My 2nd time here. 1st was by myself after being recommended by a friend and had to get it to go since it was the day before New Year's Day and they had to go only. 2nd time (today) was with guests that we are showing around In LA. They are known for their eggplant kebab. It stands out because it's tasty, juicy, and not dry. Their meat is also very juicy. We also were addicted with the sauce that we had to ask for it three times. The restaurant was spacious and had a really nice aesthetic in the bathroom. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.

Spicy Adaba kebab and chicken breast topped with Anta Kali bread.

Amazing food can't get enough of this place a must try..... the service is great also....

Eating at Koko's was a treat, and I really appreciated the service despite not being of the same culture. The ambiance errs on the louder side and caters to normal parties of 3+ to larger ones of 10+. The staff members were all patient in explaining entrees and checking in once the food was served. Parking was not the easiest since the plaza is small, but there is plenty of street parking, which makes for a nice after-meal stroll. I ordered a combination to try their beef and lamb. For the price that it was, it definitely leaned on the pricier side. Once seated, I was served what felt like the MOST refreshing glass of water - the perfect temperature, not ice cold but not lukewarm either, cool but not chilled. The pickled vegetables were a nice appetizer and condiment to the entree. Their rice was also extremely tasty, and it had accents of butter - smooth and sweet. The meats (though a tad scarce) were both medium rare and extremely tender. Between bites, there were a several cuts of pita bread as a palate cleanser. The onions and garlic were served with a tasty spice, and the meal ended on a sweet note with the tomato. Overall, service was welcoming, and food was tasty. The least enjoyable restaurant was the lingering small of cigarettes or smoke, but it was a tolerable tradeoff for a tasty dinner.

First time trying Koko's and it was absolutely everything! We tried a lot of things from the menu ranging from the zesty tabule to the tender sujukh sandwich! The chi kufteh was a bit different than I always have it because it had a lot of tomato paste inside, but nonetheless still very good. The kidye was my absolute favorite alongside the tabule. I can say hands down this was the best tabule I have ever had! The Manti was so so good, tasted very much like what I would have growing up! Our server was also very nice and helpful! The restaurant is also very clean and nice. Overall, a great Middle Eastern restaurant!

We ordered the meat combo plate, which came with beef lula kabob as well as chicken kabob and beef kabob pieces. The plate also came with hummus and because I came with my daughter and she demanded fries, I replaced the included basmati rice for freshly made fries. In addition, we decided to order a side of baba ganoush, which was very flavorful and just so worth it. The meats were outstanding. Both, chicken and beef kabob pieces were nicely marinated, perfectly grilled and delicious. The beef lula kabob really stood out to me and it's one of the better ones I've had in LA -- very juicy, well marinated ground beef and they cooked it so the juices are trapped inside the lula and they only get released after you bite into it. What I got was a perfect bite every time and those delicious beef juices made my taste buds say Yaaaaay and nourished my soul. Overall, a very good meal at a good price and it had my wife and daughter satisfied. The spot is located on a medium-size plaza with many parking spots. The inside is clean and has about 8 tables for dining in. The service was good and friendly. A worthy local place for a quick, delicious Mediterranean food. Will come back again!

For $21.99 it's worth getting especially since it comes with saffron rice, salad, pita bread, and a choice of regular hummus or spicy hummus. They've always been super accommodating because my coworkers and I make pretty big orders and when I arrive, it's always ready and pack. Which is super helpful when you have to drive during rush hour. Now let's talk about the food. You have to get the beef shawarma wrap. I've had wraps here and there but, never have I had a wrap as good as the one I've had here. As soon as the took my first bite, my head started nodding up and down. As in yes, yes, yes....this is amazing. My other favorite food option is the Lahme. I never had anything like it. It flavorful and just keeps opening up the more you eat it. There is no lack of seasoning in any of food and everything a depth of flavor I've never experienced before. You can feed 1-2 people with either the beef shawarma or chicken shawarma plate. They are not shy with either protein. If I can give you some advice, it would be to eat there. Because if you get it to go, you will be starving and hangry all the way home because everything smells just as good as it taste. All the way to work I can hear my stomach rumbling because of how good everything smells.

The BBQ plate is outstanding--the meat is perfectly seasoned, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. It is better than their beef koobideh and barg, though those are still good. I have had better beef koobideh at other restaurants like Raffis or Shekarchi. Their bread is so fresh and is an elevated experience compared to the usual lavash bread that restaurants give. My friends had the salmon and they really liked it. The maast o khiar is really good too. The service is excellent - all the food came out quickly and the servers were nice. I will say I am Persian (and look very obviously so) and for some reason one lady only looked at/spoke to my husband and not me. I would say it's 4.5 stars because I was put off by this. Parking is tough right next to the restaurant but can be found metered down the street if you don't want to valet. Been going to Sadaf for the past 15 years. Past few years they have increased prices and made their…read moreportions smaller. Just until recently we have been experiencing changes in flavor and food presentation, still no excuse to serve people that have been supporting their business with tasteless and cold food. Last week I had enough and called over the manager. He did mention due to the high cost, they had to cut back and raise prices. Giving us the typical excuses to weasel their way out. Order 1 was tri stews that came out cold with small portion of rice. The stews were tasteless and meatless. Menu states chunks of beef but yet nothing in our dish. Maybe they gave us the veggie option for $28. I scream middle eastern from a mile away do you think I would go there for a veggie dish? I don't think so. Discrepancies can elevate a dish but unfortunately I don't think the new management in the kitchen has any clue on culinary arts. If you lack that part in your business at least serve a warm dish with decent size rice which is cheap to buy or add some side greens that can fill a normal size man so I don't have to stop by In N Out after. Order 2 was chicken barg that was cold as our stews, tasteless and strange color to it which manager claimed it was a new marinate and also agreed it was small. Small portion and cold but yet they charged $28 for it. No mention if their cuts are organic or not is very troubling as the chicken felt it was frozen with a chewing texture and a strange aftertaste. The icing on cake was a $5 premium charge for a small bottle of sparkling water that's normally at most at local gas stations for a $1.90. The manager had the nerve to tell us they have been cutting back including the small slice of lemon that they used to offer with a glass of water. This place is a joke and ran by people that just care for money as they have been opening new locations with our support. They have forgotten when you claim superiority over other restaurants you better deliver as presentation is key which this restaurant lacks as well. Manager claimed they focus on healthy marinates and oils and provide healthy meals which as if he was selling me on a gym membership! Maybe he should save all that talk and had refunded my money. I paid, even gave a healthy tip as the server had nothing to do with it and I would have ordered desserts but everything on it was unhealthy and store bought contradictory to his long speech. Save your money and don't go here.
