Randy is the worst mechanic I have dealt with in my life and extremely unprofessional (And I think he is the owner). I took my Big Dog motorcycle in last year to have carb work done and an oil leak fixed. He did the carburetor but when I went to pick up the bike I noticed an oil puddle under it. When I asked about the oil leak he said "its probably a primary cover bolt that went too far through and is leaking in the back, just put some thing in there to plug it up". I told him "no, i brought it in for you to fix the oil leak. can you please take it back and fix it?" After fixing the oil leak my bike had electrical issues and wouldnt start. Unfortunately I had to have him fix that too. 3 Jobs done, zero calls upon completion. I had to call him sporadically to get a condescending "were still workin on it" then when its ready and call I get a "its been ready for almost a week now" resulting in my bike being at the shop for over a month. When I finally got the bike back there were over 10 new scratches on my tailpipes, engine, and forks. Randy denied any involvement. After bringing the bike in and showing him the multitude of scratches I got him to agree to detail my bike so a potential buyer might not see the scratches as well. No support in a bicyclist getting ran off the road by a car I called and asked if they would be able to provide any camera footage they said they didn't have anything to provide with any cameras. Went to the shop and behold cameras pointing at the exact spot I got ran off of. Which rental company says they don't have cameras at a shop where they are leaving rentals outside I rented a slingshot from them one time and will never be going back to that shop again. Decided to ride to Sturgis this year from San Diego and took my '09 street glide into Randy for service and inspection, no appointment needed. A quick inspection in the parking lot, discussion on what it needed, and I was set. Agreed upon work was completed on time and the bike ran flawlessly all the way, just at 3700 miles round trip plus riding while there. Randy and crew have helped me out a lot over the years with other bikes as well. Giving free advice and even recommending other shops when needed for my older bike. Can't say enough about the entire team and recommend Cycle Visions for everything. read more

Randy is the most miserable person I've met in many years. i brought my bike there, one of his employees told me to do so, when i arrived with a tow truck he said he didn't want to accept the commission...WTF. he was condescending, erratic and stressed far beyond his ability to remain in control. he made no sense, dude's crazy... and i had to pay a buck twenty to return my bike to my house. don't waste your time....and, i had my wheels balanced there, they didn't even air them to 32, WTF. read more

This is by far the best HD shop in San Diego. Friendly knowledgeable staff and first rate mechanics to create the bike of your dreams. I found a stock 2005 Softail that needed some love and decided on cycle visions owner Randy, parts guru Jesus, and motor maniac Hughey to get it done. They didn't disappoint. We added custom black powder coated lowers, a new 21" C&C wheel with dual 13" rotors and calipers, and finished it off with new black levers, hidden turn signals, and steel braided line. 30 days later I was back for direct gear drive replacing my cam chains which were due to HD cam chain tensioner shoes being an issue since 1999 until Harley updated to hydraulic cam chain tensioners in 2006 and 2007. I decided the gear drive was the way I wanted to go. Less parts, less headache in the long run, and more torque. We replaced the oil pump and added new 5:1 cams that light up around 2,500 RPM since we were already in there. While we were doing engine work, we sent out the fuel tank and fenders for new paint and created a whole new machine from the bottom up. The pictures speak for themselves. I'm beyond stoked with the results. I cant say enough about how well Randy and his crew treat their customers and the quality of work they perform. Randy just picked up the phone and I asked if the had or could point me in the direction of getting a part and the guy literally yelled what do you want I was recommended this place by colleagues who come here who I'll be telling about my experience and insisting they take their service elsewhere. My husband, Randy, asked me to write this review because he's not on Yelp but I am. He has been taking his Harley Davidson motorcycles to Cycle Visions for years for various services because the work is done correctly the first time and the pricing is fair and honest. To back up that statement, he took his bike, a 2020 Softail Slim, in this morning for brake work. They looked at his brakes and promptly told him that no work was needed today, the brakes are fine for now. We all know there are other businesses that would not have been so honest and would happily have taken his money for a service that wasn't necessary. He made up some story that I had inner primary leak and the job was gonna cost 500$? When all it needed was a rubber o ring ? And when I tried to buy a rebuild kit for master cylinder? He tried to sell me one that was in the shape of a triangle , the rubber piece on top? When mine was clearly rectangular? When you own a 2022 Street Glide, and you purchase a custom sissy bar, and need removable side plates, your only resource is Cycle Visions. CV8085B 169.99 plus tax. The fabricator installed the plates on this sissy bar. I wasn't too impressed with the look ( but lacking another company making these, you make exceptions). I got on my bike to drive home, and by the time i got there, the Phillip's head screw had fallen out of one side and the latch was missing and came loose in the other. I called the store where I initially purchased the Side plates and was told she would call and find out how to replace the latches. I just received a phone call from her, she said they did not sell serviceable parts and my only recourse is to purchase another set. Needless to say, I will not be doing that, I will ask my fabricator to make me a set as I can purchase the OEM latches without the sissy bar Thank you for the non existent customer service read more

I've driven by the place dozens of times, knew it was there, but now as a new Harley owner I need some help. My Vance & Hines pipes are too loud for me and I want something not as loud. I stopped in and spoke to Randy, his help and service was over the top. He took the time to check out my bike and recommended a different baffle for the pipes. Randy spent a lot of time with me as a life lon g bike owner but new Harley owner. I asked a lot of questions and he took his time and answered them for me. Called in because I had a problem with the LED strip on a license plate frame relocation kit. One of the side had completely stopped working. As soon as I called in their staff had directed me to take some pictures, send contact info, a snap shot of the purchase receipt, and send everything to the email given. Don't bother. Guy was a total dick and unprofessional. When I walked in he was on the phone dealing with some personal stuff and never got off while trying to deal with me picking up a bike I had reserved. When I went to get it, he told me he needed a card to hold $2k on, which I didn't know and didn't have a card on me with that much balance. He said real sarcastic "well I guess you didn't read the fine print, did you?" After that I wanted to cancel my rental, but of course they don't allow cancelations. So I paid extra to only gave a $1k hold on my card. Then when we went to the bike, the throttle was sticking. When I blipped the throttle it got stuck in the open position. He right away said "don't do that" in his dick head attitude. I did it again to double check and he said it again. I told him it shouldn't do that, right? I've been riding motorcycles my whole life and know a throttle shouldn't do that, it's not safe. So then he got some tools and adjusted it. After that it was all good, the bike was older but nice, sounded like it needed new brakes, but they worked fine. I'll never rent from these guys again! There's an Indian dealer close by that rents brand new bikes for cheaper than this place. I'll go to them. read more

Stopped in here to get a same day service done on my 14 Street Glide. Solid team here and they know what they are doing. They have harley and Indian rentals and a Polaris slingshot (Google it) that can be rented. rates seemed fair and the selection is huge. Great service department overall with parts and gear for sale too. Next upgrade of rear suspension will be done here too. Bike was wiped down when I picked it up and they offered a detail but I declined. Going back for sure. read more

I went to get my Harley serviced and a new tire put on. I rented the Indian Vintage since there's a great deal if you rent with a service. This bike was spotless and very well maintained. Rode like a dream! The rental process was quick. I dropped my bike off and before I knew it, I was out the door cruising around on a rental.
