My fiancé and her aunt had the bulgogi plate, and I had the Bossam (boiled seasoned sliced pork belly) The hostess that took our order also asked me if I knew how to eat the dish I ordered. I told her no, first time eating this. She took the time to put on new serving gloves to demonstrate how to fill the leaf with the pork belly slices, with little rice, a small spread of their spicy shrimp paste, chopped garlic and peppers, wrapping the leaf tight and compact for a flavorful single bite. It was a different experience, however it was absolutely flavorful. Ordered the bossam large, since small was unavailable, I loved how she mentioned she's been doing this for 40years. This mom and pop shop is hidden gem and dedicated to sharing their culture through their food. The ambiance of the store is small but relaxing. I will definitely return to try that bossam with some beer. We came here for dinner and ordered the family meal. It was just the two of us, but we wanted to try everything, so we ordered the family meal. We stared with plum soju and that flavor was really good. Then the food started to come out. First was the kimchi and scallion pancake. Then the soup. Then the beef, spicy pork, chicken and spare ribs. My favorite was the scallion pancake, soup, chicken and ribs. The server checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was ok. I would recommend giving this restaurant a try you will not be disappointed everything was delicious. This restaurant is very authentic verses an all you can eat Korean bbq place. Where does one stop to eat if stuck in traffic on route to Vegas? Maybe somewhere new that is more hearty than fast food. Enter Korean BBQ in a nondescript plaza Hispanic plaza near El Super and La Michochana. Food pictures looked fairly good and we were in for an experience upon walking inside the restaurant. There were probably 8 tables and up to two tables being used. One Hispanic waitress was only there servicing tables. Our party pushed tables together and sat waiting for service as we watched Korean singers on the television. Our waitress eventually stopped by our table and asked for our order. We inquired regarding how many people a large serving soup it typically feeds. She walked back to the kitchen and an older grandmother came out to answer our question. "How many people does this family hotpot serve?" "Does it come with banchan?" The woman counts how many were at our table and said "Three. Yes, banchan" We chuckled and agreed even though we knew she just wanted to sell us the larger order. If it fed 6 or 7 people, we may opted for smaller dishes. After 25 minutes later, our seafood pot came out and it was huge. It smelled amazing. We had to ask for bowls and utensils. Our waitress never asked if we wanted anything to drink until we were close to being done with our meal. *Cons: Dirty/outdated tile bathrooms with a shower in female bathroom. Service was spotty and not formally trained in restaurant industry. *Pros: Great traditional flavors on some dishes. While I don't significantly regret coming here, it is unlikely that I will be returning. read more

(But she couldn't tell us what the side dishes were) Then we ordered Then somebody else told us that it doesn't come with side dishes and they were doing us a favor by giving tiny side dishes for 5 adults to share. Then the food arrived and it was nothing like the images on the menu. The menu had no descriptions, just names and images. The food was stiff and dry, it was just like the frozen and reheated kind.
