Out of the blue recently, the word kolache has kept popping up. When my daughter mentioned it the other day, I thought OK we have to go and check this place out. My husband loved the sausage egg and cheese, but said it wouldn't be something he is like OMG we have to go back tomorrow. My oldest daughter had the sausage and gravy, the most popular, and loved it! one and she raved about that. My youngest and my son had bacon egg and cheese and they both liked it. The Kolach Factory was new to me, haven't heard or seen this ever before. They have these balls made of a sweet and light dough filled with different combinations. I got 2 to start my day. As a good St. Louisian I tried the St. Louis Slinger. It's was a full combo of all the expected flavors without the enormous plate of gluttony you'd get at a diner. The pepperoni pizza was a solid and safe choice and if absolutely order it again. My third pic was the bacon, jalapeño, apple, pecan and gouda. Talk about a flavor explosion! Visited the Kolache Factory early Sunday morning. Was able to walk right in and up to the counter to order. This was my first time visiting the store. I liked the way they had the menu boards set up so you can read what each kolache was and made it easy to decide what you want. They have both savory and sweet choices. I tried to email them, but there wasn't a contact email under "Contact Us" tab. We have been going here for yearssssssssssss. We still love the place, but they have dropped the ball today. Maybe someone new was working or something. Whatever the case may be, the rolls were firmer than usual and the sausage egg and cheese had no flavor. The Jalapeño Popper ( which are my favorite) was firm and the filling wasn't mixed correctly. They were missing their usual deliciously softness and flavors that normally pop. The inside of the Italian Chicken was dry. Seemed to be missing the mushrooms soup and cheddar cheese. We normally eat them in their entirety, but not today. We spent around $28.00. This is a little out of the way for me but we have driven by loads of times and always wondered what a Kolache is. We stopped in for breakfast over the weekend and had a great time making selections from the really good variety of choices. Since we were doing breakfast, we tried the egg and cheese, sausage bacon & cheese, sausage egg and cheese, raspberry & cream, gooey butter, and smore. The savory kolaches seem to be completely enclosed in bread (like a hot pocket but soft and round) and the sweet are flat and open, more like a small danish. All flavors were enjoyed but the smore was probably our least favorite. For my appetite, I felt like 2 kolache were needed to completely fill me up. One was not quite enough. There were lots of lunch-y choices that looked interesting. I saw bbq, pizza, meatball, and lots of other options. The kolache are room temperature on the shelves which seems kind of weird. They offered to heat mine up but declined. I asked and it sounds like they would just microwave them. I heated mine for between 20 - 30 seconds at home because I didn't want to have them heated in the store and then get cold by the time I got home. The interior is small and I don't think I would enjoy eating in. The staff seemed nice. We will be coming back to try some other options. read more

They were a little hard to find because I didn't realize their store was so small with only a few parking spots out front. Once you get in there's no seating so it's takeout only. There wasn't a line when we went on a Sunday lunch time. I had a local coupon buy 3 get 3 free so we tried a variety. Their bread is very good. The service was fast but just meh with no greeting and simple take your order. Our favorite was the barbecue beef, then probably the ranchero since it had a little spicy kick to it.
