out quickly and the presentation was a nice touch. The fish was fresh but the real standout was the octopus. The spicy ramen left a lot to be desired, it was very heavy on the cabbage and there wasn't a lot else in the broth. It was spicy without being overwhelming and the pork was prepared well. We had a great server but it was clear the restaurant was understaffed. If you're worried about parking, they have a small lot at the back

This is a great addition to the 16th Street restaurant corridor. The menu is extensive, the food is fresh and tasty, and the service is great. A group of four of us ordered a hodgepodge of sushi rolls and we were not disappointed. Each roll had a specific flavor and allowed us the opportunity to enjoy a number of different textures. We started with miso soup. Not quite hot enough but yummy. We didn't have dessert as we were all stuffed by the end of the meal. The inside decor is clean and has an eastern/Asian vibe. The waitress was very helpful. There is a good-sized parking lot around back because there are only a couple of spaces in the front. Try this place for some great sushi rolls.

It's located in an outdoor shopping center, and although the restaurant is on the smaller side, the interior design and decor reminded me of many of the Korean BBQ restaurants back home in California. It felt cozy and authentic. This is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant. We ordered the Small Beef Combo, 2 side of rice, Korean dumplings, and the strawberry basil lemonade. The only unlimited items are the traditional Korean side dishes. We were served five different banchan along with two salads. While they didn't bring every available side dish, the ones we received were actually very good. Unfortunately, the service is what ruined the experience for me. Our server, Huy, was also serving my friends' family seated at the table next to us. They had ordered the same Small Beef Combo. When Huy started grilling our brisket, he accidentally dropped one of our slices of meat onto the floor. He paused, clearly noticed it, and so did everyone at our table. However, there was no apology, no acknowledgment, and no offer to replace the piece. He simply continued cooking as if nothing had happened. A few moments later, he placed a Prime Ribeye on our grill. I told him we hadn't ordered that cut--it belonged to my friends' table. He then picked up the entire plate of raw ribeye from our grill and transferred it to their table. Even though they were our friends sitting right next to us, that didn't seem like proper food handling. When I mentioned the mix-up, he simply said the kitchen had made a mistake. Again, there was no apology. Toward the end of the meal, it seemed like Huy realized I was unhappy, but he never addressed either incident. The missing piece of brisket wasn't a significant financial loss, and the food itself was good. My disappointment was with the service. Mistakes happen in every restaurant. What matters is acknowledging them, apologizing, and making a reasonable effort to make things right. A simple apology and replacing the dropped piece of meat would have completely changed my impression. Because of the service, I don't plan on returning, which is unfortunate because the food and atmosphere were otherwise enjoyable.

It was pretty quiet when we came by. The actual space is fairly modern with TVs and decor that feels very Asian (even the water jugs!). I ordered the Vegetarian Mixed Vegetable Tofu Soup (and asked to make it spicy). It was so good -- really deep flavors alongside a great level of heat. The tofu was delicious and perfectly soft. The rice it came with was also really good -- I'm not sure exactly what it was. The service was fine, but a bit slow given we were one of two tables in the restaurant.

I feel like I got burnt out on it a while back but eating with a vegan had me pleasantly surprised when they brought me here to try their house-made tofu dishes. I really enjoyed their difference in bon chan and was delighted by their $.50 hot drink station at the front. It was cute and very whimsical to get a korean milk coffee out of a quickie machine that presents its own cup when you insert quarters like you're traveling abroad. I liked it a lot. When you're sitting in their little booths, it's also very private and you can also view their process of making tofu in the back on the televisions on the side while you eat it, which is very informative as well. The staff was very clean and prompt at taking orders and never missed anything either, so I definitely appreciated the wait staff and attitude as always.

Any waiter that hears the bell comes to your table to assist. The response never took longer than 20 seconds most of the time. To start the appetizer tray at the beginning is an awesome touch that I'm not used to in other places I have tried. It kind of took the guess work out of ordering in my opinion so I only had to focus on what meat or dish I wanted since my sides were already selected and refillable for free through the course of the meal. We ordered the seafood sundubu, beef bulgogi, and sweat and spicy korean fried chicken wings. The portion size was very generous on the wings and on the crispier side which my wife prefers. The seafood sundubu was delicious and was pleasantly surprised to see a decent amount of tofu and seafood types in the dish. The beef bulgogi was also tasty and as I said before just scratched that korean food craving that we had. This has been added to our rotation of date night locations for us! On the table there is a button to call the waiter for ordering or for any other needs. Each Korean restaurant seems to offer a bit of variety in their dishes, and sometimes a specialty dish that the others Korean restaurants do not. We started off with seafood pancake and it had shrimp, octopus and large green onion. I would have appreciated a bit more seafood, but it was cooked crispy on the outside and nice and thick. The dipping sauce was very good. We ordered beef bulgogi ssam-bap (serves 2) which traditionally can be eaten with a lettuce wrap, garlic and ssamjang (non-spicy red paste). It arrived with a diverse tray of greens, perilla leaves and carrots, samjang and garlic. The greens were enough to feed kennel of at least four rabbits. The beef was a fair amount however it was overcooked. It also arrived with a soup and ban chan of 8 items. These provide a variety of the traditional side dishes, or ban chan of Korean food. We also ordered a cold namyeong soup with a side of kalbi. The soup had daikon radish and is traditionally eaten in the summer. The kalbi had the tender soft meat that is its highlight. Overall, we had a great experience and while Korean food is traditionally a meal that runs about $20 a person, it has an aesthetic presentation, it is flavorful, especially with umami, and it is fairly healthy. I would definitely return again and it is a great place to enjoy the meal with other others.

This meal was a satisfying all-you-can-eat feast that balances quality meats, traditional Korean side dishes, and crowd-pleasing appetizers, topped by superior service from Jimmy. From the moment the food arrived, the presentation set the tone. The table was quickly filled with colorful banchan (Korean side dishes), including kimchi, cucumber salad, bean sprouts, pickled radish, fish cake, and potato salad. While these sides may seem simple, they play an important role in Korean BBQ, providing contrast to the rich grilled meats. The kimchi was fresh and vibrant, with a bright red color with plenty of spice and fermentation. The appetizers looked like a strong start to the meal. The japchae (glass noodles) were well-seasoned, offering a slightly sweet and savory flavor profile. The gyoza had a crisp golden exterior, suggesting a satisfying crunch before giving way to a savory filling. One standout appetizer was the corn cheese--a bubbling skillet of sweet corn and melted cheese that looked indulgent, comforting, and impossible to resist. The fried chicken also deserves mention; the crispy coating was perfectly golden and paired with a vibrant dipping sauce that added a sweet-spicy kick. The real star, however, was the barbecue itself. The platters of raw meat has excellent variety, with beautifully marbled cuts that promised flavor before they even hit the grill. Steak, in particular, was thick-cut and rich, tender and well-marbled. Once grilled, the meat developed an appealing caramelized exterior with just the right amount of char. There is something uniquely enjoyable about cooking your own food, sharing dishes, and pacing the meal at your own speed. The tabletop grill becomes the center of the dining experience, encouraging conversation and making the meal feel more like an event than simply dinner. The restaurant's atmosphere appears casual, clean, and focused on the food. The grill setup was well-integrated into the tables, and the overall dining area looked comfortable without unnecessary distractions. The emphasis remained where it should be: on the endless flow of food. For the price point shown on the menu, the value appears excellent. The combination of unlimited appetizers, numerous beef and pork options, seafood selections, and traditional Korean side dishes offers plenty of variety. Diners can sample multiple proteins and flavors without feeling restricted to a single entrée. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned Korean BBQ enthusiast, this is a meal worth gathering friends and family around the grill for.
