Biscuit and gravy (L) turkey and dressing (R)

Tried the place again. It's been a while because I'm trying to avoid carbs. Anyway... We shared a biscuit and gravy kolache, and a Turkey and dressing, as well as an apple pastry. All of it was delicious, but I think the biscuit and gravy was the standout by a small margin over the turkey and dressing. Pro tip: get both.

    Variety of goodness!!!

Just now getting around to posting this review, but I knew I had to do so. Was visiting family in January and they picked up these little (BIG!) gems. We had the sausage gravy, the polish sausage, cream cheese, and strawberry. Every single one was so scrumptious and delectable. Our grandnephews also gobble them down, alongside us. Honestly, this is a perfect pickup breakfast/brunch meal...all in a perfect package

Hands down my favorite spot for when I am craving kolaches! It's a definite plus that it is on my way to work. Kolache Factory has a variety of savory and sweet kolaches to entice every taste bud no matter what you are craving. They have breakfast kolaches and your typical sausage kolaches. If you are wanting something on the sweeter side, they also have a variety of fruit kolaches and other pastries, such as cinnamon rolls, strudels, and muffins. My personal favorites are the Ranchero, which is great for breakfast since it is filled with scrambled egg, ham, cheese, and jalapenos. They are larger than the other kolaches and are filling. The traditional sausage, jalapeno, and cheese is also a staple and you can't go wrong with this. I also love their Philly Cheese Steak which is filled with seasoned steak, grilled peppers and onions, and cheese and really does taste like you're eating a cheese steak. The pepperoni pizza is also delicious and tastes like you're eating a pizza. I also love their BBQ Brisket kolaches and they use Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce so you know it's going to be good! I also love their fruit kolaches and particularly love their blueberry, strawberry, and cherry flavors. They also have their fruit flavors mixed in with cream cheese which are also very tasty! I usually order a few extras when I come here. Just heat them up for a little and they taste just a fresh as if they just came out of the oven. Definitely make this your breakfast stop if you haven't tried them yet!

loads of kolaches waiting for your enjoyment

Fun place to visit and to experience something different. Yes people, kolaches are delicious, and kolaches are cool! Pretty simple concept, think of anything you might like wrapped in a dough ball. A hamburger, sausage and egg, a Philly cheese steak or an Italian chicken roll. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it was amazing. My daughter had the Italian chicken and talked about it all day. Very friendly staff, and yeah, the facilities could use some updating - otherwise five stars

Dropped-in for breakfast. My first time here. Not that busy on a Saturday morning. (A kolache is a type of pastry that holds a portion of fruit or cheese, surrounded by puffy dough. Originating as a semisweet wedding dessert from Central Europe and later a breakfast item in South London, they have become popular in parts of the United States. Wikipedia) Czech Kolaches are popular in North Texas. It's a priced Texas tradition. Texans eat kolache for breakfast and it's always in every Texans dessert table. I also ordered take out three dozens of different varieties of kolache for our families and our children. They have fruits top with kolache fruit jam. Also fillings, like mini sausage, egg/ham, creamy spinach, hotdog and their Kolache of the Month for March is Eggs Florentine. Great for breakfast, it's delicious. Cashier and Serving young lady told me that kolache shelf life is three days. If you keep it in the fridge is five days. But if you keep it in the freezer, shelf life is up to ninety days. You'll just warm it as you may eat it.

Holy crap !! I'm writing this review immediately after driving away from the store so I don't forget the details. Seriously the best tasting, freshest Kolaches I've had. The savory one were outstanding. Sausage and gravy was the real deal actually they all are. I had the BBQ Brisket, the sausage and gravy, the jalapeño popper and they were excellent!!!! I bought fruit flavors for my family back in Missouri, let's see if they make it all the way there. Definitely come visit this place!! Oh and a espresso bar as well so what's not to love

In A Nutshell: -If you are looking for the perfect kolache, then Kolache Factory is the place to go. -The reason why is that their kolaches are always soft & completely filled w/ whatever filling you choose. -I really love their egg/sausage kolaches, although I've tried many other variations throughout the years. Overall, you can find this chain in many places around the USA, just look them up online or on Yelp.

An absolute gem in Richardson -- we'll definitely be back!…read more La Casita Bakeshop completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming, and our server Diana made the whole experience. She was knowledgeable, genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, and so pleasant to talk to -- exactly the kind of hospitality that turns a good meal into a great one. The food itself was outstanding. We ordered the French Toast and the Birria Brisket Croque Madame, and both were incredible -- beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Croque Madame especially blew us away; it's the kind of dish you think about after you leave. The side hash rounded it all out perfectly. And then there are the pastries. We grabbed the Mango Sticky Rice Cream Puff and the Amaretto Cherry Basque Cheesecake Brownie from the Weekend Selections -- both were stunning, not just visually but in flavor. The cheesecake brownie topped with those cherry meringues looked almost too good to eat. Almost. Washed everything down with the Salted Honey Matcha and it was the perfect companion to the whole spread. Honestly, the hardest part was choosing -- the menu is so creative and well thought-out that we already have a list of things we want to try next time. And there will be a next time. La Casita has earned a regular customer. Highly, highly recommend.

Great food, but front-of-house operations and management are a total mess…read more My family and I finally visited La Casita Bakeshop over the weekend after seeing a lot of marketing for it. While the food itself was definitely good, the front-end operations were incredibly poor, and the service left a lot to be desired. The serving staff seemed completely untrained and lacked basic common sense, right down to knowing how to properly handle plates and utensils. To make matters worse, we encountered the shift manager, Jesus, on Sunday, May 24th. Not only was he arrogant, but he completely lacked Customer Service 101 skills. At one point, he told us the wait time would be an hour, yet there were four completely empty tables inside and servers were just standing around idle. He is clearly an inexperienced restaurant manager who does not know how to efficiently run a floor or manage a team. A major caution for potential guests ordering takeout: The staff has absolutely no clue how to properly pack food. They packed runny eggs into a standard cardboard box, which inevitably leaked right through the holes and made a massive mess everywhere (see attached picture). On top of that, for a bakery and coffee spot, they didn't even carry basic options like 2% or Lactaid milk. My humble suggestion to the owners is to invest some serious time and guidance into improving your front-of-house operations and management training. The kitchen is doing its part, but the front-end experience and sloppy packaging are dragging the whole establishment down.

Located among the shops and bars of historic downtown sits 1418 Coffee, a cute and genuinely great little shop that fits the area perfectly. Inside, the shop is fairly narrow but offers a good amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. I arrived with a friend a little before 11 am on a Sunday, and it was absolutely packed. A biking group was posted up outside, students were inside working on homework, even though most colleges have not started yet, and plenty of other patrons were taking their Sunday mornings easy. Despite having at least 10 to 15 people in front of us, the line moved pretty quickly. My friend who was more of a regular at the shop knew a lot of the staff and had convos with them. It feels like a little community! I ordered the Maple Sausage Croissant sourced from Sugar Loaf Bakery along with a hot Purple Haze latte made with lavender and vanilla syrup. My drink came out fairly quickly, and I thought it was great. It was well balanced and not overly sweet. As for the Maple Sausage Croissant, it was exactly what it sounded like, a maple sausage tucked into a croissant. I initially expected the croissant itself to be maple flavored, similar to a McGriddle, but it was still fresh and enjoyable. They had been keeping them warm in a heater throughout the morning, which definitely helped. I have stopped by 1418 Coffee a few times when visiting Dallas, and I plan to keep returning. They consistently do a great job and fit right into the charm of downtown Plano. RIYL: A warm haven in a beautiful downtown.

The baristas are all super friendly and were happy to answer all my questions. It's also super cozy with dim lighting, and the music isn't super overpowering or loud. There's mostly comfy couches but also a few tables and high top seating. Just a little chilly, so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. I was able to comfortably complete some work on my laptop, with working wifi. There were also people here socializing in the morning. They no longer serve breakfast tacos, so I opted for a bacon cheddar scone at one visit and a lemon blueberry scone on another. They were both delicious! The baristas told me that their chai leans toward the sweeter side versus the spicier side, so I opted for an iced sugar-free vanilla latte, which was not overly sweet. I also tried the beez neez (latte with honey and cinammon) another time and enjoyed it! They offer 2% milk, which I don't always find at coffee shops. Since it's in downtown Plano, there's street parking, which wasn't difficult for me since I came at 8 AM. I believe there are parking garages located nearby. Overall, I've greatly enjoyed 1418 Coffee and will most definitely be visiting more throughout this month while I'm working in the area!

The typical bakeries in this area (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen etc) are often chains, and focus on soft breads such as donuts and cakes, with the token boring croissant, and the Asian bakeries (also chains) offer a completely different style of breads, so to finally come across a place with innovative crisp laminated pastries is a treat! Note - they do not sell breads. I visited on a Friday morning around 8am and although there were only two people ahead of me in line, they were already out of almond croissants and I took the last sausage roll on display (but the bakers were probably baking more). There was a continuous flow of people in and out. The location is definitely set up to be a to-go place and NOT somewhere you come to sit and eat. No ambiance. No need to bring the friends and family, just send someone to buy a box of treats and enjoy at home. Being in a strip-mall complex, parking is easy.
