Being a milk tea lover i visited this place . The first thing that attracted me was that they had Kpop posters on their wall and keychains for sale ! BTS , EXO , GOT7 etc ! Being an ARMY (BTS fan ) i got attracted ! Coming to the tea i tried the Taro milk tea and the Brown sugar milk tea . The Taro milk tea was delicious and a must try ! The brown sugar milk tea is however just jaggery syrup and milk with ice , u can skip it if u arent a brown sugar (jaggery syrup) fan . Its a bit pricier for the ingredients included in thr milk . This is a good bubble tea place. I usually get taro milk tea, I added bubbles here. Sometimes the bubbles can be either undercooked or over cooked which makes for an odd consistency- the bubbles here are pretty good. The tea was slightly too sweet but I don't think I asked them to make it less sweet so next time I'll try asking it for it lightly sweetened. I think this is a pretty solid option next to the other bubble tea places that I usually go to and I would definitely try their other drinks. read more

I got a cup of mango passion fruit and didn't even take a sip out of it, as I pick up the cup it wasn't noticeable at first but there was a puncture in the cup. A quarter of the drink spills out and all the service did was clean up the mess. I didn't get a new kokee tea instead they just said sorry even thought it's THERE fault. This pisses me off because it seemed they didn't even care like I just payed for this and because of you I can barely even drink it now, do better. It's pretty good ! I came here late one night and got two drinks. I got the coconut bubble tea and the matcha. The coconut was really good!! I loved the bubbles and their consistency. Some of the best bubbles I've had in a while. The coconut was really good as well! It's a little on the sweet side but I did order it for someone else so it makes sense. The only downside was the matcha. The matcha mostly tasted like milk. I asked for no sweetness and I didn't get a matcha flavour at all! This was a big let down. Usually this does happen because people don't put in enough matcha. When this happens, you mostly just taste the milk. I probably won't order this again because of this but I'll probably get the tiger tea if I came back. came here after dinner with my girl since it was on the way home. it was about an hour before closing so they were cleaning up. i got the oreo slush and tiramisu cake slice and they had a deal where you buy a drink and get a slice 20% off. my girl got 3 drinks i forgot what but one of the drinks she did get was Oreo which was EXTREMELY watered down. it wasn't the slush it was the Oreo milk tea. so she was kind of bummed about that. the staff was friendly or at least the one who took our order was. If you want good quality tea drinks, Kokee is the place for you. But if you're like me and you like REALLY SWEET green tea fruity drinks that mask the tea flavor.... maybe go to KFT or Teasn' You. My brother likes Kokee tea because it's the only place that serves Thai Tea. I can really only do the Peach on Peach or the Lychee on Lychee because it's the sweetest out of all their drinks, yet I can still taste heavy tea flavors. The mojitos are very very tea-intense. Yesterday I ordered the mango virgin mojito to try, at 125% sweetness but it was still awfully bitter. The nice girls in the front let me swap it without charge, which was very nice of them. Although my friends and I were late to the soft opening deals, we were pretty excited about this new bbt place. Before we even got there, we all checked out the menu so it'd be a quick grab and go. We came in with 8 orders in mind and knew it might be somewhat slow cause they're new. BUT little did we know how poorly trained the workers actually are!! The guy working the cashier knows little to none of the actual menu. We ordered a roasted oolong tea and he went, "oolong?", as if he's never heard of that tea before. The owner, who was working behind him, had to remind the guy that it exists on the menu. Fast forward 10 mins and we're still ordering... I understand that you're new and might still be getting the hang of things, but don't give us attitude when we say we have another drink to order. You didn't even ask us if we were done. You assumed and made yourself frustrated. The eye rolls and sighs were also very unprofessional. When we were waiting for our drinks, out of the 8 we ordered, they messed up almost half along with this lady's order that came after us. It wasn't the fault of the people who made the drinks. It was the kid at the cashier putting in the order and printing out the stickers. One thing we could 100% count him on is keeping that nasty attitude of his. Honestly, he was the only problem. Everyone else seemed friendly. So overall, the drinks aren't that great, but not awful. Yet, it's still not worth buying with the experience we had. This shop looks exactly like a shop I'd expect to see in Taiwan or S. Korea - love it! We ordered a Tiger Milk Tea (half Thai Tea and half House Milk Tea) at 50% sweetness and a regular strawberry ice blend (a little like a smoothie). I really liked my Tiger Milk Tea and I love that, like many similar shops, I was able to get it made with half as much sugar as "regular." I will come back in the future to order some macaroons. Stumbled upon this place after eating hot pot, looking for a nice place to have dessert. The interior of the space is small so there is limited seating. I ordered the regular house milk tea for ($3.29). It tasted similiar to Kung Fu Tea but a little less sweet which I preferred so it was pretty good. The highlight of this dessert was the egg waffle ($4.49). I choose the vanilla ice cream, with double oreo topping and chocolate drizzle. It took about 10 minutes to make.Honestly, this was one of the best egg waffles I tasted. I was about to order a second one just for waffle. The waffle was nice and fluffy yet still crispy on the outside. It has a nice doughy taste that I like. The only thing I would have done different was ordered the condense milk over the chocolate syrup. Overall, Taste: 5/5 -Highly recommend the egg waffle! Came here on Saturday with the wife while we were in the area. We were both really excited to try a new bubble tea joint, but were sadly disappointed with this place :( It's SUPER small, which isn't a big deal, it's NoVA so I know retail space can be REALLY expensive. There must have been some event across the street at the high school that had just finished as there was about 11 kids in the store along with one family (two adults and two smaller children) who were sitting in the table in the corner. We just came for the "smoothie" with added boba. The set-up of this place could use some work, most importantly they should probably place finished products ready to be picked up in a separate location (right now it's the same register where you order) which makes for a fun game of trying to squeeze by to get your drink, not bump into other customers or the large ramen snack stand they have -_- Despite all this, I was still excited to try it...my wife found a seat when a couple of kids left and we waited for about 10 minutes before our drinks were ready. The employee taking the order was very friendly/polite. I couldn't really hear them call my name to let me know the order was done, which was annoying...but again it was pretty packed. The straws here are terrible -_- if you tap it on the table to open it you end up bending the pointed end (which makes it incredibly difficult to put the straw through the lid) ripping the straw open wasn't much better. I had the peach smoothie with boba and it was soooo sweet. I wasn't sure what to expect since this was a new flavor I never had...it tasted like the haribo peach candy...which I liked..it was just entirely too sweat for me. My boba was fine, definitely on the sweeter side, but that was probably just from the amount of sugar/syrup they put into my smothie. My wife's taro smoothie was TERRIBLE! Possibly the worst we've had...the taro was bland and tasted more milky-icy than taro flavored. The boba in her drinks were very chewy and slimy...a texture I had never encountered before. I wanted to try the ice-cream roll-ups, but unfortunately I don't anticipate we'll be back. We ordered lychee on lychee and it was forgettable. Not very good but edible. I tried out friend's matcha ice blend and it was very not good. The color was dark and the flavor was just off. But the Tonkotso ramen broth had a nice rich flavor and a good variety of toppings! I personally like to ask for extra bamboo shoots ($0.40?) just because I like them so much! The drinks may be sugary and good for most, but the service is terrible and not worth the $6 for a drink. The door and website stated the store was open until 10pm. When I walked in at 7:45pm on a Sunday, two associates were at the register, lights off, counting money. The door was UNLOCKED as they were counting cash. I asked "are you closed?" And they lifted their hand and shooed me out saying they were closed. It was odd and rude. Understandably, the store reduced their hours to 8:00pm because of COVID. What doesn't make sense is why the DOOR WAS UNLOCKED as they were counting money, that's extremely frowned upon in the food industry and does not follow regulations at all. I guess that day the teenage associates decided to manage closing in their own and did not place a new sign with the updated hours. Next day, I call to confirm the hours. They say it's 8:00pm they close, I ask if they are going to place an updated sign in their door. They had no idea their DOOR and WEBSITE had the wrong hours. I go to the store to try and get a drink at 6pm. They cashier is rubbing her face and pushing her hair behind her ear, no face mask on, but on her chin. I understand it's uncomfortable to wear a mask, but what was most disturbing was her visibly correcting her appearance while touching open cups. When I attempted to order they said they ran out of tapioca...the main ingredient to make any of the bubble drinks. It was clearly in my best interest to leave. I never see a manger in the establishment. Save yourself the money and health issues, go to another bubble tea establishment a mile away. Do not give them your money or time. read more

I am the definition of an ice cream lover. Ever since I tried rolled ice cream in California, I've been on the hunt for some good rolled ice cream here in Virginia. I was surprised to see that there are rolled ice cream options at this kokee location, so I decided to give it a try. And my oh my, it was perfect. I love chocolate and the mixture I created was absolutely perfect! The ice cream was creamy, and the toppings were a nice compliment. I give their ice cream 10/10!! Their boba is amazing as well, but I'm just an avid ice cream lover. This place is slowly becoming my go-to spot! Mainly due to convenience, but not bad by any means. Definitely less sweet than most other places that's loaded with sugar - which is a win in my book bc I don't like overly sweet and some places even 50% is too much! They have the typical milk teas, fruit teas, and smoothies drinks that you can customize. Thirsty Joe, Sea salt jasmine, and Oolong milk tea are some of my favs. And they also sell other desserts like cakes, macarons, and roll-up ice cream as well as packaged snacks. Oh and apparently they also have ramen now. Whoa, where was this place when I was in college?!? Awesome place for a mid-day treat or a whole meal. There isn't too much seating though, but it's not a big issue bc it never seems to be overly crowded. Also, they have happy hour, score! You get a discount on drinks, (maybe like 20-30% off?) Though, the place is available to many and is fairly clean, and looks great. Good bubble tea, but service is a little confusing and slow. The person before me in line ordered 7 drinks, and she seemed very mean to the cashier. So when I ordered two, i was trying to be extra nice. I don't like it when people are treated badly. Anyways, I asked to wait outside for social distancing purposes. The cashier said "it's only going to take 5 minutes," and I said I would walk back in in 5 minutes. I just stood outside of the door looking in for 4 minutes (I time these things...). So I went back in and saw the staff in the back put my drinks in front of her, and she looked at it and proceeded to just ignore it. We ordered one of the specials with green tea and also a kiwi iced green tea (honestly it tasted so horrible that I don't even remember the exact name). The drinks weren't sweet not even a little bit and normally I like less sweet but these just tasted bland and the flavor combination was weird. Ended up tossing our drinks after a few sips.
