We had a good lunch here. My husband liked his food better than I did mine. We got great service and got to use some of our Spanish, but ordering was no problem if you only speak English. The restaurant is tucked into a corner of a strip of stores on the east side of Powerline Road. It's a small family owned place with "authentic" cuisine. They do a lot of take out as there aren't that many tables inside. When we dined in, all tables were full after we arrived. My husband was in the mood for soup and wanted their chicken soup. He got "hen" soup which is what he was told they had that day. I just ordered a couple appetizers and fast food items. His hen soup was very good. It was a nice sized lunch portion that came with white rice and tortillas. He said the broth was flavorful and it was full of veggies and chicken on the bone. I had a mixed pupusa which was okay. And a shrimp taco. The tacos here are done mexican style -- with cilantro and onions -- not "gringo" style. The taco was fine and quite reasonably priced, but not that filling. But it was what I ordered so I can't blame the restaurant. We had very good service and everyone was friendly. Next time we come, I'd try something else on their menu.

This place is amazing! Food was delicious and had great customer service! The birria tacos were one of the best in town and the sweet corn tamale was perfect! Make sure to use the red, hot sauce!

I recently found this spot near my work, and I'm really glad I did. Small authentic restaurant with quality ingredients. The prices are super affordable--about half of what you'd pay at Chipotle--and the food tastes way better. The staff was also really friendly, making the experience even better. The wings were just okay. They gave me all drums to start, but they wrapped them in tin foil, which made them soggy. Honestly, I didn't come here for the wings; the tacos and burritos are where this place really shines. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Exhausted after a long day. Nice to see this when I walked in!

I am so happy that when I did a quick search for tacos near me it brought me to K'Ondas Restaurant. A small family owned restaurant, they've been open 2 years. While I was there, regulars popped in and out to pick up to go items as well as sit down like a family. After a long day at work, I wasn't in the mood to cook. The first thing I loved was the greeting as I came through the door. Alexandria made me feel like a regular my first time there. Sandy was very warm as well. After telling her what I was in the mood for, she suggested trying three different items on the menu. First I had the chicken tostada, made on a homemade crispy corn tortilla. While a little messy, it may have been one of the best tostada's I've ever had! The chicken taco was served on 2 soft street corn tacos, also homemade. Lastly, I had a chicken and cheese Pupusa. Honestly, I felt like I was eating in their kitchen at their home. The chicken on all three was soft and flavorful, all fillings and toppings were fresh. Make sure to try both your mild green and spicy red sauces. You'll thank me after! This is not what I would usually rate a quote, unquote five star restaurant but the food was so good and the service so personal that I had to!

Hidden gem alert! This delightful restaurant exceeded all our expectations. Their homemade chips and salsa were an instant hit. Every dish we tasted was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and authenticity. Staff was friendly and attentive. Inside is small but has a good amount of seating. What made it even more special was introducing my mother-in-law, who lives nearby, to this culinary treasure. Her newfound happiness confirms that K'ondas is a must-try for anyone seeking deliciously cooked food!

While the steak baleada I ordered was too salty, the delicious shrimp pupusa and the friendly service made up for it. There are a few other things I want to try on the menu, such as some tasty-looking tacos and sopas, so I'll definitely be back on a future visit to the area.

This place is an absolute sleeper! Carne burrito was and the sauces were top notch. Just moved from Phoenix and have been dying for a good burrito. This is my new go-to. Service was great too

Authentic Honduran food is here. My wife (hondureña) and I (Mexican) came for the baleadas and we were blown away. The baleada was soft and filled with beans, steak, and shredded salty cheese. Yum. My wife got the breakfast and it's a big portion, she loved the eggs and chorizo. The service was top tier. The lady taking care of us really made us feel welcome. She was always attentive and polite. The place itself is small about 4-6 tables in a strip mall. Don't let it's location stop you from coming in for the best Honduran food in pompano beach. I'll definitely be back. 5 stars!

There are a few tables outside as well as tables and lounge chair, chairs inside. The decor is modern and comfy, with the idea that you'll probably want to relax and enjoy your food and drinks there rather than simply take it to go. The coffee drinks I've had here have been served perfectly. I ordered the shakshuka, and it was incredibly delicious. It came out piping hot in a cast-iron pan. The tomato sauce was rich and paired perfectly with the fried eggs and cheese. I was so happy that they provided crusty bread so you could scoop up all the remaining sauce. This is not a dish that you find at most breakfast places, and so I am pleased that they have this unique offering. This dish alone is worth a return trip soon. I also got an arepa to go. When I've had them from other places, I've found them to be too salty for my taste. This one had a delicate balance, and the cheese was rich. This place is always busy when I've driven by. It really is a nice place to lounge.-- have a drink, chat with friends, read a book. I only wish they were open just a little longer to capture the late afternoon crowd (because I like it so much!)

We have been to this building before when it was a few other places. This one seems to be a winner. They were quite busy when we were there. We looked over the menu. They don't list their daily lunch specials, but there's a small note on the menu to ask about it, so we did. We both chose it for our lunch. The day's lunch special included a delicious plantain soup. The broth was especially flavorful. The soup came first and then shortly afterwards came the entree. The plate had salad, cilantro rice, half a boiled potato, and a thigh/leg quarter chicken topped with a creole sauce. The chicken was quite tender. As the portion was so large, I wound up taking most of my soup home and half of my meal. We shared some very good flan with lots of caramel sauce and whipped cream for dessert. The guy at the neighboring table had a meat plate with blood sausage, chicarones, and churrasco. I'm not a sausage person, but the crispy pork and the steak looked delicious. The lunch special, btw, was very reasonably priced. I'm sure we will be back here again in the future.

Brissa our waitress was wonderful very attentive, friendly & welcoming. There was an older gentlemen - I didn't get his name. He was extremely nice, kept coming by to see if all was okay & collected our empty margarita glasses. We ordered the carnitas, chorizo & steak tacos. 6 in total & filling. All delicious especially that they make their own tortillas! Now let's discuss the salsa. Can you make the salsa bowls slightly bigger. Or less chips because the salsa finishes & you have plenty of chips leftover. I didn't want to keep paying for salsa just to finish the chips. I will definitely be visiting again and bringing some friends!

It almost felt like they did not like that my group wanted to spend on the happy hour priced food only. The steak and chorizo tacos were a bit overcooked. The chicken and pastor were very good. There was only one sauce to add and it was extremely spicy, no mild sauce. They gave us a small batch of chips for 4 of us and any extras was a charge. We all ordered margaritas, I had tamarindo and it was watery, I requested a shot of tequila to add. I pored half of the shot thinking it would be too strong and nothing. Right before I paid I smelled the shot since I still had some tequila left and didn't smell the tequila. I tasted it and it was watered down, it was never brought cold so I don't know if the bottles are refilled and maybe watered down. My opinion is if you are going to partake in taco Tuesday all day Happy hour you need to make it worth it. If you want to use a cheaper tequila that's fine, hh isn't top shelf liquors but a watered down tequila is an insult. Kindly advised

The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with fun music, TVs playing, and the staff has always been friendly and attentive whenever I've eaten there. Where they lose a star is the wait times (sometimes wait for a reallly long time) and the consistency of freshness... sometimes the food is outstanding, and sometimes it tastes old and rotten.
