All were very watered down and lack the flavor of tea that we are used too. Maybe the ratio of milk to tea was a bit off. The only plus is that they sell pastries here. Kokee is OK. Definitely not my favorite, but must try for yourself! I could be a little biased. I'm a huge taro fan. Their taro is good, however not the best. I do love how they have strawberry popping bubbles! My mom got a oolong tea which was quite tasty. Honestly, no complaints. read more

The milk tea here is delicious! I am a huge fan of taro milk tea, and this place offers the drink with a fresh taste and plenty of boba. The milk, tea, and taro are blended well, without either ingredient overpowering the other. The bubble tea here is not too sweet; however, you can alter the sweetness from the regular amount to 50%, or even a 25% sweetness level. The staff are very respectful and helpful. Given that it's just a little shell in the wall near the Springfield Town Center food court, I was really impressed with my house black milk tea from Kokee! Great tea flavor shining through, pretty good level of sweetness (although I get spoiled by the adjustable sugar levels that Kung Fu Tea offers, so a lot of regular bubble teas are a little too sweet for me these days), and really nice texture and flavor of the boba. I'm a fan! They had Shilla samples out on the counter to sample while we were waiting for our teas, and it was nice watching them hand-make our drinks from scratch (although it did mean it took a little longer. I guess something to be aware of if there's ever a long line.) More and more bubble tea places are popping up all over the DMV, so it can be hard to differentiate between them, but between the convenience of its in-mall location and the taste of its house tea, I'm a big Kokee Tea fan! Maybe my favorite addition to the Springfield mall. They are mostly a beverage stand with boba, milk teas, and smoothies but they do have a small selection of their baked goods for sale as well. I'm liking this new addition to the mall. I can now come here to grab my boba fix while my little guy burns off energy running around the playground. They have all your basic milk tea flavors. The passion fruit and mango slushy is really good too, they gave me a sample while I was trying to decide what to order. The drinks only come in one size and run for about $4 they charge more for different toppings. They have your normal boba, different flavored jellies, aloe, And pudding. The crystal boba is pretty neat. Its a different consistency compared to the honey boba. I actually really like it. They also carry an assortment of Korean pasteries and cakes. I'll have to come back and try some of those next time. Yay for not having to leave this area to get my boba fix. Now if only they did bing soo and shaved ice. read more

Been to the Springfield Mall location due to its accessibility and the owner always around when I stop after work hours late in the eve around closing time. Recently I stopped and got my usual fave and did not see any of the people that run the place. The milk shake that I ordered (I always get the same thing-Taro milk shake with Lychee jello) did not taste the same, it lacked milk, sugar I don't know what else - it is so bland; and after a few sips the liquid is gone like all it has was only blended ice all air in it. What happened? Are you so busy branching out that you left the place run by inept people, somebody pls. maintain the quality of the product, it's premium price for the blended ice beverages. I was beginning to worry once I saw the man who was making my drink spilled something then poured what looked like milk on top of the blended ice at the end. Was he the dishwasher turned cook? I've tried a few different types and came to the conclusion that they must use different ingredients. Also: I love the original boba but the honey boba is, in my humble opinion, nasty. Very disappointing. I waited until I got to my car for my first taste of my boba. I bought 3 of the same tea flavor and the flavor was so bland for all 3. It was literally watered down. Every time my family go to this mall, we always stop by and order drinks and buy their bread as well... it has been nice but this last visit we did it is a DISAPPOINTMENT ... one of the crew member is VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL... they got my order wrong and I ask for correction before they even start making my drink... "this" crew member took my receipt and told me in a disgruntled voice that they don't make my order anymore, instead of telling me nicely, he crumbled my receipt and threw in the trash... I let that go thinking that they'll make my order... couple seconds and "this" crew member looking at me and calling me with his finger "hey,hey,you"... at this time, I'm very upset and uneasy... I expected the same quality of the slushes I've been buying at Shila's Bakery on Little River Turnpike, in Annandale. My daughter and I stopped by today and bough a Taro and a Thai slush with bubbles. It didn't have ANY flavor, the bubbles were undercooked, the slush turned liquid soooo quickly. It was like throwing my almost $12 in the trash can. I'll never come back. I rather drive to the original Shila's Bakery than give my money away. I won't recommend this place to ANYBODY. Location location, I will never stop going here simply because it's inside of the mall. It's not the best boba I've ever had but it's good. They also are connected with a Shilla satellite location so you can get a selection of pastries. They just got a snocream machine also, but I haven't tried it. I've never had any real issues, til the last time I went. I don't know if it was mixed incorrectly or what happened but the texture was way off. This location would have been a 5 star review for me if it wasn't for the sorry worker that they have. The manager here is FABULOUS! So kind and a pleasure to work with. Today I went to this location and two low lifes hovered over the counter and stole my drink. I saw that there was a drink which looked just like mine but I assumed maybe they ordered the same thing as me, nope. Next two orders came up after me and mine was nowhere. I told this young guy who was helping make drinks that I thought someone took my drink and he shrugged his shoulders at me and turned around. He was so rude. Another customer who saw his response to me stepped in and held up my receipt saying he needed to make another one for me. Love this place! The Tiger Tea is my favorite, has the taste of Thai Ice Tea but is not too overly sweet!
