Slow and horrible services. We have been waiting waiting and waiting at the table for the food to be served.... After 1 hour and 10 mins, the server came to us and asked "is there anything else I can do for you?" Duh. She thought we finished lunch and just were hanging around. We said "food!" We got all the dishes after an hour and forty minutes. No apologies. No explanation. They didnt even bring side dishes. All the servers were busy in the hall, but they were not paying attention to the guests. read more

Had lunch there today. The food was good. We both had the spicy pork. It was very good flavor, but I'm used to more spice in it. It came with rice, salad, chopchae, and 3 pieces of tempura. I gave it a 4 as it is served with no kimchi or any other little bowls of typical Korean side dishes. They did have some kimchi and spicy squid in the refrigerator case. We were able to purchase one of each and add them to our lunch. I'm not sure we were able to eat even 1/2 our food, so we had a wonderful dinner. I can't wait to go back as it's the best Korean food I've had in the state besides going to Portland/Beaverton. read more

Great place with a variety of dishes. Katsu and soup dishes are both flavorful. The kitchen is very accommodating to low salt diets. Even when they are busy, they don't mind you waiting in the entrance area. The portions are quite generous, so if you have the appetite there is also gelato for desert. read more

The first place I've been to for korean food. I really like the galbi and bulgogi beef. The kimbap was ok but not that great. The staff doesn't seem to pay attention. I was there with my mom. We came and no one greeted us. Yes they were busy but they didn't tell us to sit down and wait or anything. They saw us and didn't say anything. Delicious take on Korean classics. There is definitely a bit of fusion going on, so if you are looking for 100% authentic, this might not be the best Korean experience. However, with that being said, the food is delectable and tasty, and my wife an I have never been disappointed with the portions, the quality or the service. One of my favorite restaurants in Corvallis! Very tasty Korean BBQ and an assortment of other dishes. Bulgogi and bibimbap are excellent quality and very filling. They also have Italian gelato which adds a fun flare for dessert after your Korean cuisine. read more

We tried this place when it was still Spice 'n' Ice and were disappointed. Went in one day on a whim to see what the name change was about and checked out the new menu. Discovered a new owner and lots of Korean dishes on offer. Seems one of the partners at Aomatsu down the street bought this place and all of us diners win. We've lived in Korea and love Korean food, so this is a nice addition to the Corvallis dining scene. Pretty limited lunch menu and decent selection of dishes on the dinner side. Visited only three times thus far, so can't comment on all the dishes. Can recommend the spicy rice cakes (dukbokki) and the spicy pork dinner. The owner is from Seoul and his wife is from Busan and the flavors are mostly authentic. Wish they had things like fermented soybean soup (doenjang chigae) and more side dishes (banchan), but looking forward to going back soon to try something new. The seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) is definitely next on our list! Owner Gary is now much friendlier than he was at Aomatsu. Prices are decent and the portions aren't bad. Nice selection of gelato. Being korean, it's difficult to go out and eat korean food especially in a small town like Corvallis. But this place really impressed me. Im not saying every dish is good but i can tell the chef knows how to cook! The side dishes (bahn chan) were very traditional and pleasantly flavored and the food was excellent. We got duk-bok-gi (spicy rice cake), soon do boo (soft tofu soup) and dak-dori-tang ( braised chilli chicken). Spicy rice cake may be a bit too spicy for average americans but the flavor is good.. thats how i would cook at home. Soft tofu soup is a difficult one to make and it was okay but I have had better. But the braised chilli chicken was a surprise. It is an authentic korean dish and they did a great job bringing out the rich flavors! This made me think their other traditional dishes such as gal-bi-chim (short rib stew.. pricy one) must be good too. If you want to try good korean food at reasonable price, I strongly recommend this place. Perhaps seafood pancake as an appetizer, definitely braised chilli chicken (if you like spicy food). I lived in Korea for 8 years. Was feeling "homesick" for Korean yumminess. Pleasantly surprised. This is about as close to authentic Korean food you're likely to find in the States. We had bulgogi, galbi jim, and teriyaki chicken. The seafood pancake was as I remembered it. The only things on the menu I was missing was "beef and leaf," pot bing su, and mandu. Came into town to drop off a bike for our daughter. She wanted to go off campus so we drove into town. Yelped places for lunch and walked around town checking out the different listings. Walked into Koriander, smelled the tasty aromas and decided to give it a shot. We were pleasantly helped by a young man who answered our question for recommendations. I ordered the bulgogi beef lunch, my husband ordered chicken teriyaki, and our daughter ordered the teriyaki salmon lunch. Not only did the order come in a timely manner, the lunch entrees were plentiful and incredibly delicious. The teriyaki chicken was a stand out. It was tender, a tasty flavor and one of the best we've had at a restaurant. It was a wonderful way to spend a couple hours visiting our daughter. I agree - much better now that it has replaced Spice and Ice. The manager (from Aomatsu) IS much friendlier now - what's that about? Anyways, delicious and authentic food (I'm Korean) and of good quality. Not too expensive (which Aomatsu is). The soups are excellent, as is the Kalbi and Seafood Pancake. The gelato is an odd addition, I think mostly a leftover from the previous business. Definitely worth a try! read more

I was disappointed in the meal I ate here. I ordered Pad Thai. It was flavorless and missing what I consider to be key flavor components such as lemongrass, lime and a sprinkling of nuts. The sauce was heavy and more like an oyster sauce you'd find at a cheap Chinese restaurant. At a $9 price for lunch it was awfully mediocre. When I walked in after 2 pm about half the tables were full of dirty dishes. Nothing wrong with that given the lunch rush had just ended, but someone rolled a big bus cart through the restaurant to clear the tables and I found that a rather messy approach for the half dozen tables still eating. The waitress never asked me whether I needed anything or whether my meal was good so I am guessing she didn't really care. read more

My son and I had the pork katsu and bulgogi. We also split a seafood pancake with ponzu sauce. All of the little side dishes/vegetables complemented the meal really well. My katsu was done really well and was really tasty. The katsu sauce should've come on the side instead of being put on it already but that was ok. The bulgogi was tender and also very tasty. Didn't really get a chance to savor the seafood pancake appetizer because our food came almost immediately after so we ended up boxing up the rest. We had a really early dinner and only had one other group there eating so that may have been why our food came quickly. Overall very good dining experience. read more

Food was good, but the service was the absolute WORST! I love trying new restaurants, but this waitress had no clue how to do her job. It took an hour and a half to get food to us and another hour to get our check. The new waitress didn't even know the menu. I will never go back to this restaurant because of the terrible service.
