Had an "appt" at 11 am today with Salesmen "Jose" to look at Eccosport SE. Called him at 4pm yesterday to confirm that they indeed had those models on the lot for us to see. He said he would go check on the lot and call us back - which he did. He stated they had 5 Eccosports - 2 of which were the SE model that we were interested in. We were told - "See you at 11am tomorrow!" Drove 45 minutes to get to the dealer, walked in and were told that "Jose" had the day off and there were no models that we were interested in at that location. Customer Service - I think not! Either completely avoid this dealership or proceed with great caution. Customer service is clearly not a priority to these salesmen. I had two horrible interactions with two separate salesmen. The car salesman Syed Hussain started our interaction by low-balling my trade in by about 4K then told me I would never get the price I was asking for, for my car (2016 Mustang Ecoboost Premium). He had very little knowledge about the car and couldn't seem to decipher between a base and premium model (there's a difference). On their website they advertise a "free at home test drive". Syed said he would set that up and to check back in on Monday, I did just that and he told me he sold the car the day before, was never notified, guess money talks the most with these guys. The buyer's financing fell through and he came back to me trying to get me in this car. After dealing with Syed for too long, I demanded a different salesman. Rick Altunkaya took over. After a short test drive, I had a few questions about some possible faults in the car. Rick became frustrated, irritated, and impatient with my questions very quickly. After answering question one, Rick proceeded to close the interaction by saying "are you ready to buy the car or not?!" This was a horrible experience all together. It's clear to see that these car salesmen are not trained to work with patience. Car buying is a stressful process and this dealership only showed they're in it for themselves and not for their customers! They missed out on a low mile, great condition Mustang trade in and a purchase of one of their own. I'll never be returning and won't be referring anyone to them either. read more

I have a Ford F150 where is my work truck and I use it when I'm doing business when I'm home. I was going on vacation so I had my buddy take the truck to Coons Ford and Sterling gave him four items to do. One of them was make the backup camera work, they said it was an aftermarket camera and they don't work on that. They wanted $65 to fix a slow leak in the tire I asked them to turn off the automatic stop when you come to a stop light they said they don't do that, all four things that I asked them toTo do they said they don't do that the last thing was I wanted to change out where I plug my trailers into and they said it was fine I didn't ask him if it was fine I asked him to replace it because my trailers don't work with that read more

THE SERVICE HERE IS RIDICULOUSLY HORRIBLE!!!! 2+ weeks ago I received a call about an added bonus to trade my 2014 Focus in since it has been having major transmission problems. Went to the dealership to speak with someone who was great (JC) After speaking with him we needed to speak with someone in Financing. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday when we went in and banks were closed. Was told we would receive a call the next day with an update. NEVER received a call back from financing. Fast forward to this weekend. Car over heats with only 31,000 miles. Gentleman at the dealership gave me a number to call to have their towing service tow the car to the dealership and was told I would once again receive a call Monday with a status on the car and a possible loaner. I have been calling the dealership ALL morning, left multiple message and even spoke with someone in corporate. STILL NOTHING!!! haven't talked to a single person from the dealership or someone who was able to help me with the car situation. Side note. Needed to get a rental car because this dealership has a 2 WEEK WAIT FOR LOANERS!! WTF?! So your telling me, you sold me a POS car which broke down on me way to early and now I have to pay for a rental because you apparently do not have one?!?! INFURIATING!!!! Anyways, got the rental car for a couple days and I need to return it today and have no idea the status of my car or a loaner. Should I extend the rental?! I HAVE NO F-ING IDEA!!!! Cliche as it may sound the ability to give 0 Stars upsets me. I've been trying to make a service appointment for my truck for 4 days in a row I have called I've left messages with every service manager I've left messages with the service appointment maker. No response no call backs no nothing. The only ray of light in this equation is Heidi who answers the phones at the front desk she has tried and tried and tried to help me but to no avail. She even once watched a service manager stand by his phone when she transferred me over and he sat there did not answer it and let it go to voicemail. As a final coup de gras she forwarded me to her manager who, of course, let it go to voicemail. At this point I don't even expect a response. Good luck to all who go here. Came here from New England to buy a 2019 F150 King Ranch that I saw on line. Much of the conversation was over text and I was taken serious at every point by the salesman. Arrived, and the vehicle was exactly as promised. Traded in my vehicle (smooth), met with F&I guy (smooth), went over the vehicle and how the tech worked (smooth) ... Kept waiting for a shoe to drop and it never came. It couldn't have been easier. When I'm ready to replace or in need of another Ford truck, I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

I have to applaud Koons for working to make things right. I had previously posted about a broken key fob, an unfulfilled promise to send another and having to replace all 4 tires on a newly acquired vehicle. Two people from the dealership contacted me the next day. They were both very apologetic and one took personal responsibility for providing me with new key fobs and reimbursement for my tires. A lot of companies make mistakes or fall short of expectations, the truly good ones recognize their failures and work to correct them. Koons definitely falls in the latter category. read more

I review many business interests and 70% are top (5) rated. My recent experience at Koons validated their many poor ratings and very average "3" overall rating from over 100 customers. Consumers should be prepared to pay $50.00 for tire plug to stop a leak in a tire that Koons sold me only 6,000 miles ago. They added $34.00 to rotate four tires, for a total of $84.00. My guess is the service department is under pressure to generate income. Don't worry about "Doing the right thing" and Don't expect customer satisfaction or "Comp" action on two tires koons originally sold, with only 6,000 miles since new; This business will find a way to charge you even after I drove 64 miles roundtrip to return to the tire seller (Koons). I will never return, but will do business with Lanham Ford, where I purchased the car new in 2016. read more

My experience at the Koons Ford, Sterling, VA location gets 5 stars from me--excellent job! The person who helped me was Mr. Stephen "Steve" Arnold. Steve is honest--something that is lacking, not only in the car business, but most businesses. Steve kept his word! All of Steve's representations came to fruition--Steve performed as promised to procure delivery of a brand new 2020 Ford F-150 Platinum 4X4 pick-Up in California -- delivery was included in the out-the-door price and, delivery was early! I couldn't believe it! Over the years I have purchased new, at least, (20) twenty vehicles consisting of (1) Mercedes Benz 600, (6) Cadillac, (1) Lexus LS460L, (8) Chevrolet trucks, (1) GMC Truck, (2) Ford F150 Platinum 4x4 trucks, and (1) GMC Yukon. The transaction with Steve was pleasant, & easy; Steve answered all of my questions by email, text or phone--Steve was never too busy to help me!! I work in the legal field, I have questions!! Seems like there are a ton of bad reviews on here so they don't seem to be reading and learning anything. I worked with a service advisor by the name of Mike when I took my car in for my "120,000 mile" service where they did the manufacturer recommended maintenance and it cost me about $100. No big deal...I later discover that they never replaced the cap for the power steering fluid reservoir and it was just sitting open. Possibly damaging my whole power steering system with contaminated fluid. So I called the service department when I discovered the cap was missing to see if they had it or could replace it, i spoke to Mike and he told me that all they did was an oil change and tire rotation...what...$100 for an oil change and tire rotation? Those are included in the service but were certainly not the extent of it. Either I got scammed or Mike is an idiot and lied to me, and way after he told me that he told me to hold on and I was placed on hold several times to the point that their phone system kept recycling me through to the automated switchboard. After being recycled through the call system 3 times a girl took my phone number and told me that Mike would call me back. Never heard from him. Not surprised, I hope the consumers of Loudoun/Fairfax Co. read this and point their headlights elsewhere. As for the Koons people, I hope you read this (though I know you won't and even if you did you wouldn't do anything about it) and make some changes with the level of service you offer in your service department and enforce some accountability in your service advisors for taking responsibility for their mistakes and following up with customer service concerns. Based on his comments, it seems like Koons take these reviews seriously. We're glad they're listening and hope that things would change for the better. After having a few issues with my Car, I was extremely impressed with how this Ford dealership, Koons Ford Sterling, took the time and care to address the issues I was having. The manager John Bolling shows professionalism and the ability to deal with chaotic situation with poise and respect for his staff and Ford customers. The service department takes a hands on approach to address each and every need that customers present them, even on short notice. I was even told that my car is working like a charm now, and even if something else comes up in the future it js comforting to know that Ford Koons Sterling has my back. Some dealerships and auto shops would never try and address the independent needs of a customer, even one that is relatively young, the way Koons Sterling did. I have tried to go to other dealerships and auto shops and I always get a vibe of feeling uncomfortable, but no longer here! Thanks so much for giving me my baby back in better condition then it was when I dropped it off. Also, I run a small fleet of vehicles for different purposes, and if you are into the Gig economy and a car is a necessity, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying a Ford C-Max while you still can. The thing gets 40+ mpg, and makes my 6'3 ogre sized body feel like I am in a much larger car. The best part as I look to expand my fleet Koons Sterling seems to allay have what I am interested in stock. And for my Millennials who are unsure about making the leap into car ownership, I would talk to John B. Because he is a beast with his car knowledge and customer service. Customer service is abysmal. Purchased a vehicle online. Every time someone said they'd call us back, they never did. Nobody ever had any answers. Paperwork wasn't sent on time, and when it was finally sent, the numbers were wrong, forcing them to do it all over again. The whole process took over three weeks. Car also arrived with a small dent in the hood. The price is nice, but certainly not worth the aggravation. The topper was they demanded to do our out-of-state tags. The vehicle arrived without the proper plates or registration. Lastly, we paid Koons more than what the registry charged them, and then they kept the overage for 2 months. I always get my vehicles from John Chin because he is very transparent . Sales staff goes the extra mile and polite. Waiting room is clean with wifi. No pressure tactics and communication is simple online, email, text. Trade in is simple but if you want top dollar for your trade in, go to car max and then bring your offer from car max and they honor it. The reason for 3 stars is due to their service department. The last time I was there the advisor was actually furious I had an appointment right before a Holiday and I thought he was going to go postal. Then the advisor tells me he might not be able to get my vehicle today. I offered to bring it in later but then the guy tells me a week and I said "No" and he just got up and walked away. A new advisor checked me out and she was very nice and apologized. I simply made myself clear. If people don't bring there car her for service, then that guy would be out of job so perhaps he should be polite to customers. I followed with my experience with the survey Koons sends out after a visit, 2nd time I have had an issue with this service department. I have to bring in the vehicles this August for regular scheduled maintenance. If I have a 3rd issue, as much as I like doing business with John, I will purchase my next set of vehicles somewhere else . read more

Mundane questions like - when can I bring my truck in to have the scratches fixed from the We Owe? - When will you pay off the vehicle I traded in? Like an idiot, I went to get my car serviced here without reading the reviews. I made an appointment, arrived 15 minutes early, was told an hour, took almost 3. I had a $25 gift certificate they had mailed me (since I had purchased a car from them last year). Oil change and state inspection (even after they took the $25 gift certificate off) was $35. I was not a happy camper. It wasn't the price I was quoted, it didn't take the allotted time I was quoted and overall I felt ripped off. In the end, read the reviews. They gave us a pretty good deal on the truck we bought from them last year but car dealerships are a dime a dozen around here. If they don't live up to service expectations then who cares about the price for the car? Another dealership down the road can probably give you the same car for the same price anyway. read more

I bought my 2008 Escape here brand new and had 5+ years of being a happy & loyal service customer. Then things went terribly wrong... Strike one: Last summer (2014) I made an appointment for an oil change & safety inspection for noon. Picked up a sub on the way, and spent my lunch hour in the lounge. At 12:50, I went to see how much longer since I had to get back to work. I was told they had JUST taken my Escape back. WHAT?!? I told them to just bring it back, I have to go and don't have time to wait. They said there was a mechanics meeting @noon. No explanation on why they took a noon appointment if none of the mechanics were working then. They (Joey) did his best to make it right by offering a free oil change & inspection for later that week. Humph...mkay. Strike two: Had a 10am appt on a fall Saturday that I had scheduled directly with the Service dept and NOT the main appointment line. I arrived just before 10 to a line of vehicles backed up to the main road. A very flustered runner was gruff and said it would be a 3 to 3-1/2 hour wait. I said I had an appointment with a specific service writer. He said "Well, you'd better go talk to her then." I was in a pinch due to an upcoming road trip so chose to wait over 4 hours to get just the minimum necessary work done (not everything I wanted done). No apologies, no discount, no sh*t. Just the opposite...they tried to upsell even MORE work at inflated prices. Strike three: December 2014, needed another oil change & tire rotation. Had an appointment for 7:30am (at this point, at least I knew an appointment meant nothing). Found out after arriving the mechanics don't start work until 8am. Murph. I had a doctor's appointment for later and specifically asked how long this would take. I was assured I'd be out by 9am. At 9:30, I was still waiting. 10am, still waiting. 10:15am, finally got my Escape back. I think it was all the VERY LOUD complaining that made them hurry me out of there. I won't be going back. Had my most recent service done at a Ford dealer in West Virginia...where people are nice and customer service isn't a lie. read more

We have purchased 5 new vehicles total from Ricky Rivera. He has always been very helpful and overall had a great experience. We even flew a family member up from Alabama to purchase a new car from Ricky because we are so grateful to his honest and helpful service. If it were up to just the new car sales and Ricky, it would be 5/5 stars...but unfortunately it's not. The service department is absolutely horrible! I wish I could stress how frustrated I am with their department but the words that would come out would probably not be "YELP" appropriate. Long story short, my brand new ford fusion was one of the several recalled car parts having to do with the air bag. At the end of July, I brought it in due to all the lights on the dash (had not even had it a year) and was told it would just be a few hours tops to "run for codes". I sat for 7 hours in the waiting room all to find out from the guy who eventually came and told me what was wrong, that they JUST took my car back. After that being already frustrating, I was told the part was going to be ordered and here we are almost 3 months later and no part... or so I thought. I had been calling for weeks checking the status and every time I talked to someone, they either sounded like they had NO idea what was going on or they put me on hold for 15 minutes and come back to just tell me it's not in. Finally I called last night to find out the status, as driving for a brand new vehicle and paying what I do for a new vehicle- is very frustrating to have a constant service issue. When I finally got through to the service department, I was told that the part was in and "had been in". This made me super frustrated that I asked for a manager. Do you not call someone 3 months after a car has an open service order on it and the part arrives? It makes no sense that 7 days ago, no one could even find me service order and now this guy tells me it has been in. I will say, the new services manager called me today personally and I was very pleased with our conversation. He did offer assistance to get this expedited as fast as he could for me and apologized again. Although I really did appreciate his assistance, it has opened my eyes to how discombobulated the department is as a whole. We drive from Maryland just to come to Koons Sterling but in the future, I do NOT feel confident to buy another car from this location due to the fact that I worry whether my vehicle will be covered in a timely and professional manner which is very unfortunate. Again- sales wise, I had NEVER had a bad experience. We have purchased 2 fusion hybrids, a regular Fusion, a F150 and a Focus all from Ricky Rivera. So if you need someone from sales and want to risk having to bring your vehicle in for service, ask for him! read more

Will update to possibly 5 stars once service department addresses my concerns regarding my New 2017 Mustang GT350 on 10/31/2017. I was debating between staying local and buying from Apple Ford in MD or making the trip down to Sterling, VA. Unlike Apple Ford, Greg Williams with Koons Sterling Ford was willing to go over some basic numbers over e-mail. This motivated me to go ahead and make the trip. Sales: Upon arriving, Greg was very patient with me as I began to flip flop between vehicles. He even took the time to move the vehicles next to each other to assist me in my decision. I finally agreed upon the car and began the buying process. Overall, Greg was outstanding. No complaints whatsoever. I did not schedule an appointment, so another client of Greg's showed up in the latter portion of my buying process, but Greg meticulously juggled both of us around the process so that neither one of us were waiting on him. Finance: If you read my reviews, you'll notice I buy cars a little too much, so I'm used to the finance managers and what a fun process this can be. Unfortunately, this one did not seem to be like the others. Once I refused the aftermarket offers, he was very quick, but in a rude manner. Barely took any time explaining the documents I was signing, and if I asked a question, he was a bit snappy. Not the kind of service I would expect for someone who is wasting that much money. But, since everyone dreads this portion anyway, I won't let this impact my review. Finishing Up: Back to Greg, the reason this review will ultimately receive 5 stars if the service department fixes my issues (I'll address below). After finance, Greg took the time to sit in the car with me and explain all the different settings and connect my phone to the car. Thank you Greg! Service Department: Unfortunately, driving home, I noticed a wind noise of sorts coming from the driver's side dash if I go above 60mph. There is also a noticeable rattle if I'm driving at a slow rate of speed across the whole dash. Greg referred me to Allen in the service department. I'll be dropping the car off on 10/31/2017. Will update review after I get my car back. Overall, I am very pleased with this dealership thus far and will likely return in the near future to lease another car (as my daily). I'll obviously hope not to get the same finance manager and buy a car that does not rattle. read more

Can't speak to the service received when purchasing a vehicle here, but had about the worst possible scenario when brining my explorer in for service. After paying, an employee smashed my car into another while bringing around for me to leave. Picked up my car today (3+ weeks later). Would have thought the service manager would want to be there to ensure I was pleased with the repair. Nope. After we were handed the keys to find the car on the lot, we returned and asked to have them bring it around. Vehicle was brought around dripping wet from sitting in the rain. Impossible to gauge body work repair. Driving home, car is pulling to the right. Alignment is off. Overall unimpressed with the lack of care, concern, or ownership shown here for ensuring the satisfaction of their customers. read more

In this dealer I have a really bad experience be carful when you buy a car. I won't give you what the do to me

I do NOT recommend their concierge service at all. My car was supposed to be picked up for service at 8:30am and it was not picked up until 10:00. I called at 9, asking what the status was on the pickup and they said within the hour. Then at 4:00, I received an email saying my car was done and I received the invoice link and then after that I received the text saying "Koons Sterling Ford: hey there, pay that link and i am gonna send your way." I paid the invoice immediately and then waited for my car. I finally called at 5:15, and once I connected to someone and asked about the status, my call was "mysteriously" dropped. I called back and no one answered. I called a third time and finally connected with someone at 5:30 and they told me my car was still at the shop and hadn't gone out for delivery. My car did not arrive until after 6:00 pm. And there was NO active communication at all. They tried to tell me "this is why we say there is an hour to two hour window" but of course that was never communicated to me, and worse, at 4:00, I was lead to believe my car was on the way. Absolutely terrible excuse for service. I'm blown away by the complete lack of communication regarding the extreme vehicle pickup and delivery times. read more

I had bought from Koons previously- Tysons Toyota. Koons Ford is superior. Simple as that. My husband and I bought a Mustang from Yannick Ersting- it was a custom order. Yannick was on point in every sense- from the beginning to end. R is a star. The Mustang- on delivery- was cleaned from top to bottom so my husband drove perfection off the lot, he explained our warranty, the service, etc very well, and sat with my husband to install all the apps so his display would work with ease. That time showed the level of care he brings to his sales. He has since followed up with us to make sure we love the vehicle and if we have any questions and are completely satisfied if not over the moon- we are. I think the best compliment we can give Yannick is that we will buy our next vehicle through him- a Jeep Wrangler, in the next year. Great dealership, great follow up, ease in special ordering. That we got our Mustang on time even through the Mustang plant was shut down for a week! Every spec is RIGHT! Quick shout out to the parts department- I bought the mats and a shirt. Agree with others about the arrogance. Had to wait 2 hours just to find/make a key for the car we wanted to drive after sending a note the night before, the morning before and 45 minutes before we came. Still had to sit 2 hours before we could drive the car. Then the sales rep (who did tell us up front about the $799 processing fee) seemed offended when I offered a lower price after we waited so long. The only consolation offered for our wait was a free tank of gas. I'm not paying 15% of the price of the car on a "processing fee." Won't go back. Also sales rep dropping F-bombs does not impress me. read more

After reaching out to Ford Client Relations to share my concerns while at the same time discussing the issues with Matt the Sales Manager and working with Markus my car salesman, I'm happy to report all the issues have completely and comprehensively been addressed exceeding my expectations! They did everything in their power to make me happy and make the deal right Not only did Matt keep his promises, he did what few do when a customer is screaming and visibly upset.... he actually "listened", "owned the problems" and "set expectations to solve the problem". That is the absolute most important to me. Markus although new to the car business, learned how to respond to my needs and worked around my schedule thereby reducing my stress and anxiety which created a positive experience for me. He kept in the loop during every phase of the issue remediation and was happy to call me when my vehicle was ready to be picked up. Often times, we as customers get a lot of lip service from a business after a sale such as: * "I want to understand your concerns" * "I will resolve your issues" * "You're my number one priority" * "You matter to me" Matt and Markus demonstrated with actions their commitment to me as "a customer "and "a person" that I mattered as well as my experience with Koon's. I bought a $100,000 Ford F-150 Black Ops from them and it has been a lemon since I drove it off the lot. First, the drivers side tail pipe has been peeling the powder coating off the exhaust tip since I bought it. I took it in last April and asked them to address the tail pipe, look at the transmission, which has been slipping since I bought it and also to look at the 4-wheel drive, which has been making some clanging sounds when engaged. I left to go on a Cruise and was optimistic my truck would be done when I went back to pick it up. I was gone for 7 days. I returned to find my truck had never been touched and the battery dead, which I ended up having to replace. This was April 2022 and my truck is a July 2019. That tells me, whomever was dealing with it had left accessories on during my absence. When I went to the service department, the associate told me he didn't remember me telling him what needed to be done on the truck, which is why they didn't touch it in over a week. Just simply incompetent. I would not use this dealership again or any of the other Ford dealerships in the NCR. They are rip offs, once they sell you the vehicle, they no longer care. It is about making money at you expense. This is my third custom truck since 2014 and none of the dealerships have stood behind their product, not Ted Britt Chantilly or Richmond Ford. When you pay upward of $100,000 for a vehicle you expect better from those that sold it to you. I still, to this day have chrome showing through on the exhaust tip from the powder coating peeling off. Find a dealership outside the NCR to buy your vehicle. This was the third dealership we visited to buy a new SUV. The first attempt we bailed on because we didn't like the vehicle and the sales guy. The second attempt was due to the dealership sales tactics. This was going to be it for us, we hoped. We worked with Jason R. when we came to look at a vehicle and ultimately he helped us to buy our new Explorer The main reasons I would highly recommend this team: 1. They are professionals. They were courteous and respectful throughout the process. 2. We didn't feel pressured at any point in time. 3. The particular vehicle we wanted was sold the evening before, and Jason and the floor manager did everything they could to get us exactly what we wanted at a very fair price. It meant waiting a couple of days, but they offered us a brand new loaner so that we could complete the trade-in of my car that day. 4. Their pricing was exceptional. Having already been through this process twice and then not moving forward at other dealerships, we had a pretty good idea what we could get for our trade-in and the other associated fees with buying a new ride. They did not low-ball us and we felt the offer was so fair that we didn't even feel the need to negotiate, which is how it should be. Ethan is honest, professional and respectful. He doesn't try to burden or pressure you into buying a car like other dealers do. He'll gladly answer any questions you have. He was very patient with me over the span of two weeks prior to finally purchasing the car as I decided to check out other dealerships. He's easy to reach and is quick at responding. The car buying process itself in America may be flawed but with enough research, negotiation, and patience you can end up with a great deal on a great car. In my case, I purchased an F-150 from Koon's after twelve hours and three dealerships. It sounds like a lot of work and heartache but in the end I absolutely love my truck and feel confident and comfortable in the price I ended up paying. I was looking for something with better gas mileage and decided last week to trade my '11 Ford Escape in for a '15 Ford Focus. Before deciding on Koons, we had called a few other Ford dealerships to see what kind of offers they had. Long story short, Yannick was the last sales rep we got in touch with via phone - he was knowledgeable about the vehicle I was interested in and he was very upfront about his ability to get me in the vehicle I wanted, at the price I wanted to pay - we decided we were most comfortable going to Koons after speaking with Yannick. The next day at the dealership I met Yannick (who came in on his day off to accommodate my schedule) and test drove the Focus. We spent the next few hours coming to an agreement on the value of my trade in and price of the new vehicle. When all was said and done, Yannick and his sales manager were able to get me into the vehicle at my desired monthly payment. The entire process was a stark contrast to my previous experiences with car dealers. Yannick never pressured me and I felt he genuinely cared about me leaving the lot feeling good about my purchase and the price I paid. I will recommend him to all of my family, friends, and colleagues in the local area. I wanted to give one final plug to Mike Palmer in the finance department, such a stand up guy - he closed the deal at the end of the night, really appreciated working with him too. Ok, as I write this, keep in mind this is MY experience, your bad experience is not my concern. I just had my first oil change and once-over since I purchased my 2014 Mustang Shelby. I dealt with Linda to setup the original appointment and Allen today to take the car in. From the moment I walked into the Service Center Allen informed me on all they were going to do. I explained that they could have the car all day and just take me home in their Courtesy vehicle. After they took my keys approximately 15 minutes later Allen told me that if I could wait they could complete all my service points and give the car back; the total wait time was 1 hour and 40 minutes. This also included the Body Shop coming over to look at two bizarre scratches. To be completely upfront, I did purchase the Premium Maintenance plan that is extremely comprehensive...even oil changes! Whether this had something to do with my quick appointment is of no consequence to me because this is/was my experience. Maybe I just got lucky, but for now, I'm sticking with them! read more

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALER!! - I purchased a brand new Ford Edge in 2012. After 3 years of dealing with an electrical issue they have been unable to help me. I have been back to this dealer 4-5 times for this problem and have had to have it towed to the dealer all 5 times! Once when I took my car in for an oil change, it came back with a ripped up bumper and a missing tail light. The service department proceed to tell me that it must have come in that way or it happened in the parking lot. After multiple phone calls and multiple weeks they finally fixed my car!!! The service department continually lies to me. When I ask to speak with the General Manager, Steve Brown (703-430-7700 ext 1037), they did not know if he was available. They are of little help as to what options I have. Yesterday when I asked to speak with the dealer manager I was told they would see if he was still there. When I went out to the sales floor and asked, the Sales Manager, lied directly to my face and told me the general manager had left for the day. After walking around the floor I finally found the General Manager who was sitting just on the other side of the floor. The General Manager was of little help, and told me I had to deal with Ford directly. GEE, THANKS FOR THE HELP AFTER I SPENT $40,000 ON A CAR FROM YOUR STORE!!!! They then proceeded to give me a loaner car until they can figure out what is wrong with mine. They acted like this was a big deal for them. Did I forget to mention that I paid for the extended service plan when I purchase the vehicle and loaners are part of the deal!!!!! When I got in the car it had less than a 1/4 tank of gas! Very nice as it cost me $30 to take a cab to work that morning when my car would not start! When I drove back to the dealer to complain the General Manager graciously told me he could give me a voucher for the gas and I could go pump it myself!!!!!!! This 2014 Focus hatchback was our family's third car from Jonathan and Koons Sterling. What brought us back was the how we were treated. Jonathan is honest, respectful and affable. A combo I've not found to be common at car dealerships. Another thing, I don't know why, but I always find myself shopping around AFTER the sale to see what kind of deal I really got. When you compare apples to apples I have not found a better deal on the purchases I've made with Jonathan. He negotiated for me, and I appreciate that. Then there is the financing. Anthony handled our financing well. Didn't make us feel like beggars because we needed to finance a lot to get out of a bad deal from a previous purchase NOT FROM KOONS Sterling.
