Usually I try to avoid ghost-kitchen-y type of businesses, but the menu looked intriguing; it's charming that the calzones on the menu are named after areas throughout California and the ingredient combos in the calzones looked intriguing. I ended up ordering the Santa Cruz calzone as well as the garlic stuffed cheesy bread. Food arrived in spiffy brand-labeled cardboard boxes. Food itself looked good also.....now time to dig in! I took a bite off of one of the edge pieces of the garlic stuffed cheesy bread.....the bread was super delicious. Pillow-soft, crispy, not greasy at all. I was pleasantly surprised and was going to be a super fan of it until I reached the garlic white sauce. Way too rich, and there were globs of it inside the center bread pieces. Thought the calzone would help redeem things a bit. Nope. The BBQ sauce sauce drizzle on top of the calzone was way too sweet (tasted like cheap-o BBQ sauce). The syrupy pineapple bits inside the calzone didn't help either. Instead of completely tossing the food, I ended up dismantling the calzone and the cheesy bread focusing on just the bread parts. Overall, nice food presentation and menu offerings, but the taste was way off the mark.

The food was fabulous, there was plenty of it, and they even worked right through a massive storm in our backyard without missing a beat. We are actually using them again tomorrow for a huge event of 150 people, and they have been wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. They are incredibly responsive and have been so flexible with us--I am so looking forward to having them back! Their setup is stunning. The display of street tacos, the beautiful, colorful tablecloths, and all the little extra touches they add truly make the experience come alive. I HIGHLY recommend them. Want to give a big shout out to Sinful Treats because we've used them quite a few times over the…read moreyears and they always come through. I still remember the very first order we placed. I had asked for a unicorn pull-apart cupcake cake before I feel like those were even really a thing yet, and she absolutely nailed it. It turned out adorable and honestly started our obsession with pull-apart cupcake cakes ever since. They're just so much easier for parties, especially with kids. Everyone can grab their own cupcake without the whole cake-cutting chaos, and I love that there are usually little mini cupcakes worked in as fillers for anyone who just wants a tiny sweet treat. Not only are the desserts cute, but everything we've ordered has always tasted fresh and delicious too, which matters just as much to me as how it looks. One thing I really appreciate is how creative they are with custom orders. I've gone in with ideas before and somehow they always make them come to life even better than I pictured. Helpful tip: If you have a kid birthday party coming up, definitely consider a pull-apart cupcake cake. It makes serving so much easier and the kids absolutely love it.
