Amazing, fresh, quality Middle Eastern food... Luckily, this is my boss' favorite place to take our department on the limited occasions we go out. His favorite is the hot, steamy, buttery rice. My favorites are the pita with hummus, and pickled vegetables. For my entrée, I like to get the chicken breast kabob plate, or the combo (beef & chicken) kabob plate. Their seasoning is different and very delicious. It comes with lots of traditional sides, and you'll most likely have something to take home. Their lunch prices are a little steep (~$14), but they serve big portions, and the food is top notch. I love to come eat for lunch, but I really love to when the bill is sponsored by my boss. Note: I'd say stick to lunchtime here, because I noticed a bullet hole in the south-facing wall, and you know what they say... The creeps come out at night! I rarely give restaurants 5 stars, however, this kebab house really outshines most! This is the closest thing to my best friends mom's cooking. Things I recommend: -Lamb chops -Barbunya (small fish that are fried) most of the time you have to ask the owner in advance -Branzino -Muhammara -Arais (minced lamb pressed thinly on pita bread soaked in delicious oils from the meat) -Labne -Fatoush salad -Fries ( basic I know but deliciously crispy) -Beefand chicken kebab -Baba ganoush (eggplant dip) -Hummus -Tabbouli -Chikoofteh (raw meat with cracked wheat) -Bourek This is the type of restaurant where you have to order various dishes, so you get to experience all the unique flavors of the Armenian culture. The food can vary, depending what area of the world Armenians come from; the flavors here are more Arab influenced. This is a family establishment restaurant and is well deserved to be supported. This restaurant is very delicious, and wasn't always as good as it is now.....Kebab Halebi used to be better than this restaurant (rival), however, because they stepped up their cooking, I can now confidently say this is the best kebab in the Los Angeles area at the current moment. read more

But first, let me disclose that I know the owners. And what I write is true, this place deserves a 5 for food! Food is a- 5 star & service is a 6 star! What more can I say! If I lived closer I would go twice a week! I want to try everything on the menu. My friends had been many times, but this was my first time. We went with work, and being a big group ordered a lot, Lebanese style, lots of mezzas and then main meals. A MUST try is a dish called "ourfa kebab". The best I have had. Also, "aintabli kebab" and that too was a treat, and few restaurants serve that. Know that they don't serve alcohol, and parking is limited, but a lot of street parking. This is a medium size or small place, not in the upscale neighborhood, so it's the posh fancy shmancy restaurant (hence why not a 5 star), BUT you will have real food with aromas and that good feeling you get in hole-in-the-wall secret places! I have been trying to eat more plant based meals lately especially salads. Chefs do a great job with the babaganoush and humus but portions are on the small size. I was disappointed with the fattoush salad. There was hardly anything in it and I ordered a large. 2 pieces of red pepper and maybe 4-5 slices of cucumbers and no mint. The dressing was good but they don't give you enough when you pack to go. We tried the eggplant and beef kebab that was overcooked and very dry and absolutely no flavor. Their prices are very high also. Restaurant is clean and service is nice but very expensive for what you receive so beware! Bring your wad of $$$$. read more

My parents and I have frequented this restaurant often and not once have they gotten our order right. On Saturday we placed two phones orders an hour in advance and only one was ready at time of pick up. The kid at the front seemed so confused like he had no idea what he was doing. This is the same guy that messed up on my mothers order one time we dined in. So their take out special seems pretty good... two lule kabobs and a drink for $8.99 but when you open it at home the portions are super small. My family and I had just returned from a long road trip and I left frustrated and hungry because if we waited for the rest of the food to cook, the order that was ready would get cold and who likes cold kabobs. Anyway, my father and I had to figure out what else we wanted to eat, wait for it to be ready and then waste not only our time but also gas and money. I called the restaurant and spoke with someone who identified himself as a manager. He had just reported to work about ten minutes before my call. He called me back three different times about my complaint to investigate but really it was to tell me that Joe had called us to confirm our order ( which is a lie). The Worst Experience of my life EVER!! "This is a Free Country so don't back here" was what the owner told us when we went to complain... So Yes this a Free Country and here is my Humble Input. We asked the waitress to get us adana kabob if it is available in chicken, the waitress told us she would check and let us know, then we get our food, so we though hey there were able to make it chicken, So people start eating and 2 of us don't eat beef, we took a taste and asked if it were chicken then the waitress Shrugs and says "OH no there was no chicken" So you thought you could brig Beef??? there was no apology nothing, then were upset, she come back 10 mins later and says sorry what i get you for that, so we were happy about the apology and request chicken, she come with that and take away the def plate while the others were eating it!!! What GAL & Rudeness!!! Top it all off with the owner's attitude, we say"sir we didn't like the over experience the attitude to the customers was rude" his response " Free country so don't back back!" Aside from perhaps their attitude/service, this restaurant is the best middle eastern food in the San Fernando valley. My family loves their lamb chops, but my favorite is their chicken kabobs--so tender and juicy and full of flavor! Their rice is the second best part--I can eat it on its own! I usually love this place and have been dining her for the past 5+ years. We always order the white meat chicken breast kabob. Last night we ordered it for pick up, came home to find it was all dark meat. We were so upset. I called the restaurant and the gentleman was arguing with me saying it's my word against his cooks word because he told him he made white meat. Um....Okay. Then the sweet girl got on the phone and apologized but was also telling me she watched her cook as he prepared the white meat. I don't know how many people watch their cooks making customer foods but this didn't make sense. I get people make mistakes, but just own it. That's all! Hopefully this was a hiccup and things like this don't happen, especially when you pay $32 for two skewers of DARK meat without anything except radish, pickles, and cabbage. read more

There bouregs are amazing, hummus dead on, lebne silky and smooth, kibeh hot and tasty, kabob always sizzling. Everything here is good honestly.
