I never felt there were any shenanigans occurring. Thanks to the finance guy (apologies for not getting your name) for walking me through a question I had. The service around that buying experience was great, particularly with the salesman (Less Morgan). I came in half an hour before closing and the team stayed late to complete the purchase without time pressure. We agreed the dealer would owe body work. The manager (Robert?) provided a loaner vehicle during the duration of that repair, which was appreciated. Less was great at communicating throughout the repair, and got Service to quickly address a concern I had the same day the vehicle was back from the body work despite a packed appointment schedule.

BUYERS BEWARE! DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICE!!…read more I had a very disappointing experience with this dealership today. Earlier in the morning, I was texting with Nikki Aryabi about a vehicle she sent me. I specifically asked if the vehicle was a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle. She confirmed that it was, even though the Carfax report showed otherwise. Based on that confirmation, I still decided to make the trip to the dealership. When I arrived, we agreed on a price for the vehicle. Her manager, Robert Graves, then came over to finalize the sale and verbally agreed that they would certify the vehicle as CPO. I was told the certification process would take about 1-2 hours. However, when they brought the paperwork for me to sign, it clearly stated that I would be purchasing the car "as-is," which would mean no CPO warranty at all. I refused to sign it because that was not what we agreed to. They then told me that they would get the vehicle ready and that I could come back later just to sign the paperwork once everything was completed. Instead, they essentially wasted my time and attempted to get me to sign paperwork that contradicted what had been promised. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I expected better from a dealership of this size and reputation. Fortunately, I have screenshots of the entire text conversation confirming the CPO discussion, as well as photos of the paperwork they attempted to have me sign. Buyers beware and make sure to read everything carefully before signing anything.

Sometimes mistakes happen, and customers need to understand everyone is human…read more But when a multitude of mistakes happen, it becomes a sign of something bigger being wrong. That's the issue w/ Koons Ford Falls Church. Our '25 Bronco w/ 2k miles was due for 2 recalls and an oil change (due to time). I would normally have gone to Ted Britt Fairfax, but Koons offers a free pickup/dropoff service that was too convenient to pass up. I sign up for a service appointment and request valet pickup/dropoff. It's important to note, I live on Frederick St SW in Vienna. They pick up the car roughly a half hour late. No biggie. I get a text from the service advisor confirming the work to be done -- oil change, tire rotation, recalls. This is at roughly 11am. 4pm, I get a call from a different service advisor asking why I missed my appointment. Turns out, they didn't realize they had my car for 5 hours. I confirm with him that all they are doing is an oil change, tire rotation, and the 2 open recalls. He said yes, they are in the process of replacing my backup camera. Woah woah woah. Although there is an open Ford recall on backup cameras, my year/VIN is not affected. My car's backup camera is fine. He goes quiet, and says he'll "be right back." He comes back and apologizes, and says yes, they will do the oil change, tire rotation, and the *correct* recalls. That night, I get notified from Koons that they "completed the state inspection I requested" and recommend a $180 wheel alignment. First off, the car has 1800 miles and is a year old. It absolutely does not need an alignment. Second off, our inspection was valid until August and it's June. I didn't ask for or approve a state inspection. Third, I had just removed the sticker since we're moving to Florida and they don't need inspection stickers, and now I'll need to take it off again. My service advisor calls me the next morning, saying he assumed I wanted an inspection 'since I was due.' There's no feasible way the car was due, since it was manufactured in August of '25 and it's June 2026. I talk with a different service advisor the following morning, who is apologetic and says they won't charge me for the inspection, says everything was completed, and says the car will be on its way back to me. I get a call that my car was dropped off. I walk outside my house, and see no car. I'm talking with the valet on the phone, and he says "yeah, I dropped it off at S Frederick St in Arlington." It took all my willpower to not yell "that is not the same thing as Frederick St SW in Vienna!" He said oh, your service advisor gave me the wrong address. Okay, so, first they didn't realize they had my car; second, they were about to do the wrong recall work on it. Third, they did work that WAS NOT AUTHORIZED. Fourth, they recommended work that was not needed and was a complete scam. Fifth, they DROPPED THE CAR OFF IN THE WRONG CITY.

Although it passed Virginia State Inspection it did not pass Maryland State Inspection, which is where the car is registered. The dealership offered to pay for half of the costs to repair the car, which was nice of them. I put the car into the shop on May 12th. However, it took the dealership until June 14th to send out the check. Once I deposited the check, it voided because of something on the dealership's end. So it wasn't until a week later that I was actually able to deposit the check. Apparently even though the general manager Pete told me that the check was shipped out, someone on the finance team never actually sent it. Throughout all of this, I come to find out that my title had not been sent to the bank that I was financing through. I was first alerted on June 11th that I needed to show my bank the title or they would raise my rates. It took until August 12th to receive my title in the mail and be able to email my bank. It was almost impossible to reach anyone at the dealership also. I had called the general manager 6 times, emailed the used car manager twice, and called the sales manager 3 times. I only heard back on two occasions. I live almost 2 hours away and it was difficult to make it down to the dealership to ask them what was the issue getting my problems solved in a timely fashion. I had brought up the idea of having my mother and girlfriend buy cars at this dealership, but there is no way I would ever have anyone that I know buy a vehicle from this location anymore.

1 star and that's being generous…read more My husband and I purchased a used 2019 Chevy Suburban from this dealership and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Within a very short time, it became obvious the transmission was failing hard shifting, slipping, warning signs that don't just appear overnight. What's most frustrating is that this feels conveniently undisclosed. There is no way a dealership "inspects" a vehicle and misses such a major issue, especially one this serious and expensive. It's hard not to believe this problem was known and intentionally hidden just to make the sale. We know that it was intentional because whoever they had make the makeshift repairs to seal the deal, left a used rag in the transmission pan. Yes, you read that correctly, they left a rag in the transmission pan that they'll surely claim they knew nothing about. A transmission repair on a vehicle like this is thousands of dollars, and buyers should not be left holding the bag because a dealership chose profit over honesty. We thankfully had a warranty through our credit union and was able to get the vehicle repaired. We have already drafted a letter to the credit union that they need to be removed from the trusted sellers list. If you're considering buying from here, get an independent inspection first or better yet, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else. I regret trusting this dealership and would never recommend them.

That meant I was looking for something pricier, and I wanted to choose well. I settled on a particular make and model and found it with low mileage and a good price at DMV Auto Group. That's when I called Sam and Rashid. They were communicative, friendly and even to a nervous, skeptical shopper like me -- I found them to be very trustworthy. As we entered the purchase process, I had an independent mechanic of my choice look at the car. That mechanic called me and said he found a few minor blemishes, but Sam took care of those right away for me at no cost at all. Even after I've paid for the vehicle, Sam continued to help me. He let me leave my old vehicle on his lot for a short time, connected me with a trusted mechanic in the area and helped me navigate car insurance companies. Clearly, Sam and Rashid aren't just in the business to make a profit -- they seem to find personal satisfaction in helping their customers. I will be recommending DMV Auto Group to my friends in the area.
