Staff is super nice. Food seems really fresh. I like that they have homemade ranch rather than the bottle. I got a Vietnamese coffee with Boba and a five piece hot wings buffalo style. Wings were well sized and pretty good! Again it just seems like everything was very fresh. Service was fantastic! I wouldn't go out of my way to come back because I'm not usually in Westminster. I went to socal wings recently for a birthday party where they lovingly catered some delicious wings for us! The store itself is very nice and cozy with lots of decor and plenty of seating. When you walk in you will be immediately drawn in by the scent of the food. Their wings are incredible! My favorite flavors were the buffalo and lemon pepper with ranch. And another big plus surprisingly were the drinks! Their thai tea and chamoy mango drink were AMAZING!!! Last but not least, the service here was one to die for. Probably my favorite wing spot. They have an extensive menu of flavors here! My favorite has to be their new Cajun garlic butter which is loaded. You really can't go wrong with any flavor here, but my favorites are definitely the honey garlic sriracha, spicy garlic parm, and th Cajun garlic butter. They've got great family deals, and while prices have gone up (like everywhere else), the flavors and quality have stayed consistently amazing. The food is always fresh and fried to perfection. I usually stick to the wings, but I also love the SoCal fries topped with boneless wings, plus their tater tots and fries are always a hit. I've tried most of the menu over the years, and everything has been delicious. Service here is always friendly and reliable. I visited SoCal Wings yesterday. It was fairly crowded when I entered in the evening. Super friendly service. Tons of different wings, so many different flavors to choose from. They also had a shrimp menu, a boba drink menu, and lots of other items that I didn't get to order. I did order a set of 15 different wings. I got five pieces of spicy lemon pepper, five pieces of the house special, and five pieces of the fish sauce wings. All of them were amazing in different ways. Very addicting to eat. Solid place to get your hot wings :) I went here with my co-worker to grab our lunch and it was poppin on a Wednesday. Their Wednesday hot wings deal is affordable and hearty. The ambiance looks like a student cafeteria, which mainly attracts the younger crowd. So fosho you'll expect greasy with a Vietnamese flare in it. I visited SoCal wings because I'm easily influenced by the Internet. I thought the wings were OK. We got the lemon pepper wings to try to see what this place was all about. A lot of the people in my party really didn't like it. But when I brought it home to my husband, he thought it was delicious! When we got in, we were the only ones in the restaurant. We ordered quickly and had to wait a little while for our wings to be cooked. Overall, I think that I would stick to Wingstop because it's much cheaper than this place. My boyfriend and I were warmly greeted by the cashier and recommended some of their more popular flavors. We decided to get the 15 piece wing meal + an order of their homemade wontons. Its been awhile since I've had socal wings, so decided to give them another try. Saturday night, Ordered online for schedule pickup 830pm. 10 piece wings half dynamite and half house special with a large honey mustard. Came by, greeted by friendly cashier, saw they got a sign about Wednesday special $1.25 wing special also. I ate the wings at home, the wings were juicy, crunchy and big. I love the house special wings, comes with jalapeño, the sauce was really good, flavorful, similar house special flavor at the Chinese restaurant. The dynamite was a dry rub, had a nice salty season with a kick, juicy and crunchy. Overall the wings were bomb! I might of found my new favorite local wing spot. My nephew ate the leftovers I brought home and he said the wings were "fire". So it shows that the food is still good even when it's leftovers lol. I normally can eat 10 wings all by myself when I'm at BWW or other place. But these wings are legit big and yummy that I was so full after eating the 5th wing. The service is nice. I didn't do anything besides giving them my order, but the smile and helpfulness was really appreciated. I came on a Wednesday when their wings are cheaper. She gave me a price comparison bc I was planning to get the family meal. But with the Wednesday deal, she showed me that the Wed deal will be better. Westminster Socal Wings is amazing. As you can see with the previous review i've been going here for over 3 years. My go to order is the 5 piece wing meal with upgraded side to a small Socal wings. Both flavors asian hot. All the flavors are amazing and to be honest better than wingstop. They've done much better with sauce on wet wings. But, tip is to ask for more sauce if you like it saucy! The cream cheese wontons are also really good. The lady who's always working who I believe is the manager. She is the best and nicest customer service worker i've met. Holy shit! I'm from Irvine where I usually split an order of 20-piece wings with my wife and then find something else to eat. So I ordered the 20-piece wings to split with my brother-in-law. The wings were so freaking huge that we had 9 wings left.....I'm a 200 pound carnivore so this tells you how big the wings were. I tried two styles, the hottest one and the house special. I HIGHLY recommend the house special. Both sauces were good but the house special had the wok-fried jalapeños which adds that beautiful wok aroma that we crave. I've never anything like it anywhere else. The chicken is cooked to perfection! I honestly wouldn't mind getting them plain with some dipping sauce on the side because the wings have this nice perfect crispiness. I believe the two people who served us were the owners since they knew everything about anything on the menu. This is another one of the few times where I'd like to come back to a place just to interact with the owners. They were very nice and offered to upgrade our medium diet cokes to any other drink that they served because they ran out of CO2. Finally got to try SoCal Wings! To me, being from SF, the prices here are not bad at all. It's $1.25 a wing. We got 10 wings and a large popcorn chicken. Came out to be about $22. Large popcorn chicken - this order was why I had to give 4/5 stars for this place. There was literally NO seasoning so no flavor whatsoever. We had to go home and mix up some sriracha and mayo. The chili dipping sauce they gave was very watery. When you have popcorn chicken, you want it to be seasoned well and good amount of spice but it's a shame there was none of those. I didn't see any seasoning shakers to pour on top either. Their menu does say add any wings sauce for 75 cents so I assume you can do that and have your popcorn chicken seasoned/coated with sauce? When I ordered, I thought it meant a side of that wings sauce to dip and I didn't think they would be bland to begin with 5 Asian hot wings - this is basically the sweet chili sauce they gave for the popcorn chicken but a lot more flavorful. It coated the wings very well, making it very flavorful. It wasn't spicy really so I don't recommend this if you want it spicy. If you're a fan of that dipping sauce, definitely get this. 5 House special wings - not really sure what sauce this is but I believe it's soy sauce based. It had jalapeños on top of the wings. I personally liked this more than the Asian Hot but it was hard to decided. Both very flavorful. Unfortunately, didn't get to try them fresh right away as we had to make a few stops before heading home so I can't comment on the crispiness. Given that they're sauced up, the crispiness probably goes away very quickly if not eaten right away. The wings were good size pieces as well. Very meaty and cooked well. Definitely coming back to try their other flavors. Old menu showed that some of their customer favorites are garlic sesame, buffalo, honey garlic sriracha, house special and more. Recently, I've had the pleasure of trying your Lemon Pepper and Spicy Lemon Pepper wings from the Carson and Hawthorne locations. These were exceptional--delicious, semi-wet, and with a noticeable black pepper seasoning. I would rate them a 10/10 for flavor and quality. (Picture 2) However, my experience with the same flavors at the Westminster location was notably different. The Lemon Pepper wings there lacked the bold flavor I experienced at other locations; they tasted more plain or sweet and were not wet at all. I would rate those a 2/10 (Picture 1). Similarly, the Spicy Lemon Pepper wings at Westminster tasted primarily like cayenne pepper and lacked the semi-wet texture I've enjoyed elsewhere. I would rate those a 3/10 (Picture 3 & 4). To confirm, I asked the cashier if the wings were prepared correctly, and she kindly assured me they were. I'd like to emphasize that the service at the Westminster location was excellent--the cashier was polite, friendly, and helpful. My feedback is solely about the inconsistency in the preparation and flavor of the wings. I would greatly appreciate insight from the corporate team regarding why the flavor profiles differ across locations.
