No pictures to share but I will say that we had several cups of coffee from here over the several days we were in Pismo! This is my daughter's go-to for morning coffee and I have to say...she is right! Their coffee is so good with such a great coffee flavor and no bitterness to it at all. All of my cold brew coffees during our trip came from here and I really appreciate the staff working here. Obviously they know her by name and what she orders so on the days I went alone...they remembered me, asked questions about us and our trip and made our orders with great skill and care. I highly recommend this store for any coffee you need and they do also sell some delicious baked goods as well. Great coffee store!!! read more

Stopped by for a quick coffee and ended up finding one of my new favorite chocolate croissants! I ordered a vanilla iced latte--it had a nice, smooth flavor and was pretty solid. But the real star was the chocolate croissant. It was incredibly soft, filled with so much rich chocolate (not the usual barely-there filling you sometimes get). Every bite was perfectly chocolatey and honestly exceeded my expectations. As someone who loves chocolate croissants, this one definitely stands out as one of my favorites. Great gem of a coffee/bakery. I ordered (2) ham and cheese croissants, (2) chocolate croissants, a zucchini bread slice, and a vanilla iced matcha. It was insanely busy on July 4th but staff was so sweet and friendly I didn't mind the wait. The matcha was pretty good as well as the zucchini bread. My kids said the croissants were good as well with the ham and cheese loaded with ham. Would definitely come back the next time we are in Pismo again. read more

Came across this coffee shop during a trip to Pismo! It's walking distance from a lot of the shops / restaurants near the beach. Drinks were a bit too sweet! I got the White chocolate mocha. Plenty of seating. They also seemed understaffed but our drinks came out fast. read more

Customer service was not great. Barista charged for the smaller size when we ordered the large size. We mentioned it and person just shrugged it off because we charged the smaller one. No offer to remake or add more. Mugs are for show so you have to ask for it, even if you ordered pastries and coffees for here? They didn't have enough plates to serve the 3 pastries/sandwiches. That was very odd since it was very early in the morning. Hindsight, I would not have tipped them as much because of our experience. Would not be back. read more

Located between Pomeroy Ave. and Main St. by the City Public Parking lot on Dolliver St. with plenty of storefront parking and walking distance to the beach. This place had me at "Kortado". Besides coffee and tea, they serve smoothies, Sandos sandwiches, pastries, oatmeal. I went in for a hot 'Latte' and I must admit, that first zip was amazing! Definitely the best Latte any coffee shop has made me so far. The store is clean and has a few tables to sit, chat, and enjoy your treat. Prices are reasonable. Service was great! This was a nice little cafe in Pismo Beach! I wanted a good, light coffee to drink with my cinnamon roll. The waitress was kind to listen and recommend exactly what I wanted. Came in for a quick coffee and it was so close to closing time. The staff welcomed me with a smile and didn't make me feel like I needed to be rushed. I got and iced vanilla latte and it was cold, creamy and subtly sweet. I really liked it. Paid $6 for the 16 oz. The place was really clean with white wall and greenery plant aesthetic. After seeing all the excellent reviews, I gave it a shot on a Saturday morning. We arrived at around 9 AM and had to wait a bit. The staff were so nice! I got a Coconut Matcha which tasted like mostly coconut milk. I also got a berry crunchy muffin which was really tasty. The place is a bit on the small side so if you're looking for a place to come and do work, this isn't it. It fills up quickly and you're left awkwardly sitting while other people stand in line next to you. read more

Was searching for a decent coffee shop in SLO and stumbled upon this place in yelp. They are living up to the reviews. We came here right when they opened and our ordered was taken right away. Had the worst iced matcha latte of my life here this morning. Got in the car, took a sip and literally spit it out. It tasted like way too much matcha powder was mixed with hot water and then poured over ice with a splash of milk. Way too much matcha powder, not enough milk and zero sweetener. We were walking by, my husband knows I enjoy a good pastry. He noticed this new coffee shop, decided to check it out. I'm not a big coffee house Conniseures but I do enjoy it every now and then. I usually ask whether they enjoy or recommend, the young guy /barista immediately shouted he like the lavender honey latte. Went here for the reviews but it did not deliver. We got an Iced Vanilla Latte as well as a Matcha but upon receiving it, it look like 75% milk. Upon tasting it this was the prevalent flavor, just milk with a dash of coffee/matcha. If I wanted a cup of milk I could have stopped by the grocery store on the way. Would not recommend this place at all. read more

There was a party of 6 in front of us ordered a few items so it took awhile as the only staff on hand had to make or heat the sandwiches and make their drinks before taking our order. Drinks were ok. I love that all the shops and restaurants at Pismo Beach are local mom and pop type of shops instead of your massive chains. We decided to stop in at Kortado Bakery for breakfast one of the mornings we were here. This place seems to be a relatively new establishment but super warm and cozy inside, with a few tables and seating options. The menu options are standard and they have some pastry selections as well. I wish there was more hot food options but the only thing they had was a ham and cheese croissant. We decided to get a couple of these warmed up as well as two lattes (regular and matcha). The lattes were creamy, hot, and delicious. The croissant itself was nice and flaky, but the inside of the sandwich was unfortunately still cold. The flavors were still good though. read more

Stumbled upon this coffee shop while we were on the hunt for bagels. They didn't have any when we came in, but the barista was so nice that we decided to order something anyway. Super friendly and quick service! We really enjoyed our chai latte. It was perfectly sweet and the milk was nice and foamy. We also ordered the ham and swiss croissant which was a big hit. They bake the croissants in house and they're delicious! The zucchini bread was pretty good but nothing extraordinary. 11/10, off the scale delicious coffee. No photos because I chugged that sh*t. Their honey jasmine cold brew is life-changing (one of their February specials). Unfortunately I was only visiting the area and I am truly devastated that I can't get it on the regular. I loved it so much that I made sure to drop in one last time the morning that I had to leave. The BEST pastries in the 5 cities area hands down.Yes, I've tried all of them. The coffee cake muffin, cream cheese croissant, morning bun and almond croissant were all fantastic. Our name comes from our original product, the HOTLIX hot cinnamon sucker. What started as a classic hard candy soon became something much more unusual. They do have a lot of random yet interesting items. Different types of candies, souvenirs (which what I was looking for), and clothing. It was busy, yet the line went quickly and smoothly. Greatly appreciated. As busy as it was, it wasn't loud, but the average chatting between different people.

This is the only Filipino restaurant in the area, and it's a 56 mile round trip for me and my son to eat there. We actually tried ordering take our our last trip there and they had already ran out of food according to the lady that answered the phone. That's how delicious their food is! If you're in Pismo Beach, you have to stop by Kortado! This is hands down the best coffee shop in Pismo. The coffee is consistently amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They always make you feel right at home and provide great service with a smile. Whether you're a local or just visiting, you can't miss this place. I was visiting Pismo Beach and always love to try new coffee shops when traveling. I saw this place had recently opened and wanted to check it out. I just had a latte, it was delicious. The coffee shop was so cute and both team members I interacted with were so nice. They looked to have a nice selection of pastries as well. read more

Should Have Known Better…read more.... I've been to the Nautical Bean on Los Osos Valley Road a few times since my review in March 2026 and each visit earned 4 or 5 stars. Not bad! But I went back on Monday, June 8th and had a very different experience. I ordered 2 small cups of hot chai with extra foam, extra hot and 1/2 sweet. When they were done, both were "heavy" meaning they felt like there was no foam. I checked and yup...no foam. I mentioned it to the barista who said "no problem. I'll do them over". They were done quickly, but still felt "heavy". I didn't want to go back and figured "it's just me". I got into my car and tried one. It was 90% the same as before. She simply scraped a sliver of the drink off the top and added a touch of foam. Plus...the liquid was "thin" meaning she nearly scalded the drink to get it hot. The 2nd chai was the same way. And the shop wasn't even busy at the time. Everyone at the Nautical Bean is friendly and the vibe is great, but next time I'll take my own advice...even if that means going back to the barista twice to get things right.

Hope their drinks improve for the price they are charging. As you aren't really paying for service or ambiance, just the drink. Wanted to try their blueberry matcha but it was sold out.
