I've been wanting to go here for quite some time. I was in the neighborhood getting my bike fixed up at Bedstuy bicycles when I decided to jaunt over to Korean BTS market. So many plants outside so many beautiful flowers inside. A great selection of food, including homemade kimchi, which looked amazing, they also have mochi donuts which is very exciting. Definitely the closest mochi donut stop to my apartment. The inside of the store is small but full of delicious looking food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cute hole in the wall. I think it's connected to a flower place but wanted some Asian food and this hit the spot. Rec their kimbap!!

I adore Woorijip, the Koreatown eatery with a lunch buffet and lots of ready to eat meals like tofu stews, kimbap, rice bowls, and lots of banchan. Korean BTS is Brooklyn's own mini version of Woorijip, with so many fresh Korean side dishes and tubs of delicious kimchi for all your Korean food preparation needs. I spotted fried anchovies, fish cake, fried zucchini, and rice cakes/ tteokbokki among the banchan and everything I tried was fabulous. There's even a large selection of Korean chips I had fun selecting from. During the day they have a stand in the back serving made to order food like sundubu, bibimbap, fried chicken, and ramyun. I haven't tried that yet but I'm more than happy to select from their banchan options. There's a place that just opened in Long Island City billing themselves as a place that sells banchan but from the looks of it there are fewer options and the price tags are high. The packaging is beautiful and that's really what you're paying for. If you're looking for the homey goods, Korean BTS Market is my idea of heaven. read more

This cozy Korean grocery market is *chef's kiss* they have several fresh food items including noodles, Kimbap (Korean rice rolls) and Korean fried chicken. I got the Korean fried chicken and it was still hot in the package, talk about fresh! It was so good, they have two varieties: sweet & spicy and garlic. They also have fresh baked goods including cookies, bread and pastry items. They also have beer, sweet drinks including canned boba (I don't trust canned boba but it looked legit) and mochi donuts. This place also has flowers, plants and more! The cashier was friendly. Would highly recommend! TL;DR: cozy Korean grocery market that has fresh food items, plants and flowers. I live in Brooklyn. After watching one of my KDramas I got a taste for some Korean dishes especially kimchi. So I went to this market because I did not want to have to travel to 32nd Street for HMart . Well, needless to say I had to go to my trusty HMart anyway. As a member of the culinary industry with a NYC Food Protection Certification, you do not serve food to the public without a label! that shows the ingredients and expiration date. I wanted some kimchi but the kimchi in the smaller packages was not labeled and didn't look fressh. The young lady at the cash register had the nerve to tell me Kimchi doesn't expire as long as you keep it refigerated. That is a lie. The Kimchi package I picked up top was buldging, which let me know the the kimchi had become rancid and acidic and if the top was taking off, it would have released a really bad smell. Do not buy any products from this place that is not properly packaged! On top of that they didn't have that much of a selection in the Korean on the go meals! I will not be going back! read more

Omg I love this place. So many delicious homemade Korean goodies in addition to mochi donuts and fresh flowers! You really can't ask for more. Bf and I stopped by for lunch today and managed to snag the single table in the market. We knew we were going to buy what felt like EVERYTHING as we looked around. We each got a box of bulgogi kimbap, and shared some fried chicken and egg/omelette rolls (?) We definitely didn't finish and brought leftovers home. The ladies working there were very sweet and (as some reviewers mentioned) gave us complimentary cups of soup and a pack of seaweed. So nice! Before we left, we bought a couple boxes of kimchi and bean sprouts and a half dozen of the mochi donuts. Everything was affordable, fresh and delicious. This is a great little shop for some korean side dishes, gimbap and other korean snacks. A very condensed version of H mart in an area without an H mart in sight. They have a pretty nice variety and they're friendly. If you buy gimbap, they give you a side of soup. read more

Great spot for Korean prepared foods like kimbap, kimchi, pancakes, soy marinated eggs, seasoned fishcake, veg, and other side dishes. I prefer the freshly packed house kimchi (salad style--not too sour). Plus instant ramen, microwaveable rice, Korean pastries, and flowers. Shop is clean and service is friendly. And their mochi donuts come in a variety of flavors like green tea and black sesame. My girlfriend is Korean and we were so excited when we found this place. There are many lovely korean store owners in Bed-Stuy but this is one of the first we've found that focuses so much on korean food! And it is absolutely top tier. I'm still amazed at the consistency and quality of the food considering that it seems like a mom and pop shop with a few employees at most. You can tell how much love goes into the food. The star of the show is the young Ajumma who is in the back of the store cooking for the first half of every day. She does most of the cooking and puts out a lot of the food which you can pick up in the store throughout the day! At the same time, she clearly has trained her cooks very well as well, because when she's manning the front of the store the made-to-order food is just as good! Things not to miss: -The fried chicken made to order is comparable to pelicana. Insanely good. I personally like the soy garlic flavor. Like really it's actually amzingly good. -all of the different types of pajeon here are worth trying. They taste much more "plump" and homemade than what you'll get in a restaurant. Incredibly good. -all of the Kimbap always tastes fresh and the combinations of flavors are really well thought out. Probably some of my favorite kimbap I've ever had, and the k-girlfriend agrees. -all of the made-to-order soups and entrees are also amazingly well made. -if you haven't noticed, I like pretty much everything here. I think what you get here that you won't get at lot of other restaurants is that very homemade flavor and cooking style. It is just amazing to have nearby. The fact that the owners are so nice, the grocery is stocked with tons of ramyun and snacks, and that the shop also has absolutely gorgeous plants (which I'm definitely going to buy soon) are just the cherry on top of this absolutely massive find. We feel so so much more at home in this neighborhood being able to stop by BTS and get some real home cooking whenever we want!! Upon walking up, an Asian woman was chasing after a couple walking out the door with a new houseplant - she was excitedly giving them instructions on how to care for their new purchase. We grabbed some quick, already prepared bites like kimbap and kimchi and ordered the bibimbap and KFC. While we waited, a man came in to my some of their beautiful flower bouquets. Overall, a very warm and welcoming environment. We were lucky to have a seat at the only table in the store, the Asian woman saw us ready to dig into our bibimbap and rushed over with a bag of seaweed so we could make wraps. Another surprise, when they brought out some piping hot egg drop soup which we also didn't order. The KFC came out piping hot and naked (as ordered) with some bonus steak fries in the box. She gave us both the soy garlic and sweet/spicy sauces for dipping (can't go wrong with either). On our way out, the Asian woman bid farewell and offered us each a yogurt drink for dessert and the walk home. Food was very tasty on its own merit but the hospitality and smiles of the staff and other patrons made for a very pleasant experience. read more

Impressive selection of noodles and Korean grocery, also kombucha and gourmet like drinks. Mochi donuts only $3 each, discount if you buy more!!! tried the sweet potato/ube today, very good. Their pajeon is also extremely tasty, tried it first before writing this, of course. Will try their japchae and tokkbokki next time. Apparently the prepared foods are made in house by a grandma, you can LITERALLY taste the love in it. Has a good variety of kimbaps and a few other cooked foods. There are a few dumplings and one each of bulgolgi and spicy pork bentos when I went. They have a lot of kimchi that is homemade and a few flavors of mochi donuts. The entree comes with a seaweed broth that the girl said was "miso soup." Kimbap was great! Do not go here if you respect your taste buds. I got bibim bop, jap chae, both types of wings and dumplings. It was clear the bibim bop and jap chae had been made the day before as the rice and noodles were hard and cold. The wings were just gross. The batter was mush by the time I got home and frankly not very tasty. I mean Korean chicken should be salty, spicy, seasoned - something! But it was just bland. I'm not sure what happened to the dumplings as they were missing from my tote when I got home. Given the quality of everything else, that was probably a blessing in disguise. I've been waiting a while for Korean food in Bed-Stuy. At first I was expecting the usual over priced, sub standard Korean. I was completely wrong. This is the same quality of my favorite flushing spots. Given this is a Korean bodega with food to go, but quality is A+. When they have it, get the galbi tang. Their Korean fried chicken is soooo tasty. And I can finally get keembab (Korean sushi rolls) locally. They also have so many side options. What a delightful and well-appointed neighborhood market that I just happened to discover while doing a local Yelp search for a quick bite. Visually enticing interior with neatly arranged groceries, fresh flowers and a table display full of freshly prepared Korean eats - - their kimbap became an instant favorite and their mochi donuts are melt-away fresh.
