Alright, this is one of those coffee houses that I would give a 5.5 stars. Taste, price, and experience was great! It's located on the first floor inside Asian garden mall, which is a very nostalgic mall for many people who grew up in the area or who visit the Bolsa area. I stopped by today to look for a good size hello kitty plush and found it. Then I left and was looking for a place to read and do personal planning but my phone ran out of batteries, so I decided to go back in and get a drink at Koo Coffee and stay a few hours at the tables. This specific unit has changed many managers/owners before but it has mostly been a boba/coffee place. After looking at their menu I decided to get their pandan coffee and added the coconut foam on top. The foam was $1 more and the total of the drink was $6.50 for the regular size which I think is very reasonable. I know when coffee is good when I drink it all. 99% of the time I get coffee and only drink less than half because I only need a little bit of it to get energy and to enjoy the taste. My drink from Koo was delicious and beautiful and I indeed finished it. I could taste every single distinctive flavor: pandan, coffee, and the coco foam. It is very well made with perfect sweetness level and their ice level was good, too. One of the owners, Dan, came over for a chat after I told him I enjoyed my drink. We had a good chat about his business and I met the owner, Diem, the talent behind the recipes! I wish them good luck on their business endeavors and thank you for the hospitality. I will be open to trying other drinks whenever I'm at this mall or this area. One suggestion I would give: they do have a brown sugar milk drink. Although I like brown sugar, I don't like it with just milk. I would recommend providing the option to get their brown sugar with milk tea. If their milk tea is good, I think brown sugar and foam on the top will be a splendid drink that is yummy and picture worthy! read more

The definition of a hidden gem! They really have the best matcha I've ever had and I was informed that their matcha is imported from Japan! I went after a day in Disneyland since it's not too far and I'm so glad I did :) I got the ube coffee, matcha brûlée, and banana matcha and they were all amazing. They are right in the center of the mall and have lots of seating available. I got three different drinks. First up was the wintermelon grass jelly. I went to asian garden mall for the summer night market and stumbled upon this new drink place. I got the pandan matcha while my mom got the sugarcane + kumquat drink. The pandan matcha was really good. They use Japanese ceremonial tea and housemade pandan. The drink was a little too sweet for my taste but after the owner asked for feedback and I gave him my honest thoughts, he offered to remake it for me. I declined because the drink itself was still really good and after the ice melts, it should balance out the sweetness. To note, he mentioned that you can request the staff to reduce the sugar level next time. As for the sugarcane + kumquat drink. They used fresh sugarcane and the flavor was very prominent in a good way. However, it was also on the sweet side, which i think is common for most sugarcane drinks when you first start drinking it. However, the melted ice should again balance out the sweetness. Overall, the service and drinks were really good and I am glad that they are taking in feedbacks to better their drinks.
