It's definitely a cozy and popular café--mostly cozy because of the size. Seating is limited, but the interior design is clean, minimal, and uncluttered, which makes the space feel calm and welcoming despite the steady stream of customers coming in and out while we were there. Food-wise, everything impressed us. I ordered the pistachio croissant, while my companions got the gochujang hot chicken sandwich and the breakfast sandwich. The chicken sandwich was especially memorable--unique, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. My pistachio croissant was also great; personally, I might have preferred a little less pistachio cream or a more textured filling like almond paste, but that's purely a preference. It was still excellent. The service really stood out. They were quick, friendly, and incredibly accommodating--one of my companions accidentally dropped their sandwich, and the staff replaced it free of charge without hesitation. When I came at ~2pm on a Sunday, it was so busy and there were people sitting outside and inside. The cafe offers some breakfast food on top of their drink options. We came on the weekend and there was a line out the door. The line moved quickly, but it was a bit of a struggle to get a seat. We were able to get a table and wanted our food on plates, but they said they ran out of plates so they put the food in to go containers. Such a cozy little corner Cafe! I wanted a good breakfast and iced Americano, and ended up ordering the Breakfast Burrito with lamb sausage as well as Raspberry Danish. The burrito really gets elevated when you order it with some protein. The lamb sausage is halal and it is spiced up with delicious earthy flavors. It's worth getting even though it's an added $4. The Danish, however, is my real favorite. The Raspberry jam is delicious and there is soft, creamy cheese inside. The Danish is baked perfectly, balancing the fluffiness and chewiness. Space is tight and there are not too many tables and chairs, but if the weather is as nice as today, outside is just as pleasant as inside. I'll definitely come back to explore more of the menu. Pleased to see they use Sey Coffee which is some of the best coffee in the entire city, so the coffee will not disappoint. Really what I cam here for, though, were the pastries, which also did not disappoint. The pistachio donut was something special, as well as the cardamom bun. They were freshly made, and you can tell the place puts in a ton of effort into their baked goods as many people are coming here for their pastries, some of which ran out by noon! Bits of vanilla bean decorated this fresh donut filling and there was a wonderful lightly sweet glaze on top and crumbly pistachio bits. The cardamom bun was also quite special, and had layers circumferentially upon itself like a cinnamon roll does, but has a tougher exterior which was enjoyable to bite into, and a nice, perfectly sweet frosting on top! I came with friends in the morning for brunch on July 4th. Surprisingly there's already a line outside of the door waiting to place order. The place is small with only a few tables and very noisy when it's getting crowded. The food is amazing. Egg sandwich with bacon is highly recommended. The egg is so fluffy and tasty. Short ribs sandwich is not bad either, but the sauces and arugula flavor overpowered the ribs. Remember to add cardamon syrup to the drinks, it makes a big difference. Little flower is a small cafe, with limited seating. But the baked goods and breakfast sandwich caught our eyes, especially the halal bacon (beef bacon). Great place to grab a quick sip and bite but the overcrowding (especially on weekends) has become out of control during peak hours. So please don't be those types of people who lounge around with their laptops or books or with a group of friends when it gets busy - it can get super uncomfortable when a mass amount of people start coming in and scattering all over the small space. I know I've come close to getting clocked in the face by those just loitering around instead of waiting outside. That said, I've come here on several occasions for some nice coffee and a sandwich after the gym. It's ALWAYS on point. Their Short Rib sandwich is honestly my favorite item to get here. It may look small but it is enough to fill you up for a few hours and yes, it is very messy, in case you're wondering :) I always get their cold brew and it's more of a light roast fare, which is to my liking. Their pear and goat cheese danish is also very nice and may be a little odd for those who aren't used to having sweet, tart, salty, and herbally flavors all at once. This place is a gem in Astoria. The coffee is hand crafted and the lattes have a nice velvety foam. They have really awesome looking and tasting pastries with a middle eastern flair. They also have a small breakfast and lunch menu such as a breakfast burrito and and a burger. They also have seasonal pastries like a pumpkin spice donut that are not on the posted menu. The pastries are fresh and are on a pastry cart behind the register. I've only had the coffee and pastries, but am really looking forward to trying their gochujang hot chicken sammie and short rib sandwich. The atmosphere is a minimalist and industrial design. They are right on the corner with large windows on the south and west side so it is nice and bright. The barista we met on a weekend morning was really nice too. I've come here a few times and always seem at least half full so seating may be a bit difficult to find. They do have a few bistro tables and chairs outside.
