My sons kx 65 have the bottom end blow on practice day of his race at Barona. He was so bummed out. We took his 65 here and it's all fixed now. We had the top end replaced at B&R cycle because we assumed it was a top end but sadly it wasn't. Our friends at our normal place were out of town and we were referred here and they did a great job.

    Mine is the fast one.

I've been a faithful client of Kontiki for over 10 yrs, and I've had nothing but great things to say about them. They're reliable and friendly professionals. They've worked on numerous bikes that I've owned. I have had everything from routine service to major service performed by the techs there. As a side note, any establishment that has the same address and location for over 20yrs, is probably reliable. I love this place.

I've been going to Kontiki for almost 30 years and they have never let me down. They are extremely knowledgeable, HONEST, quick, and just really great people to work with. My most recent purchase is an oddity from South Korea. I had called six different shops to see if anyone could do an inspection. (Kontiki was closed and I needed it that day.) Not a single shop knew what an ATK/Hyosong was, nor were they willing to work on one. I brought it into Alex, after I bought it, for a thorough review and he knew exactly what it was and what it needed. He was also very generous. I'm am so grateful Kontiki is still here! I wouldn't take my bikes anywhere else. THANK YOU ALEX!!

I really like finding owner/operators like Konstantin. Sounds cliche but when you own a business…read moreand interact directly with the customer and provide them a service, you're much more likely to care about what you're doing. I needed a front fork seal rebuild on my bike. I'd gone by a big local place up in Kearny Mesa (won't name) and dude was dismissive, like 'ah yeah a couple hours to pull the forks, a couple hours to rebuild...but we're a month out to get you in'. Acted like he didn't want my business and wouldn't even provide a number 'uh yeah like $130/hour times 4 hours, and yeah parts too'. Gel haired, flat brimmed, frosted tip 50 year old goofball. SD moto did a 24 hour turnaround. Yep, actually less than 24 hours. They preemptively got the parts (he paid for them) dropped bike off Friday, picked up Saturday. Beyond happy. I have a valve clearance coming up in a few thousand miles and I'll coming here. Also he's from Bulgaria , not Russia. Good guy! Edit Bulgaria NOT Belarus haha. Sorry!

I then came across SD moto repair & found brother constantine. He is a 1 man worker but he does work at a fair price, & does it a good time frame & i have been taking my ZX10R to him for some years now for oil changes, tire changes, brake & master cylinder work, front & rear sprocket & chain replacement etcc.. he was even able to find me a replacement fairing for my Zx10R which are hard to find now because of my bikes age & he helped me today (9/13/25) properly fit a green rear seat cowl on my ZX10R that I bought on Ebay that is seen in this photo. I would reccomend him to any rider that needs their cycle serviced for fair pricing, good work & good turn around time. He also doesn't tell his customers "your cycle is too old" as the motozone mechanic told me years ago.

WOW!! What an experience! I stopped by San Diego…read moreHarley-Davidson with my bestie just for kicks. We are not motorcycle people but we thought we would stop in before heading to dinner on a Saturday night. We walked into this gigantic warehouse and were immediately welcomed in by David. He was very professional and knowledgeable from beginning to end (and very easy on the eyes, ladies! lol). He gave us a full tour of the facilities and explained that Harley-Davidson isn't just about motorcycles, it is indeed a culture, a lifestyle! He took us to every part of the warehouse. From the sales floor decked out with what seemed like hundreds of motorcycles, to the back area packed with merchandise for purchase (clothing, decals, accessories, etc.), he left no stone unturned. He also showed us the full service department like they have at car dealerships. He then led us outside and around the building to another "hidden gem." Did you know this place has a poppin' indoor pickleball court? Yesssss!!! I've only ever played one time and I was actually decent, lol. I would love an opportunity to play here! Although bestie and I aren't into motorcycles, I'd be lying if I said I didn't fall in love with one that I saw. It was right at the entrance when we walked in. She is a gorgeous TEAL color and damn, I probably salivated just a little when I saw her!! Idk if I'd ever own one, but if I did, I'd imagine it would look something like her! Can't you just picture me on it? =) We ended the tour outside at the front of the building, where David explained a little more about what they do here. I highly suggest coming in if you have some time. And if you're in the market for a Harley, they have pre-owned ones as well as brand new ones in stock. Ask for David, and you will not be disappointed!! This was a wonderful experience all around. Maybe one day, I'll end up with a gorgeous bike from here, who knows? ;)

The location is right next to La Jolla Costco, so I've passed by many times. My boyfriend wanted to check it out, and once we walked in, we were absolutely blown away. The space is huge, like a gigantic hardware store for motorcycles with bikes everywhere from left to right. There's even a small back area with games, including pool and Connect Four. You can also head outside down a ramp to a whole pickleball area and a bar that's connected to the Harley-Davidson store. I would definitely recommend stopping by to check out the motorcycles, they're incredible. You can even go upstairs to their outdoor bar, which had such a great vibe. The staff was super kind, letting my boyfriend hop on a bike to try it out. Watching the engine start was so cool, and everything in the store was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it was a fantastic visit!

I took my Big Dog motorcycle in last year to have carb work done and an oil leak fixed. He did the carburetor but when I went to pick up the bike I noticed an oil puddle under it. When I asked about the oil leak he said "its probably a primary cover bolt that went too far through and is leaking in the back, just put some thing in there to plug it up". I told him "no, i brought it in for you to fix the oil leak. can you please take it back and fix it?" After fixing the oil leak my bike had electrical issues and wouldnt start. Unfortunately I had to have him fix that too. 3 Jobs done, zero calls upon completion. I had to call him sporadically to get a condescending "were still workin on it" then when its ready and call I get a "its been ready for almost a week now" resulting in my bike being at the shop for over a month. When I finally got the bike back there were over 10 new scratches on my tailpipes, engine, and forks. Randy denied any involvement. After bringing the bike in and showing him the multitude of scratches I got him to agree to detail my bike so a potential buyer might not see the scratches as well. He said he was too busy to do it this week and would call me. To my surprise i never got a call
