I went with the Iced Vietnamese Egg Coffee drink with regular sweetness. First off, you can tell that the quality of the coffee itself is high grade providing a strong coffee taste with a smooth finish. Stopped in to buy instant cappuccino mix. I asked the server if they had a larger quantity than the box, but he said that was the only size that they had. There were 3 flavors available, coconut, mocha and hazelnut. I asked him for a recommendation, but he couldn't offer any. I ended up buying 1 mocha and 1 hazelnut. I liked this upscale Vietnamese coffee shop in the Westminster area! I did a quick stop here with some friends and our experience here was pretty good. I ordered their Iced Vietnamese Egg Coffee and it was delicious! The coffee was strong and the egg cream was fluffy and tasty! Overall solid, but would've preferred if my drink was just a tad bit sweeter. Still great though and I like how it's not watered down nor too milky. A great caffeine boost for the day and pretty authentic Vietnamese coffee. The interior is fancy and they seem to have a good experience if you opt to dine in. They don't allow outside foods, but you can eat outside food at their tables and chairs outside. For parking, they share a lot in front with other businesses. We came here early in the morning, and ordered: +the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with Sea Salt Cream - aka, cà phê muối; this was strong, and there was a generous amount of sea salt cream +the Peach Orange Lemongrass Tea - this was actually pretty refreshing, considering that this was an impulse order! The only gripe was that because these drinks were requested to be with light ice, the cups were literally filled 55%-60% of the way - such a huge peeve of mine, as it shows the 'cheapness' and the fact that they bank on the large amount of ice to make it look like a 'full drink'. So when I heard they have a Trung Nguyen Legend coffee shop, I had to give them a try to see how it compares to their G7 Instant Coffee. There is plenty of parking here. Didn't know what to expect, but the inside is pretty nice. I like the Coffee decors and their many displays, very cool. Shop is very clean and bright. Nice coffee joint to hang out with friends. Staffs were helpful and friendly. Service was quick. We ordered the followings: - Peach Orange Lemongrass Tea with Chia Seeds - Càfê Sữa Đá (Legend Iced Coffee with Condensed Milk) The Peach Orange Lemongrass Tea with Chia Seeds was very refreshing. We ordered at 100% (normal) sweet level. Was excellent. The Legend Iced Coffee was very good. I ordered this with the Filter Setup, where you wait for the coffee to drip thru before adding it to the glass with ices and adding the condensed milk. The sweet level was perfect. The coffee was a little strong, but I liked it. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though the coffee here was good, I still prefer the Trung Nguyen G7 Instant Coffee much better. Tried out Trung Nguyen after lunch in the area. It's a inconspicuous cafe in a older shopping center. Looks like your neighborhood Cafe with lots of interesting this. Of course, I expected a bold and aromatic Vietnamese coffee, so I ordered the Legend Coffee, which is their Vietnamese drip. And honestly, this cup was strong in a good way. It had that familiar Vietnamese coffee aroma, and with condensed milk and sugar added, it tasted exactly like what you'd expect. Even without sugar, it was super super super strong and satisfying. I also got a matcha oat milk. It was okay -- good enough, nothing special, but it passed. The avocado coffee was alright too. It was a bit too sweet because I forgot to mention the sweetness. I do wish they added more avocado, though. The staff seemed quiet and focused, doing their job carefully, which was nice. Trung Nguyen is a big brand in Vietnam and their drinks from both this and the Santa Ana locations are delicious and consistently yummy. The service is also great at this location. My friends told me that Trung Nguyen Legend is a very famous chain in Vietnam, but I don't recall ever seeing it while I was there (but maybe I wasn't looking for it). Anyway, I was curious to try it here since it's known for strong coffee, and we needed the caffeine boost for a big, long weekend trip to Arrowhead. And boy, oh boy, it really is strong. I got the Iced Trung Nguyen Coffee Creative 1 with condensed milk, and my body went into crazy overdrive. I was wired for the entire day (10 hours!!!). I was not okay. But it was sooooooo delicious!! My friend goes regularly and she got her usual, Pandan Latte with Coffee Jelly. We also got Creative 3 and 4 for my friends and those were much more palatable. Their "Creative" series is pretty confusing. No flavor notes or descriptions on the menu, just numbers. I asked the barista, but the explanation was super vague. Essentially, higher numbers indicate that it was less strong (not super intuitive to me tbh). And I did not find it super helpful if you're looking for flavor profiles or nuances. Also, Coffee Legend and Creative 8 are dine-in only. Don't know why but I think it's because it comes with other stuff (?). Their drink menu is extensive, with the traditional phin coffees, house coffee classics, blended drinks, and creativity coffees (egg coffee, pandan latte, coffee with ginger or coconut cream, etc). That said, the flavor was great: rich, bold Vietnamese phin coffee. The price is nearly double that of other Vietnamese coffee places where you can pay $3.50/$4 cash for an iced coffee. If you like strong coffee, you'll enjoy it. Just not for me. They also offer food options. We tried the ham and cheese croissant. It was heated up, but it was alright. The pandan waffles were $5.50, which felt a bit steep, and the other croissants didn't look especially flaky or impressive either. The interior is clean, black and white with gold and wood accents. I feel like this style is tacky and overdone (but I usually dislike Vietnamese-style gold-heavy decor). They also sell a lot of merch and products (phin filters, beans, etc). I came around 3:45 PM on a Friday and there was no line. It was pretty empty inside but there's a lot of seating with natural sunlight coming in through the windows, so it seems like a really nice place to study. The workers were really helpful in explaining the different options on their menu and asked us to let them know if we needed any modifications to our drinks after receiving them. The interior is unique and beautiful. I love that the light fixtures have the Vietnamese farmer hat hanging from it. I'm not a huge coffee drinker so I ordered the Blended Iced Matcha since they were sold out of their banana matcha latte :( The drink tasted like a matcha frappe from Starbucks since it was quite sweet and had whipped cream at the top. It was smooth and not icy, which I initially expected. The matcha is not strong but that's okay since this place is known for their coffee and not for their matcha lol. I heard from a relative that this coffee shop from Vietnam was popular and is a must try. This company originated in 1996 in Vietnam and is Located in a strip mall corner parking where there was no issue locating parking, since it was a weekday. I opted for the coconut ice coffee which was not overly coconutty and was flavored to perfectness. I also opted for the sea salt coffees to go and just added ice the next day which also tasted superb. Service was friendly and prompt.
