    Chicken Fried steak

I thought this place was pretty interesting. The building looked new the inside was 70s retro vibe. The waitress immediately sat up down and was super friendly. Service was great and the food was good. Prior to the meal we had the goat cheese. This was amazing, creamy with some heat and sweetness. I ordered the chicken fried steak and fries. The steak was nice and tender thick and not all batter. My fries were nice and crispy and the gravy with fresh jalapeños was an Ace in the hole. I had two other individuals with me. The burger looked amazing and the patty was as thick and not frozen. I had a taste, it was as delicious but didn't like the BBQ sauce on the burger. (This is me, others may like it). I will definitely come back and try their steaks . Stay hungry

I've probably told this story before but it's relevant to my recent visit to Bryan/College Station. A few years back a bunch of car club peeps all gathered in the area. I'm interested in exploring the food scene. Instead, we end up dining at Twin Peaks because there was a coupon for free queso. And if I'm correct on my timeline Marfa Texas Kitchen had just opened. Cut to the chase MFT is a stunner. Attention to detail started with the calamari. Cute albeit purely theater Chinese togo box (branded with restaurant logo) with some nice crunchy goodness. Solid dipping sauces. Girls had Tortilla Soup. On my side having already consumed a couple of gin drinks I chose to snack on the Fig and Goat Cheese appetizer. Great pairing of flavors; crunchy crostini was the perfect vessel for consumption. We also devoured the Deviled Eggs with similar vigor. Atmosphere is trendy and artsy. You could make the case of pretentious which is what Marfa totally screams but it doesn't transfer into this space. We visited with one of the proprietors; glad to know the restaurant is in it's second year. Dining room will fill up fast! Highly recommended and make reservations!

Visited for Mother's Day dinner. Located a bit out of town but well worth a visit. Great service, good food (although crispy Brussels Sprouts could have used some seasoning), good drinks menu (would love to see Japanese Sake - rice wine varieties on the menu, to complement the Japanese whiskies), and cool/fresh ambience. A hefty 10 oz Ruffino not shown in photos. Set us back $155 for four persons (2 drinks) including tax and tip.

First time here. The restaurant is very cute. Laid back, Texas hipster vibes. Modern diner environment. Coffee was good, no espresso just coffee. Bar drinks are above par, housemade syrups and fresh juices. The bartender served us. She, Lacey (if I remember correctly) was great, had good recommendations and was very knowledgeable. My son had the scallops shrimp and grits, he cleaned the plate. I had chicken fries steak and fries with jalapeño gravy. Food was very good. Definitely be visiting this place again!!

Food was amazing, service was great, and the restaurant looked amazing on tbe inside. The menu had great selections for everyone to choose from. I wish this place had more marketing because it is so good! It's kind of tucked away on greens prairie road, but it is a must try.

Pistachio Crusted Jalapeno Chicken Fried Steak with Potatoes

I got the pistachio crusted jalapeno chicken fried steak with potatoes. It was pretty good, but it felt like it needed salt and pepper (which there was none on the table) the potatoes were like mini smashed potatoes, some crispy, some not. The ambiance was relaxing and low lighting which was cute. We sat by the bar at the table right by the door, but it wasn't too distracting. Our waitress was super sweet and very accommodating. Lots of parking available and located in Tower Point area! Kind of pricey for the food. This was one of the cheaper things on the menu being around 20ish dollars. Everything else was $30+. Overall great experience, but felt mediocre, I wouldn't come again.

Delicious food and drinks! Chicken with risotto was juicy and tender; the chopped salad was fresh and seasoned to perfection; and the calamari was crispy with a delightful creamy sauce. Plating was IMMACULATE. Service was also top notch with our very attentive server. We will definitely be back!

The pistachio crusted chicken fried steak was prepared to perfection. I would suggest splitting because the portion is huge. Our server did not visit us very often she had one other table and only came back when we flagged her down- this is the only aspect I would have changed. It was a birthday dinner and I definitely felt like we were inconveniencing her by asking for refills or more ketchup. Drinks were also incredible too!

Our server was Faith and she was very helpful with questions about the menu. The drinks were good and and food was better. The chef came out to make sure my steak was cooked to my liking which was nice. We sat outside it was very a nice day out.

My mother and I went in to try this place during their social hour (4-6pm) on a Thursday. The atmosphere is very dark and is not super reminiscent of Marfa, TX to me but I read the story on their website and that's not the goal. I think it was smart to call the restaurant Marfa because it's all about getting people in that door. We got a bunch of small plates for 6-8 bucks and everything was incredible. The fried calamari and zucchini was our favorite and the BBQ sliders were a close second. I did not love the Figgin Drink I keep seeing on here but I tried it anyway. I don't know why but it just didn't have any recognizable tasting notes and just felt like I was drinking alcohol. My old fashioned was not anything special either. I must say the service was incredible and it was awesome for the manager/owner to check on us. I still feel as if there is room for improvement here for the price point. I would return for a burger though!

Found on yelp and what a find, food was very well presented and tasty. Service was quick and consistent. The decor of the restaurant was very clean and decorated thoughtfully.

We made it just in time because there was no wait and the restaurant wasn't crowded yet. We were greeted by Connor, who was a pleasure to have as our server. He made great recommendations and gave us his honest opinions about the food and drinks, which we really appreciated. I had the citrus chicken, while my family ordered the mushroom ravioli and spaghetti. Everything was delicious, and the fresh-squeezed lemonade was wonderful! I also tried a lavender mocktail. It was okay, although I think it may have tasted better as a cocktail. By the time we were ready to leave, there was a wait, so we were glad we arrived when we did. There is also plenty of outdoor seating if you prefer to dine outside. We really enjoyed the flavorful dishes, the friendly service, and the overall experience. We'll definitely be back again!

Nothing special with the escargot, but it was still delicious. The crispy brussel sprouts were good, but the balsamic glaze through my family off lol, but I still loved it. Nothing special about the pepperoni pizza at all. The melted Raclette was really fancy and delicious. They came out with melted cheese and scraped it onto our bread and prosciutto. Palo Alto dip was weird, but pretty good too. I don't think I've ever eaten anything like that. The bow tie pasta was ok. The Citrus Chicken and Beef Bourguigon were very tasty and flavorful. Overall, a bit pricey, but the food portions were generous and the quality on some of these dishes were worth it. The staff here were fast and friendly. Lots of tables to dine at to include outside in a tent, buuut it's summer so indoor sounds better lol. Lots of parking as well.

You place your order, they make your burger and it goes from the grill to the bun. Nice and greasy like it should be. Chicken Oil has become so packed you can't move. Old school country music playing. Creaky wooden floors. The one thing I CAN give the edge to Chicken Oil is the friendly and helpful staff! Because honestly..I've eaten at Koppe numerous times and literally every single time, the girls in the front are essentially snotty Sorority-type girls. Always different girls but always the same type. (Rude, eye rolls, zero friendly customer service). Maybe they need to hire staff based on personality and not how cute they are.
