Great spot for unique fresh bakery foods and ube cravings! Staff is friendly and keeps the line moving. Not a lot of seats so best to take goods to go.

Finally got to try the famous Kora donuts! While the cream in the calamansi basil donut was a bit too tangy and sweet for my personal taste, the real standout for me was their Pandan Matcha Latte. They source their matcha from Kettl, so you already know it's good quality matcha. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly balanced!

Can you say Sarapness. Always been a fan. Ecstatic they have a space to spread the amazingly created unique filipino flavores donuts. Such a high caliber and quality of donuts. Each bite was heavenly. Elegantly executed yet still honing in to the flavors of the mother land. The ube latte was surprisingly amazing. Can't wait to come back

SO HAPPY I TRIED KORA!! The flan donut is worth the price. I loved how creamy it was and it was not too sweet at all. I can tell they balance the flavors in all the fonts very well. The matcha passion fruit danish was a highlight. The ube donut is def a must try. And the fig donut (seasonal) was one of my favorites as well. Pandan matcha is as not my favorite but it was nice. I like pandan flavors.

Updating the review to 5 stars! the current flavor rotation of focaccia and matcha passionfruit donuts are DELICIOUS Service was fine and the vibes always nice when walking in -- unfortunately I grabbed to go both times but will definitely like to spend more time inside for the future. The cafe is clean simple and cozy. This is a great spot to come back to and try something new each time and as their classics also are great it's definitely a staple of the neighborhood!

Been craving this place for a min now. It's been a yr. This is still the best donut shop I've been to, since I haven't been to any others that have such unique fillings & toppings. 4/5 "Lychee Matcha Americano $7.50: Kettl Hinata matcha, lychee syrup, lychee jelly" - good, strong matcha, slightly bitter, wish it was a bit sweeter, lychee layer on bottom & lychee jelly on top was nice 3/5 "Orange Blossom Latte $7.50: Cara Cara orange bay leaf cheong, espresso, orange blossom cold foam, Regular Milk" - couldn't taste or smell the orange blossom, too sweet, decent, strong latte otherwise 4/5 "Garlic Chive & Cheese $7.50: garlic chive pesto, Edam cheese" - really good, love anything pesto, with chive & garlicky, got a bit too salty at 1 point 5/5 "Asparagus & Spring Herb Focaccia $11: asparagus, spring herb mix, crème fraiche" - wish they provided metal utensils cuz I couldn't cut through the tough exterior with plastic utensils, thick & so filling, flavor wise- fantastic, sour 3/5 "Sweet Pea & Almond Twist $7.00: sweet pea filling, toasted almond" - too sweet, too crumbly 3/5 "Mango Macadamia Sable $6.25: sable, toasted macadamia, mango"- tastes so much like thumbprint cookies, except this is harder/firmer, has more of a snap to it, more like a biscuit, too sweet even tho I tried the half w/o white chocolate on top 4/5 "Pistachio & Cherry Cruller $7: pistachio butter glaze, tart cherry filling" - love the tart cherry filling, balances out the pistachio butter glaze 4/5 "Pain Auro Chocolate $6.25 Auro 55% dark chocolate pain au chocolat. Contains gluten, dairy, eggs, soy." - wish it was 65% but pretty good anyway, standard for an Asian bakery 4/5 "Leche Flan Fried Brioche $7: Fried brioche, flan cream, Lola Corazon's beloved flan. Contains gluten, dairy, eggs, soy." So sweet, but so good, such creamy flan Till next yr, or perhaps the next season.

They open at 7:30 AM on the dot. The staff was already hard at work baking and prepping drinks. I like stopping by when they open to grab something before work (plus the meter parking outside doesn't start until 8:30 AM, though there is no parking between 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM). Be aware that they only have the croissant products this early. The full pastry menu is available after 9 AM. They have signature pastries and drinks, and then seasonal pastries and drinks. This time around, I opted for a Spam and Cheese Pan Suisse, and their seasonal (Spring) Lychee Matcha Americano. For non seasonal drinks, I enjoy their Pandan Matcha. Their croissants are airy and crisp. The toppings/fillings are evenly spaced and flavorful. The Spam & Cheese Pan Suisse had a nice bit of kick. The Lychee Matcha Americano (no actual espresso, just the style with matcha instead of espresso) was lychee forward. The lychee jelly is cute, though not as much lychee flavor as the drink. They are a little pricey, but worth it as a treat here and there. They are all baked daily and in house (you can see them working in the back through the glass windows).

Where do I begin - this is definitely a delicious donut shop. My absolute favorite was the Flan donut so créame soft, the Ube donut was also another favorite it had ube chips that added texture different but really good! All the donuts were fantastic not too sweet so it doesn't feel overwhelming. There's always a line so make sure to be patient- the staff were definitely helpful and friendly regardless of how busy they were.

Kora has been a solid go-to spot for my boyfriend and I for some time. We were introduced to Kora during the pandemic and loved their story as much as their donuts donuts. This location in Sunnyside is very popular! There is a line outside before opening on weekends (possibly weekdays too). My favorites are Leche Flan Ni Lola donut and the Spam and Cheese Pan Suisse Croissant (it's freaking DELICIOUS!). Every time I make it to Sunnyside, I'm always hitting up Kora! Great pastries, great people :)

    Priti C.

I tried the Spam & Cheese Pan Suisse, Leche Flan ni Lola, and a pandan matcha latte (not pictured), and everything was amazing. The pan suisse had the perfect balance of savory and flaky, the leche flan was rich and creamy without being overly sweet, and the pandan matcha latte was so delicious. You can really tell how much care goes into everything they make. Definitely worth the visit, and I can't wait to come back and try more!

I cannot begin to explain how much I've been wanting to try this place. The first time I went, the selection was very minimal so I didn't want to make a judgement on whether or not I liked it. Then the second and third time I tried to go, it was unfortunately closed. But this time, not only was it open but the still had a huge selection of pastries to choose from. I was in love with these pastries but just to point out a couple of favorites. My absolute favorite was the ube donut. It was perfectly lightly sweet and the bread was nice and fluffy. My second favorite was the leche flan donut. I have been seeing this donut everywhere and it is definitely worth the hype (it only took second place because it was a little sweeter than I would've liked). The for the cookies, my absolute favorite was The Goddess. It had such a nice chewy texture and also was not too sweet. There was only one pastry I did not like but it might just be a personal thing. There was a rhubarb donut which was weirdly savory and bitter. It was very pretty and the idea was super interesting and on top of this, the donut itself was extremely soft but I couldn't get over the flavor. The service was really nice. I couldn't make it to the shop myself but the counter staff helped my fiancé with choosing a couple of pastries that they thought I might like.

    Michelle Y.

The inside is very pretty. It is very clean and modern. There is nice lighting and plenty of seating. It does look a bit out of place from Sunnyside honestly. We got two desserts. The flan and ube donut. The flan was very good and sweet. The ube looked good and filling too. We would love to come back to try more sweets with more friends. The workers were helpful in providing recommendations. This is a great place to stop by with friends to catch up. There is also a bathroom.

Kora in Sunnyside is an absolute gem! This is hands down one of the best bakeries I've ever been to! This Filipino-inspired spot has elevated pastries to an art form, blending rich, vibrant flavors with incredible technique. I went a little overboard this weekend and ordered a massive haul, but every single item was phenomenal. 5 stars aren't enough! Started with the Manila Cream. It was creamy, dreamy, and perfectly balanced. The Cranberry Guava Chocolate was a tart-sweet explosion that I couldn't stop eating. Both the Chocolate Rival and Sans Chocolate Fried Brioche were next-level: fluffy, fried-to-perfection brioche with that addictive crisp exterior. The Ube items stole the show for me! The Ube Babka Swirl had this gorgeous laminated swirl of rich ube butter, flaky and indulgent. We doubled up on Ube Fried Brioche and Leche Flan Fried Brioche. The ube version was silky and purple perfection, while the leche flan brought that caramelized, custardy magic inside the brioche. Unreal! The Salted Egg Babka delivered savory-sweet umami heaven, and the Blood Orange & Milk Chocolate Danish was bright, citrusy, and chocolatey in the best way. My kids loved the cream filling! Pomegranate Cheesecake Danish offered a fruity, tangy cheesecake filling that was so smooth and tasty on every bite. Don't skip the cookies. They are hefty and packed with flavor. The Caramelized White Chocolate & Banana Cookie was gooey caramel bliss with banana notes. The Ube Coconut Cookie had that classic ube-coconut combo done perfectly. And the FFG (Food for the Goddesses) I'm still thinking about that one; mysterious name, but divine taste! And to wash it all down, I got a hot chocolate called The Kora Chocolate Silk. It was velvety and decadent, like a chocolate lover's dream. They melted dark chocolate and caramelized some marshmallows in it. Very good! Everything was fresh, creative, and executed with so much care. The staff was friendly, the vibe welcoming, and the value is there despite the indulgence. Kora has quickly become a must-visit in Queens whether you're craving ube everything or just want mind-blowing pastries, this place delivers. Highly recommend grabbing a box (or two. or three) and treating yourself. You won't regret it!

    Did the location change?

Not sure of any other locations but the one I visited was located on Greenpoint Ave in Sunnyside Queens.

How often do they rotate flavors?

They do some seasonal flavors so I assume every 2-3 months .

Hi, How can we order online if you don't have telephone number written in your website?

You need to approach the owner .

Do they make CHEESE DANISH SPECIFICALLY?

They do ,though I didn't try.

How are Koras cookies? The doughnuts don't ship to California:(

I would recommend them. They are good and unique

The fries were good, but a little inconsistent in texture. Some pieces were hard while other's soft. Salted Egg Pancake $16 - includes one large thick pancake with citrus butter, and salted egg cream. The pancake was good, but I did not really taste the salted eff flavor. Crab Omelette $28 - included slow simmered dungeness crab, aromatic coconut sauce, and garlic toast. There was a good amount of crab and the omelet reminded me of a light Thai curry flavor. Garlic toast is always a nice addition. Pancit Batil Patong $25 - included stir-fried egg noodles, seasoned ground beef, pork chicharron, and a fried egg. This was our favorite dish. Packed with flavor. I would come back just for this. Everything we ordered was great. Staff was friendly. There are 2 unisex bathrooms.

Filled donuts are bursting at the seams with custard that tastes like egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla and little else. The orange cream cheese donut is generously frosted with, I'd guess, a mixture of cream cheese, marmalade, powdered sugar, and cream. Based on what we've tried, the donuts at Caroline's are old fashioned, unadulterated and excellent. I recently picked up four donuts for the fambly: the aforementioned orange cream cheese, creme brulee, Boston cream, and raspberry glaze donuts. This was in the afternoon around 4 p.m. and all of them were perfectly, wondrously fresh. The person at the counter (the male proprietor, I think) assured me in his charming French accent that they freshly fry donuts several times a day. Creme brulee was the fan favorite with the hard, crisp, sugar shell on top cracking delicately under a knife to reveal a loose, rich, custardy filling. But across the board, donuts were beautifully made (both aesthetic and delicious!), and well frosted / glazed / filled. The raspberry glaze by itself was a touch too sweet for our tastes, but applied with restraint so the overall effect was balanced. We are not in the donut market very often, but have had this place bookmarked ever since my esteemed Yelp colleague, Alan S., reviewed it last year. Now that we've tried these beauties, I think we're going to find many excuses to be back (e.g. for Hannukah sufganiyot, anything round for Lunar New Year, anything fried for Diwali, anything that can support a candle for birthdays, etc...).We really like this place and we suspect you will, too.

The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet. The dough is light and fluffy and generously coated with granulated sugar. What a treat!
