    Biscuits and Gravy
    Lisa H.

Popped in on a Sunday for a last minute brunch. I've had my eye on this restaurant since they opened and it took me forever to fit it in. All the hype and we were just not too crazy about it. Hubby got the eggs and grits - it was good but just not great. I had the egg sandwich and felt the same way. Nothing spectacular. We also shared a biscuit and gravy. It was extremely salty, so we did not eat much of it. My wish was that they had their strawberry pop-tart (sold out) and that I would have tried the biscuit and jam. If I give it a second try, I might do lunch. We saw a couple sandwiches and salads go by and they looked really good. I will say that the latte is spot on - I would go back again to have another Brown Sugar Latte.

Sandwich with huge side of greens

I had a super delicious sandwich here. I didn't expect much when I ordered a basic turkey sandwich but it was so good. I wasn't going to eat all of it but it was so yummy I kept eating. I got greens on the side and the portion was huge. Very tasty as well. Cute place with a wall mural of flowers. I will say it gets loud in there - they could use some sound absorption panels.

    Holiday pop up!

My review this evening is for the Holiday pop up, this is our third year so I think it is now a tradition. We made reservations a little late and chose the time available at 9:00 pm on a Monday evening. I couldn't find the pop-up menu online so I couldn't preview and plan my order ahead of time. There were six of us this visit and both cars found a spot in the back lot, no worries at that time. We were greeted and seated right away, right in the middle of the dining room. Our waiter didn't come over right away, but we all needed to look at the food and drink choices. The decor is fun for the holidays, I loved the vintage santa in the windows and the Christmas tree with all the old-time icicles, nostalgia! For my first drink I chose the Cold Snap, it was delicious! The large ice cube had a candy cane imprinted on it, very impressive. The drink was amaro, scotch, maple, and cedar smoked rosemary, it was very smooth. I ordered marinated olives from the food options, I get them every year. Last years were citrus marinated and I liked them better, there a ton of olives in the order. My second drink was the Santa Suit, also very good but the nod goes to the Cold Snap. We all shared the Hummus Plate - the house made pit is delicious, the Porchetta roll - very good, and the Blue Crab Cakes. Can't wait to go back next year!

The Clover and The Bee is a good brunch spot with a casual setup--you order at the counter, grab a number, and find your own seating. We split a cinnamon roll that was delicious and definitely worth getting. I ordered the roast turkey sandwich with mac salad. The sandwich was very solid, but the mac salad was too spicy for my taste. Overall a nice spot for a relaxed brunch!

    Beef tar tar

I usually go there for lunch/brunch but stumbled upon their cocktail/evening menu which is from Wednesday to Saturday. They had a nice happy hour with 1/2 of wine from 5-6 . The wine was tasty and the servers were helpful with choosing wine and picking items from the menu. One things that difffent at night is that patio there is used for O and O and pizza . They did not have that open at nighttime hours. But the inside was still a nice causal fun environment. We got the beef tar tar and it was so good, it felt melt in your mouth with a great taste !

Tuna sub, cheese steak, hash-brown, s'mores latte

Overpriced food for mid flavors. It tasted premade, especially the cheesesteak and the hashbrown (which was $3 for the pre-frozen piece). Their coffee was muddy and overly sweet. Only decent item was the pasta salad.

I was very excited when my friend suggested The Clover & the Bee for a Friday night dinner. I've had it on my list to try, but didn't realize they even served dinner. I couldn't find anything online with a menu. When we arrived, it actually wasn't dinner, but a menu of small plates. I love spending money on good food and will pay a premium for a memorable meal, but man, this wasn't it. TLDR: High prices for tiny portions to be left beyond underwhelmed and disappointed. I ordered a chorizo butter oyster to start. I love chorizo and oysters separately, but this was repulsive. I was most looking forward to the spot prawns, and felt misled when it hit the table. Spot prawns are supposed to be large, succulent shrimp. What arrived (for I believe, $16 or $18) were tiny, rubbery and overcooked, pieces of shrimp. Maybe it was a cut up single spot prawn, but this was beyond frustrating for the price paid. Next, I ordered the pasta (don't have the menu online to reference for how it was described). For again, $16 or $18, I received a single ravioli, that while beautiful, was flavorless and lackluster with not enough filling and under al dente pasta. Most of it was the flat, unfilled chewy noodle. The only positives about the experience was the atmosphere and my espresso martini.

We always love our time at Clover and the Bee! It's always incredibly clean, has great service, and the food is delicious. This was my first time for breakfast and I definitely recommend for all times of the day!

    Cheesesteak
    Michelle L.

I've been wanting to try the cheesesteak at The Clover & the Bee for a while! I made it in on NYE and they were packed. I got the last table right by the door. The host sat me down with a menu and ice water but didn't mention you order at the counter. Eventually I figured it out. I ordered the Cheesesteak with the Cooper's Sharp cheese and pasta salad on the side. I asked if the pasta salad was a vinaigrette and the cashier said yes. This is the best cheesesteak I've ever had in St. Louis! Loved the bread, loved the ribeye, loved the cheese, peppers, etc. It was great. I'd order it again and again. I thought the pasta salad was awful. Also it was dressed in broken mayonnaise not a vinaigrette. I'll be back for the cheesesteak.

    Breakfast sandwich

You order at the counter then they bring your order to you. I ordered a chai latte and a breakfast sandwich. The chai latte was flavorful and tasty. The breakfast sandwich had egg, cheese and avocado. It was hard to eat it like a sandwich so I deconstructed it with a knife and fork. I enjoyed the fresh avocado. The egg tasted frozen that was reheated. This is a cute breakfast place that has a fun vibe.

    Tinsel Pom-poms & Santa Sleigh
    Christina H.

We really enjoyed the Holiday Popup! The cocktails were great! I had the Tinsel Pom-poms and my husband had the Santa Sleigh. The food was also really yummy. We had the Baked Brie, Brussel sprouts, wagyu burger & porchetta roll. It was all excellent! The Clover & Bee has been decorated for Christmas & the wait staff was dressed very festive. There is some parking in a small lot behind & street parking

Fried mortadella sandwich and cold smoked salmon bagel
    Hanna K.

Always the best brunch and atmosphere! I love love love this patio in Webster Groves. I usually go for the Strata, but switched it up this weekend and was definitely not disappointed. The fried mortadella sandwich changed our lives, do not let the simplicity of it in this photo deter you. The potato bun and jalapeño jelly on it are just the chefs kiss on top. The bagel & pistachio latte were both fabulous. The service is always friendly and speedy, which makes the whole experience even better!

Breakfast Burrito, Biscuit and Jam, Green Goddess Salad
    Money F.

Popped in on a Sunday morning which was risky because of brunch hours. We were able to be seated at a high top table within seconds! The place was packed so if you have a party larger than 3, I suggest preparing to wait. We tried the breakfast burrito with beef and added avocado and honestly, I could do without the meat. it didn't add any flavor but the avocado was perfect. The biscuit is salty with a nice crunch but soft on the inside. The jam really pairs well. The green goddess salad was delicious!! Who knew blueberries would tie a salad together? Chefs Kiss! The banana pudding latte was well presented but the flavor was a bit bitter. There was some sort of purée in there bottom of the cup to give the pudding flavor but it wasn't enough for me. The airy, floral ambiance makes Clover and the Bee so cute and relaxing.

The restaurant was accommodating of pescatarian/vegetarian dietary restrictions, with our server recommending several options we did not even have to modify. Katie's Pizza Rock Hill has a decent sized patio out front with plenty of seating, plants, and string lights. Inside is a minimal, upscale dining area with a full bar specializing in craft cocktails and ample wine selection. We tried their Merry Christmas Watermelon Cocktail and it definitely lives up to the hype! Great place for date night, meeting friends, or an upscale night out with the family!

Songbird is the Dolly Parton of St. Louis breakfast: bigger stage, brighter lights, same voice…read more I've followed this operation since it was a sandwich pop-up at the Tower Grove Farmers' Market, through the brick-and-mortar in The Grove, and now into its larger home in Tower Grove South. The quality has not wavered once. I ordered what I always order: The Combo (fried eggs, maplewood smoked bacon, cheese, brioche toast), extra egg, extra bacon. Most kitchens treat a fried egg as binary (runny or ruined). Songbird has mastered the middle register: lacy edges with a yolk that stays glossy and intact right up until the first bite. I ordered them over hard, and they came out a bit closer to over medium, but they were just as good as I wanted them to be. The bacon carries real smoke. This is a decadent sandwich, big enough that half of it would make a light breakfast; I wasn't remotely hungry after one, the second half was indulgent. The service made the move too. The hostess still recognizes returning customers, and the bigger room finally lets the dining experience breathe. The service at the table could have been a little warmer as we've had it the past, but it is still professional. I was there with two close college buddies, one of whom declared his latte excellent. I keep meaning to get adventurous with the menu, but it is genuinely hard to find a bacon, egg, and cheese toasted this perfectly, and I'd go twice in one day if given the opportunity. 4.8 A full five arrives the day when I can arrive first thing on a Saturday without a 30 minute wait, honestly, it's hard to get a reservation here because of its popularity. Good for them. Cheers to you, Songbird. Dolly would be proud

*Not accessible *Not kid friendly…read more This location has a lot of improvements to be made. The menu is bland and they deter you from making modifications. I wanted my toast's jam to be on the side and they said no. It was a thick tasteless brick without the jam. The items are not as traditional for a breakfast spot, and when I asked the server what they were known for she said the drinks.... They also run a tight turnaround time so they will make you feel uncomfortable when its time to clear your table and pay the bill because they will tell you the next reservation is in 5minutes. The plates were all different and my guest who got a sandwich had her food come out in a plastic fry basket instead of the nicer plates. Odd. As I mentioned earlier, they are not kid friendly as they don't have a kids menu or kid friendly items like fruit and pancakes. We ordered a side of avocado and chicken sausage as those were the safest for us. Also there are no changing tables in the restrooms. Accessibility note: the entrance is a giant multi-slope and 1 turn ramp into a cramped lobby. The men's restroom is the only one on the main floor and female restroom is tucked far in the backroom inaccessible due to a steep step in the back. It is not wheelchair or walker friendly.
