1000 fish, sticky mango rice, coconut shrimp
    Phillip B.

Family-owned spot and my first time trying Lao food. I ordered the 1000 Fish, coconut shrimp, and sticky mango rice. Everything was super flavorful and really good. The fish was fried perfectly--crispy on the outside and tender inside. The coconut shrimp and mango sticky rice were also excellent. Since the food is cooked to order, it did take a little time, but I actually appreciate fresh, made-to-order dishes, so I didn't mind waiting. If you're in a rush, I'd recommend calling ahead. Overall, great service and great food. I'll definitely be back.

Outstanding authentic Laotian food at this spot in Ulmerton Rd in Largo. Don't let the storefront strip center location intimidate you. The food and service are outstanding. There's a full menu of dozens of Laotian delicacies plus a full sushi bar. Try the Crying Tiger - scrumptious beef brisket flavorfully prepared amd served with a unique lao bitter sauce (jew bii). Lots to try on this menu. Go!

Came here when it first opened. Wish we could say we loved it, unfortunately not. We have had Lao food a handful of times and liked it. We ordered Heavenly Beef, Crunchy Rice, and Chicken Wings along with sticky rice. It's hard to say what I liked the most. The heavenly beef is tough and chewy. The crunchy rice so spicy yet it was probably my fave even though it was so spicy, & my least fave were the chicken wings. Our server was nice. The place was spacious and I did like the decor and the booths.

This is a must! Great flavor and goes well with Stick Rice. It's pork sausages.

I know the family behind this place personally--including both the Lao/Thai chef and the sushi chef--and let me tell you, they can cook. Most folks come here for the Thai staples (which are excellent), but if you're feeling a little adventurous, try the Lao dishes. They're bold, vibrant, and layered with flavor in ways that might surprise you if you've only had Thai cuisine before. Recently, the chef created a sampler platter just for first-timers--perfect if you're not sure where to start. And a heads-up: when you ask for Thai or Lao spicy, they don't hold back. You can also just let them know how many chilis you want--yes, it's that customizable. If you order sticky rice (and you should), wash your hands and eat it the traditional way--by hand. Roll it, knead it, and use it to scoop, dip, or chase each bite. The fresh vegetables on the side aren't just garnish--they're palate cleansers and flavor boosters. Lao food is an experience, not just a meal. The space is open and relaxed, with music playing in the background. On weekends, expect live performances or the occasional karaoke night--not really my thing, but some people love the energy. There's a small but solid selection of beer, wine, and Soju. I didn't come here for sushi this time, but Benz is behind the counter, and he's a fantastic sushi chef. You won't be disappointed. Just know--they're still new. A little understaffed, still finding their rhythm. Be patient. If you're local, give them your support. We need more Lao cuisine in the area, and this spot has heart, flavor, and a team that genuinely cares.

Appetizer that came at the end of our meal. Looks nothing like the picture on menu

Sadly a big no for me. I was excited to try this place because I had thoroughly enjoyed Savanh of Laos. Food was meh at best. And nothing looks like the pictures in the menu/matching the description. The crying tiger (signature beef brisket dish) the sauce that made it Laotian was so salty that it was hurting my tongue. We also ordered apps and entrees but plates are all the same size, and came out at random time. I asked the waiter where the one app we ordered was and he tried to explain but it didnt make sense at all. Would def not recommend or come back here.

This is the best Asian restaurant in Largo Florida! The food was so outstanding! Ben is a Master Chef and a Sushi Wizard. Everything he created was so delicious and every dish had perfect presentation. This restaurant is very spacious and is perfect for large events. Very comfortable seating with many pillows. This is a must try! You will have the best Asian Cuisine experience here. Many Laos Dishes that well have you coming back and crave for more. You will be amazed!

Ambiance is impeccable, they serve everything with flair. I'm a vegan and there's plenty of substitutions available (the thai tea is not vegan though, as they don't do milk substitutes for drinks/deserts). Food can take some time, but it's a nice chill time. Weirdly empty every time we go, this is a great quaint spot.

    Pork, 5oz

Tonight, we've had worst takeout for years. We paid the exorbitant price of $32 for two bad dishes and very small quantities. The pho soup barely fills a small bowl, the rice noodles aren't cooked, the broth has no flavor, and I found two half-balls of something beige that floated and had a rubbery texture, and there's exactly 2 oz of beef, really not very fresh, all that for $16! It's pure theft. For my bet, he ordered some kind of crispy pork, tasteless, unseasoned, with no side dishes, not even rice. There was 5 oz of it for €16 too. Lalemtable, shameful, you should be ashamed of yourself for selling food in such small quantities, of such poor quality for such a price before tax. It was our first time, and probably the last! Go somewhere else, seriously. How could I had pictures???

    Joann D.

Had high expectations and was unfortunately very disappointed. They need to take the pictures off the menu because NOTHING we ordered looked like the picture. Here is a picture of the crying tiger & this is how it came out. $17 for this I wish I had taken pictures of the appetizers, so disappointing. This place is overpriced with VERY SMALL portions. My friend ordered the pork belly heaven, small portion, so dry. It was actually embarrassing. They forgot one of our meals and claimed they put extra on the plate. It was so sad, I had to ask if he put the extra on there already or if he was bringing it because even with the extra, the portion was just ridiculously small. Curry came in a small bowl. Crab dip came in the little small ramekin they use for sauces with a few wonton chips for $15!! Sausage is cut up & dry, looks nothing like the picture on the menu. There were 4 of us, two apps, our entrees and a side soup and salad $180 with the tip. Overall, very disappointed and will not be returning.

    Pork belly Heaven....sushi lollipop!

The food was delish.....flavorful, fresh and the presentation was so pretty. Portions were good not great but the flavors were great. The staff was AMAZING I asked a lot of questions....never had Lao food before and he was patient and kind.

The service was good. I ordered pho beef soup with meatballs was brought chicken pho when I brought it up they took my bowl to kitchen and in 2 minutes brought back beef, missing meatballs but had chicken still in it. So they didn't make new just scooped out chicken and brought back. I still had to ask for my meatballs. Missing all side veggies and herbs. Wasn't a good first impression

Crying Tiger has definitely become my go-to spot during the week, sometimes I find myself there twice a week! I seriously can't get enough of their delicious thai iced coffee. I'm obsessed! There are days I stop by just for that and end up hopping on my laptop for a bit. I've had the chance to get to know the owners and staff, and they're such amazing, friendly people. The whole vibe is super inviting and very family oriented. And don't even get me started on the food, so good! I always leave stuffed. Highly recommend!

I narrowed down nearby options on my trusty Yelp app and we drove over to the strip mall that 3D Sushi is located in (although it has a different name now out front so there are two pages for this location). At any rate, the place was hopping on a Saturday night in December! It took a minute to be seated after we walked in, but once we sat down, we had plenty of attention. He went light enjoying his chicken noodle soup and I had miso soup; a very generous portion of veggie tempura; the cucumber wrapped "Ruby" sushi with a watermelon boba that is so incredibly delish! We even ended the evening with mango sticky rice -- even if it's not in season, it's a guest favorite and Staff makes sure to have the mangoes on hand. Boyfriend and I enjoyed getting to chat with Leilani who is super sweet and give our props to! We all have the west coast connection and we were eager to hear her story. Good luck to Leilani and the rest of the Staff on your business!

Right behind the Burrito Social (another favorite) it's relatively new and consistently fresh, hot & delicious. Today's visit I had the Pad Kee Mao Tofu and she the Red Curry. Their Sushi rolls are very good and the freshness and piping hot-ness of their food keeps us coming back!

We arrived around 10:15 p.m. on a Friday night, with the restaurant closing at 11:00 p.m. Maybe that contributed to our experience, although several other parties were seated after us, so we weren't the last customers of the evening. We ordered quickly since we already knew what we wanted. My partner ordered the special, I ordered the ramen, and we shared the fried shrimp dumplings as an appetizer. Our server was friendly and attentive, though it was clear the staff was beginning to transition into closing mode. Unfortunately, that affected the atmosphere. While we were still eating, employees were spraying tables and mopping nearby. The smell of cleaning chemicals mixed with our food, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. When my ramen arrived, it looked more like a wonton soup or pho than the ramen I was expecting. I didn't question it because I assumed it might be their interpretation of the dish. However, the broth was quite bland, and the vegetables were still somewhat undercooked. The chicken had no seasoning, it tasted like it was boiled within the broth. After a few bites and sips, I decided not to finish it. My partner seemed to enjoy his meal, though he tends to be pretty easygoing when it comes to food. I didn't try his dish since it was very spicy and that's not really my thing. The restaurant is in a great location on Central Avenue, which makes it a fun area to walk around and people-watch. However, with most dishes priced around $20, I expected a better overall experience and higher quality food. Unfortunately, this isn't a place I would return to.

They were victim to a fire but are back full speed ahead with impeccable service, food, & drinks as ever. The staff is both friendly and genuinely wants you to have a good experience. They have mastered both the Thai and Japanese aspects of the menu (obviously in the name but a lot of places are strong in only certain categories). Everything we tried was insane. The Krab Rangoons really stood out to me as those are a dish everyone loves and wants to order at each place and they do theirs spring roll style so you get a bite of everything in every single bite - it's not all in the middle or barely filled. The Thai teas blew us away. We couldn't get enough. The rolls WOWWW was so hard to decide but our server, Kyle hooked it up with the recs.
