A box of 6 beautiful pastries are priced at $10.50 - such a good deal. I've been coming here to grab a box every once in awhile to treat myself or to drop off to friends and family. We especially liked the blueberry lemon cake. That is just such a great combination. The tiramisu was traditionally made. Not an over abundance of soaked coffee flavor. The Boston cream pie cake had what seemed to be a butter cream layer rather than the traditional pudding like cooked cream. These mini pastries are a must for a nice snack or your next party. I ordered a birthday cake from Konditor Meister and my expectations and taste buds were blown away. First off, they were super friendly and accommodating, even given the current circumstances of COVID-19. When I went to pick up the cake, the employees treated me so kindly and ensured I was happy with the cake before leaving. Now, onto the cake. I ordered a gold cake with lemon and raspberry mousse and it was one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. I'm not a huge fan of cake in general, and I ate my entire slice with plans for another slice tomorrow. The cake was so fluffy, my tastebuds were transported out of quarantine and onto a bed of clouds. The lemon and raspberry mouse put this cake on another level. It made the whole dessert extremely moist and flavorful, all while not being overly sweet. The design and build of the cake was so well done and surpassed my expectations. I had to write a review as Konditor had gone above and beyond my expectations for a surprise party we threw for my mother. I made the order 3 weeks in advance over the phone, basing my design on one of the cakes posted on a website. I had A LOT of requests/adjustments I wanted to make (including removing an icing border, changing the entire design to white/white chocolate, adding gold detailing... just to name A FEW haha). The cake was better than imagined on pick up day and ready for pick up hours before it was scheduled to pick up. At pick up I wanted an additional adjustment made and the workers made it so easy to add (a banner to say happy birthday). Aside from aesthetics, the flavor and texture of the cake were phenomenal. We got so many compliments on our wedding cake! It was so beautiful and delicious! It was very easy to book our cake tasting and follow up appointments online. I loved how easy this was! The two associates we worked with were very nice and generous with the cake samples which is always appreciated! After our first tasting, they gave us a box of pastries to take home which was so nice! After our second tasting (I couldn't pick a flavor!), they let us box up the rest of the samples to take home. I found this very helpful as we were able to have our parents also sample the cakes and give their opinions as well. The cake samples were so moist and delicious. We were afraid that our actual cake for the wedding would be dry, but we were so wrong! We were so pleasantly surprised that the cake for our wedding was just as moist and delicious as it was when we sampled them! We got the strawberry grand marnier and chocolate/chocolate cakes. We had so many guests complimenting the cake and asking where we got it! Instead of getting a giant cake for 200 guests, we ended up choosing to go with a smaller cake for 125 guests which was for show/cutting and more round cakes in the kitchen for serving. We found this option to be very cost effective and were surprised by the large price difference this made. We found it very easy to work with the associates and just gave them a picture of what we wanted the cake to look like and some basic decorations that we picked up from Michael's. We also requested that the cake be covered in edible glitter. They were able to deconstruct the basic decorations and turn it into the most beautiful cake! Overall, we highly recommend Konditor Meister. We found the price to be the most competitive, and the taste and look to be outstanding. For the price and size I feel like Georgetown Cupcakes, Magnolia Bakery, or Sweet would all be better alternatives, in regards to the cupcakes. The marble roulade was uninteresting. I don't think I'd buy it even if I saw it anywhere else My mother said her tiramisa diamond was a bit dry, the cream puff actually had some kind of raspberry cream or something in it but she wasn't impressed. She said the fruit tart was good, especially the buttery crust. She would buy the tart again. We also got to try a sample of the German Stollen bread on the way out. I don't particularly care for it but my mother thought it was very good and that she would buy it as a gift. The customer service wasn't great. For the cupcakes I got, I was told it was a chocolate cupcake and a vanilla cupcake. I got them because I thought that's what they were. I don't care for Boston cream pie. The first time I heard about this bakery was at a friend's wedding which they ordered an 8 layered cake to feed 600 guests!!! Each layer was amazing!! Extraordinary!! I run out of words to describe how yummy the cake was!! The cake held up pretty well!! I remembered it was delivered around 4 PM and they didn't cut the cake until 10 PM, the cake was still very firm, and the cream did not melt at all when we had the cake It was so yummy and pretty that I decided to order Konditor Meister for my wedding (with my ex-husband). It was 10+ years ago!! Don't congratulate me!! Anyway, I remember vividly the cake tasting session and how excited I was as well as how thorough the staffs here were!! The strawberry shortcake was the most popular I think, but I liked the maple and the tiramisu the most!!! The cream is so pluffy and tasty!! The tiramisu didn't have much wine flavor, which is good!! Because years later, when I have kids, this was my go to flavor when ordering cake!!! The cake here is pretty inexpensive!! If I remember correctly, it is $29 for this yummy and tasty 8-9 inches cake!! The chocolate was really yummy as well!! I also love to buy the little pastries here and mix up different flavors. They have large cases filled with assorted individual desserts as well as full size cakes. The selection flavors are endless if you chose to custom order a cake. They have special prices if you purchase 6 or 12 items verses 1 or 2. You can assort as you wish but its impossible to pick just 1 ... or 2 or 3 or.... yes we went home with a dozen. I still haven't tried them all but I can attest that the Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake Tart is the best dessert I have ever tasted! I've been getting cakes here for 15 years and the quality hasn't really slipped in all that time. Everything was and still is reasonably priced. The strawberry grand marnier cake is excellent (not too much liquor) and the black forest cake is so fresh and decadent. Definitely get the chocolate dipped strawberries, as they are pretty fresh and delicious. I've had cakes from Finale where their strawberries are shriveled up and definitely not fresh. KM also did a really good job with my relative's wedding. If you don't want cake, get an apple flan or, better yet, a linzer tarte. The latter is probably the best of its kind around Boston, as it is rich, nutty, yet not too sweet. The balance of the raspberry tartness and the earthy nut flavor makes this so good. Definitely an underrated dessert over there... The small pastries like the key lime pies and chantilly swans (cream puff) are pretty good and reasonably priced. Konditor has expanded their menu to other desserts which are less German/European...hopefully they don't outstretch themselves. I haven't had problems with service so far, but I have heard that it has slipped a lot since. Hopefully I'll catch that right time where they're not in a grumpy mood... :-P read more

Been a fan of this bakery and its wonderful creations since the German Club in Walpole has been serving their cakes at their events. We ordered the Black Forest. The girl at the counter advised us to allow the cake to warm up for several hours before serving and it was nothing short of amazing when it was served. In the past I had always stuck to the Carrot Cake with Choc Covered Strawberries, last year we got a Chocolate Torte with Oreo Frosting layered within... I got the 16' (At the time it didnt sound soo big), Well let me tell you, IT WAS HUGE... It was the size of a pizza and that doesnt sound high, but it was like 3 layers high & it was SOO big & there were leftovers for a while... It was absolutely delicious, The designs were ok.. I tend to hate the cloud and sky thing they do on the sides of their kids cakes, but other than that it was ok... We had a jungle theme & there were all little things on it that matched the theme... My friend's hubby ordered 7 cakes for her 30th bday party and I feel in love with the strawberry grand marnier at first bite. I recently just ordered it and the Oreo one for my sons bday. The strawberry was the win. Most of my family members loved it. The chocolate Oreo was good but they prefer the strawberry over that one. Moist and not to sweet. I can literally just eat the frosting on the cake and not feel sick after from the sweetness. I will be goin there tomorrow actually to pick up another order of the strawberry for my mothers bday.
