This is for the horrible customer service I received today. I had a woman who was older, glasses , a ponytail, dark hair. unfortunately I did not get her name. She started out friendly enough but got aggravated with me because I was asking what the pastries were and " moving from case to case " on her. She complained that the doors were heavy and I kept jumping around. I've never had any other worker complain about that before and I've gone there several times. I asked what one of the pastries was and she was like it's the same roulade you just asked about! I'm like sorry but they look different. And for some unfathomable reason they don't label their pastries so it's always a guessing game except for the obvious ones like carrot cake. I called in to pick up a cake for the next day and there had been a minor mistake and I asked the person who was helping me to see if he can ad a letter. (Again very minor mistake). He spoke to someone who may have been the manager and his demeanor came off cold and he told the employee to see keep the slip in a nasty tone and he said I'm going to find out who made this mistake. I completely understand how this may have set them back by a milli second but again it was not a MAJOR deal to add a letter. they were able to fix the error but the way the manager talked to the employee was not alright he was just trying to help me out to the best of his ability. Shot a wedding with the wedding cake made from here and it was Ah-mazing. The buttercream was so creamy and not too sweet - and so smooth too. From the moment we walked in for our first visit (even though there was a small wait) the cake consultant, Autumn was extremely helpful. We didn't even come in before hand knowing what we wanted! The owner, Günther even personally stopped by to chat with us several times to make sure we were doing well! I was surprised they paid this much attention to someone who had a package through the vendor. They did not pressure us on our first visit to upgrade any features to increase their profits even though we had a vendor package. They welcomed us and fed us as much cake as we wanted until we were all caked out! Then on our way out to win us over even more, they even gave us a complimentary box of a half dozen pastries from the bakery we could pick out! The people we went with loved the cake so much they also ordered their own pastries. He and the consultant helped our group of 4 into a private room filled with bridal magazines to start the cake tasting. Strangely the place felt like a ice box so we all kept our winter jackets on! They also offered us water, tea and coffee to go with the delicious cake. Looking back we should have just decided on the cake design on the first visit since the second was redundant and the second consultant had horrible halitosis. Our idea of what we wanted did not change much on the second visit and we didn't get to try any more flavors we missed out on! It's very convenient that you can easily make an appointment online on their website. While at the cake tasting each consultant may also be helping out another group so you may not see them for intervals. I wish they would have let us know where the hot water was so we could have refilled our own tiny tea cups or if they left a pot of hot water. I'm unable to find a pricing sheet on the website since they probably want to price everything by custom order. Anyway the average 4-tier wedding cake is about $450, which was all covered in the venue package! We personally paid a bit extra for the rolled chocolate leaves for the circumference of the cake. We couldn't get away with just buttercream frosting in this instance. We also had a front plaque that had our initials and the date of our marriage, since we didn't get cake toppers. The best part was we got to choose 4 flavors and it wasn't easy! The bottom obviously is the largest so we went with Tiramisu for the large Italian population of guests, Mango (we all thought this was to die for!), Lemon Raspberry and their signature Strawberry Grand Marnier for the top layer just for us! In the end we had about 1/3 of the bottom layer left over and I shared it with my co-workers. Either they were being nice or they all really enjoyed how it tasted too! One of the weakest points for KM was definitely the flexibility in deciding on the final design and colors. The consultant showed us the display cake with the beautiful leaf wrap, and the dark green leaves and floral design was just too tempting! I wanted it for my own (if you want to see the "inspiration")! I wasn't sure if we wanted a shade of green as dark so we asked for other colors. The second consultant provided us some swatches... Those swatches that she showed us were basically just fabrics of paper. We should have brought a swatch of the dress in retrospect. They unfortunately did not replicate the colors I envisioned completely. Perhaps that's my fault since we didn't insist on seeing more that what she provided. It did not seem like they even had a coral. The colors were a bit off, but I don't think anyone at the wedding noticed. Instead of having coral flowers it turned out to be pink and light pink with a brighter spring green than expected. I have always had great customer service when I came. Today especially when the male worker greeted me with a big smile and was able to accommodate me. He brought me the cake and also answered questions with me with a big smile. A+ customer service. The cakes are are also pretty big and decadent, you do not need a big slice of cake in order to feel satisfied, so I always order the 8 inch cakes. It is also reasonably priced, 34 dollars for the small cake but can feed up to 10-12 people, but can easily stretch to 15-16 people. This is by far the worst experience and birthday cake, ever. First, we ordered a marble cake, and this is nothing close to a marble cake. The chocolate mousse is so horrible, the texture was very thick and not smooth at all - it tasted more like frosting than chocolate mousse. No adults or kids finished a slice of cake. The cakes only come so small so I ended up getting one that was large enough to feed several people. They cheapest I found was around $38 but I purchased one I liked for around $50. I can't believe I've only heard of this place recently. For less than $2 a piece, these are some quality pastries! When you first walk in, it is filled with the delicious smells of cake!!! My sons FIRST BIRTHDAY CAKE was a HOT MESS and EMBARRASSING to look at. He's going to be 2 and as I look for a new baker, I am re-traumatized by the experience with his first cake. I was told I'd get a white chocolate coating/frosting which was their version of a fondant frosting. I was told it could be decorated in the same manner as a fondant. I ended up with a butter cream frosting with an uneven surface. An orange cake that was supposed to be red. The design was crooked. And the topper looked as if it had been printed using ink that was 80% finished. Just patchy , lots of horizontal lines, and not vibrant. I paid almost $200 and the cake looked like it was made by an amateur in their personal kitchen. Where could I get another custom cake on such short notice? It was dreadful and the reps weren't sympathetic AT ALL. They were just shrugging like oh well, uh, you still have to take it I mean what else could I do when I have a huge birthday bash in 3 hours? Once upon a time Konditor Meister was a five star cake place. Yes, wedding cake and all ... but that was in the nineteen-nineties. Now the cakes are still pretty good, but signs of decline cannot be ignored. I am ordering about a half dozen cakes from Konditor Meister per year, which means that I have a pretty good sample pool. Champagne cake as well as Grand Manier both are good, but the strawberries they use are usually pretty bad. I suggest to avoid any strawberry decoration! Order processing, execution and record keeping is a mess. For a pickup, I now always plan for 30-45 minutes. It usually starts out well. There is lots of staff behind the counter eager to serve, but then the problems start (every time). Finding the order sheet always seems to be a challenge. Damn that my last name starts with an "S". Always the thickest stack. Once the order is located, someone disappears to actually prepare the pre-ordered signage. You may wonder how long it takes to write: "It's a boy." Why a simple pre-ordered sign is never ready at the scheduled pick time is disappointing. read more

Hello, Brides of 2023 ----PLEASE BE WARNED,------ where shall I start? My daughter ordered a cake for her wedding on 5/27/2023, which was never delivered to our wedding location. Konditor Meister never did a thing to make this right. The venue coordinator started calling the bakery between 4/5 pm that evening. When she finally reached the floor manager, she was told the cake was delivered and left at the kitchen behind the bar, and someone by the name of Pinto signed for the cake. The venue coordinator and her staff searched the entire venue, and no cake was found. this place only has one kitchen.. When she called the floor manager back, to tell her the cake was not on site, she was told the cake had been delivered and nothing they could do about it. Until they could get a hold of the driver... Well first fail the driver could not be reach K. M. never once took responsibility for making this right they did nothing not even as much as to offer a tray of cookie or cupcake until they could get a hold of the driver to go back to the location where he delivered the cake. They left us hanging with no options and no follow-up with the customer to ensure the cake was delivered. No control of the driver if they could have reached the driver we may have found the cake. They lack care and customer service skills they have no problem-solving skills especially the floor manager who could not even come up with a plan to make this right that evening. The venue coordinator ran out to the local grocery store to buy a small cake so my daughter could cut something. An option K,M never offered us. She decided not to cut the cake because it was so small but the effort on behalf of the venue coordinator was outstanding, she felt horrible for us. We missed out on cake cutting and pictures I had nothing to serve my guest. And the worst part about this was I had to call them the next day they never tried to call my daughter with an explanation of what happened. To think they could not get a hold of the driver, what kind of people do you have delivered on behalf of your bakery? So, brides, please proceed with caution you must add one more thing to do on your wedding day if you order a cake from this place, it's up to you to make sure they deliver the cake to the correct location that's your job now. read more

The cakes are great and they offer many signature flavors. My family loves their pies and we usually serve Konditor pies at our holiday parties. Konditor is a very fundamental type of bakery that offers all the classics done well. With so many cakes being ordered for special events, many overlook their stellar baked goods section that offers an insane amount of tasty treats in bite sizes for little more than $1 each so you can sample a lot of a little. The negatives are as said, parking can be a bit troublesome on busy days. Also there are many young employees here that don't know much about customer service. I find service here to be a mixed bag.
