Love Pismo but hadn't been in years. It's turned into a real tourist trap, so I was a little worried about this place which I discovered on IG. Nearby parking can be tough, even in the paid lots, but we were able to find a place kiddy corner from the store. There was a long line (like it literally stretched next door) but it moved really fast, and you're entertained by getting to see them make the rolls basically from scratch. Seating is outside and is limited, but we lucked out and a table opened as soon as we were getting ready to sit down. Grab a couple extra napkins to wipe the table, because as I mentioned they're very busy so it doesn't seem they get to cleaning the tables often. Nothing gross, but not freshly wiped either. I got the cherry roll. She got the maple bacon. We shared. That cherry roll is one of the best of ANY dessert I've ever had. This place was very packed in the afternoon -- the line was out the door but moved really fast. When you walk inside, you get hit by the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls and you can see the workers making it fresh. We ordered the following items: 1. Pecan roll: 9/10 This was sooo delicious. I had expected the cinnamon rolls to be better but this was actually the highlight. The dough was flakier and softer than the cinnamon roll and the fresh pecans were so delicious. It wasn't too sweet which I appreciate. 2. Cinnamon roll: 6/10 This was pretty good but I expected more cinnamon flavor in the dough so I was a bit disappointed. Best cinnamon rolls I've ever tasted! I drove specifically for these cinnamon rolls because of the hype around it on social media. Fortunately, it was raining the day we came and there was no line at all with full racks of different flavored cinnamon rolls! The inside of this place smells absolutely heavenly. Prices felt fair for the portion sizes, and I liked that they also sell day old cinnamon rolls at half price. There's no indoor seating, but there are a few small tables outside near the line. They also have microwaves inside if you want to heat your roll up more, plus a small selection of drinks like milk and chocolate milk. The only downside was the service. The employees behind the counter were pretty short and not very friendly during our visit. Great cinnamon rolls with a wide variety of flavors ie bacon, walnuts, almonds, plain..... Their prices are very affordable from $4 to $6. There is a small parking lot right next door (6 spaces). There was a long line but it goes fast ie 15 minutes. The cashier was very attentive when I ordered. You can get 8 and get 1 free. They do not heat up the cinnamon rolls anymore but they do have a microwave. The place inside doesn't have any seating area. The seating area is outside. The cinnamon rolls taste better when heated. This spot was recommended to us by a friend and we decided to stop by on the way home from Paso Robles to LA. It's by Pismo Beach so you can get a couple rolls for the beach :) as in most beach towns, it can be a little crowded and parking scarce. We got there around 10:30AM and the line wasn't so bad - I was in and out in 20 minutes. On my way out the line was longer so it might be best to plan this stop early on your day. The staff was very pleasant and nice, and they also sell little merch trinkets inside such as magnets, hot cocoa or their own cinnamon roll mix! I just tried their original and the cream cheese rolls, and both are such a delight! The rolls are soft, moist, and just perfectly sweet. If I could do half stars I would do 2.5. This place was not awful by any means but my experience was super subpar and I was disappointed. I've seen this place all over social media and so I made the trek out there on the way home from. Conference. There was only a small line. The cost was affordable. But the flavor was barely there and the rolls were dry. I even got some of the ones from the fridge to take home and those were the Most average rolls I have ever had.
