I'm really thankful for fellow yelpers recommending Tony. Booking with him was super easy (we were able to get an appoint the time/day we wanted 3 days before that day). Tony showed up on time for our appointment, spent a full 3hrs on the property documenting everything, and spent as much time as we needed to physically walk around and point out all of his major findings and concerns. He had all sorts of cool gear- there was one gadget he uses that shows moisture that seeped into floorboards which wasn't otherwise visible. We saw him on a busy Friday, and he had an extensive report ready for us by Sunday morning. Reading his 60 page report was even more impressive- there are sections where he explains what he's looking for and why, there are pictures backing up each of his findings, and the pictures have red circles/arrows so I knew what I was looking for. Because of Tony, we had a realistic view of what we were getting ourselves into by buying a condo sight unseen. I tend to romanticize homes, and I can be more of a dreamer and look past any defects. While not the least expensive services, Tony definitely stood out as providing the best "bang for the buck" (even though some inspectors forewarned me that "the more you pay the more you get" - but I beg to differ...) Tony was great! We decided to call him bc of all the great yelp reviews and we are glad we did. I called him right before christmas and we was able to come out the Monday after Christmas (when I got back from my vacation). This is our second home purchase and I wanted to make sure we caught everyyyyyyything and made sure the sellers fixed it. (Long story short I had a really bad inspector at my old home - I asked him about water stains and he said you know it's probably nothing, months later I took a nice long bath only to find water leaking through my kitchen). Anyways, Tony was the complete opposite of that. Very thorough and patient. The appointment was supposed to be an hour but I think with all my questions it was almost 3 hours!!! He definitely didn't try to rush things or stop me from asking questions. He brought a partner to help him look at things and take pictures while he was inspecting. I suppose a 2nd pair of eyes are always good. Tony also has this cool thermal sensor thing that could detect moisture and leaks in walls and secret places. (With my previous leak issues, I was hovering over his shoulder the entire time looking for moisture. Luckily we didn't find anything). Pricing was reasonable and I would definitely recommend him and use him for future inspections. The report came quickly after the inspection which was great for my agent. read more
