Let's start with the service. I walk in, it's 3 women at the counter. I'm not acknowledged by any of them. I ask for an egg and cheese croissant, she changes it to ham egg and cheese, I change it back to egg and cheese and then she says it'll be a 40 min wait. For a croissant??? What!! In the morning when you're serving breakfast, it's a 40 min wait for a sandwich. So I order the egg and cheese kolache, it was not good. I didn't eat it. The eggs taste hard like they were over cooked. The dough a bit soft like it was undercooked. Never again. Update: I know you don't serve it, I asked for one without ham, are you ignoring the 40 min wait. I was there today. I left my review 5 min after I left the store. I had excellent service at this Kolache Factory location. As soon I woke, I was greeted. I went in to redeem my free birthday coupon for an egg Kolache. Ingot a bacon, egg, and cheese Kolache and some BBQ briskets. The bacon, egg, and cheese Kolache was the perfect temperature; the eggs were cooked perfectly, and there was plenty of bacon inside of the Kolache, which was fried crispy. The BBQ brisket Kolache has a nice flavor, and the brisket was good quality, too. These are my go-to Kolaches here, and I recommend you give them a try, too. I have been here twice and have had an amazing experience both times. The staff are so, so friendly and there are so many different options for you to choose from both sweet and savory. I have had a chance to try out a couple of different flavors and you cannot go wrong with any of them. It's truly heaven in your mouth. If you are wanting something on the sweeter side, they also have a variety of fruit kolaches and other pastries, such as cinnamon rolls, strudels, and muffins. My personal favorites are the Ranchero, which is great for breakfast since it is filled with scrambled egg, ham, cheese, and jalapenos. They are larger than the other kolaches and are filling. The traditional sausage, jalapeno, and cheese is also a staple and you can't go wrong with this. Okay now, this my kind of BF. Stop by for some kolache and they never disappoint, always on point with their bakery yummie. I'm so full now that I may head to the gym after school runs. The food served at this store was ok. There were many different fillings available. The bread coating had a strange aftertaste that I didn't like. I stopped by to get 4 dozen kolaches for my coworkers at 6am. I actually found this place through google and I'm so happy I came here. I had an AMAZING experience! My order was taken the day before and when I arrived at 6am, the kolaches were warm and I had to do was pick them up. The kolaches were relatively small I thought they would be larger but they were tiny. You could polish one off in 3 bites so I should have seen the kolaches before I ordered them so I would have ordered more. The flavor of the kolaches are excellent. These are the best kolaches I've had here in North Texas by far. The only thing I would change is the portion size; make the kolaches bigger. Overall parking is great. This is yet another restaurant chain that going downhill fast, quickly sinking into incompetence. They've raised the prices on many items up to 45% + without updating their menus to reflect this. So, this morning I ordered 3 items which were advertised (on their menu) at (I think) $2.25 each, and they charged me $3.45 each. When I asked why this is so, they made excuses about how someone hadn't gotten the new menus to them in time, blah blah blah, i.e. lame excuses. They made me an offer and I accepted it at a certain price - a legally binding contract. Then - without saying a word in advance, even though they knew very well - charged me a different, higher price, and refused to refund me the difference. The food is still good, but I won't go back now that I know it's run like this. I've noticed that, ever since the pandemic, one food seller (of every type) after another is now incompetent when they were not before. They say it's because a labor shortage; okay. What's clear is that industry is imploding, and this joint is just today's example. I mean, have you been to a Popeye's lately? They have [I don't know what to call them] running those things; complete chaos. I predict that soon all the dysfunctional restaurants will be gone; the signs are all right there. Their sign said "Open." I pulled into the drive-thru. A young lady with a mouthful of marbles said: "We're smurfy shoomful crrduush." I said: "Im sorry?" More of the same. We went back and forth until I realized she said they were closed. When I asked what time they closed, she said: "schmoo ." I said: "two?" She said something akin to "yes." I looked down at my phone, as it turned to "2:01" on my iPhone. With all the time she was taking to tell me they were closed RIGHT AT TWO, she could have taken my order for two kolaches, taken my money, and I would have been on my way. What an embarrassment. The Kolaches here were absolutely delicious! They we are packed with filling and the bread was just enough. They're had a variety of kolaches and more. The reason why I'm giving it a 5 star is because they unfortunately microwave my kolache before giving them. I found that the microwave made the kolache very soft and slightly stale. However, when I got home I but it in my convection oven and all problems were fixed. So if you weren't planning to toast it and you don't like stale bread, I suggest you asking them to not microwave it. Last thing! Their croissants weren't the best. Holy smokes they have a Kolache Factory in Dallas! My first experience was in Houston and I fell in love. I love kolaches! I prefer the dough here better than the Little Czech Bakery (between Waco & Hillsboro). I didn't see much at this particular location, but normally they have fruit, sausage, ham & cheese, sausage, spinach, bacon, cream cheese, sausage & gravy, bbq, pepperoni & mushroom, Polish Hot, Texas Hot, Italian Chicken, chorizo & egg, Philly Cheesesteak, chicken enchilada, chipotle chicken, jalapeno ham & cheese, etc. My fav so far is the jalapeno popper (cream cheese, jalapenos, & bacon). YUM! YUM! YUM! I like anything spicy and they sure have a lot of spicy options. My other favs are the sausage & gravy, chicken enchilada, and Texas Hot. When I went into this particular location the smell of cleaning detergent was so overwhelming I couldn't smell the kolaches too well. Hopefully, it's not a common occurrence. I visited Kolache Factory today after receiving a happy early birthday email for a free sausage and egg kolache. I gave the employee my printed coupon and after glancing at it, she said "it looks fake". Initially, I didn't catch what she said and just allowed her time to examine the coupon. She again stated "this coupon looks fake". With her strong accent, I asked was she saying fake. She stated yes and asked where did I get the coupon from. Annoyed by her tone, I told her about the email while pulling out my phone to prove the validity of the coupon. I understand someone not knowing where a coupon came from and asking to show an email but for her to simply state "it looks fake" without any other response is offensive. We were told the kolaches are made fresh every day so there are limited supplies available. I ordered the barbeque beef ($1.99). It was pretty good! The dough was sweet and soft, the meat was well seasoned. My friend ordered an egg and cheese kolache. It was good but was a bit more expensive compared to mine. ($2.49) Things I didn't like: They throw the food out at the end of the day. I would like to see them donate it to a homeless shelter (perhaps sign a waiver of not responsible for allergic reactions, etc). It just seems wasteful especially when so many people are in need of a meal. I know a lot of restaurants throw the food out, but there are a few that donate it- which I appreciate! The prices were a little high for the size of the kolache, but the taste (kinda) compensates for that. They don't have a wide variety of non-pork products. Many of the items had ham, bacon, sausage, bacon and ham, etc. It would be nice to see a turkey bacon or turkey sausage for those who adhere to a kosher diet or simply don't like pig products. It was alright. Kinda like Dunkin Donuts but for Kolache. Personally, I much prefer Czech Stop because they got the doughy part right. It was also a little bit old and felt like it was sitting out for a while. I bet it would taste much better in the morning. I tried the chicken enchilada, Italian chicken, and the sausage, egg and cheese kolache. All three were delicious. My favorite is the chicken enchilada because it's a little spicy. The spice isn't "burn your mouth" spicy. It's just enough to add flavor. The restaurant was clean, I was very pleased with the customer service, and the price was right. The chicken enchilada and Italian chicken were $1.99 each, and the sausage, egg and cheese was $2.59. I only ate two, because they're filling. I ate the first two so fast I didn't take pictures.
