This is a GO-TO whenever we are in town!! I get up exceptionally early because the lines start early but it is totally worth it!! Delicious and warm. The staff are so friendly and know their donuts. They have classics but their creativity on the menu is stellar!!! I have an APPLE FRITTER AND MAPLE BACON!!!!

Super yummy donuts. I was so excited about it I forgot to take a pic until I was half way done lol. I got the salted caramel and maple bacon. Both were so delicious. Cashier was super friendly. Lots of seating. This is my normal donut spot when I'm in Pismo.

Very good donuts, but not the best! They are a little over priced as well. Tip: get the salted Carmel donut!!!

Stopped by here early in the morning on our drive to Cambria for our caffeine fix, and heck, we're already in a doughnut shop so why not a sugar fix as well! Lol! The lady was very friendly and very helpful and could handle the crowd single handedly and was actually quick with her service. Very friendly, she chattered with us while we were having our great "fixes". They do have vegan and gluten free doughnuts and that's what I think got them the popularity. The doughnuts we ate were very good! The place was small and nondescript, and has this definitely beachy vibe!

Classic and unique donut options. Although they do run out quickly, it is best to get there early.

The best donuts ever. The service is amazing and the environment is so fun and warm. Taylor is always so bright and cheerful and is amazing at recommending options as well as accommodating costumers!!

some of the best donuts I've had. I got a classic maple bar, salted caramel, 2 boston oreo creams, lemon filled, and a s'mores donut. They all were not too sweet, not greasy, and very high quality... I would say these are better than the popular Saint Honoré donuts I've had in Vegas I personally don't like super heavy/sugary foods but these were perfectly balanced There is not much parking and no seating inside or outside. Service is usually fast and the line goes by quickly. They have rotating flavors everyday so check out their instagram for the new menu each day.

Came by around 9 am today (Sunday). There was one other group ahead of us. We ordered their Peanut Butter Oreo donuts, S'mores donut, and blueberry mini fritters. All of the donuts were great with the mini blueberry fritters being my favorite. How come most other donut shops can't make or choose not to make these kinds of unique donuts? The only issue for me is a psychological one. I know prices are going up but it is hard to pay $5 for a donut even if it is one of these special donuts. Easier to handle if it was called by another name like a pastry as weird as that sounds.

Cinnamon Toast Donut (so good I couldn't wait)

The donuts are so good! So creative! The customer service makes the experience even better. I wish I had more time to stop in but even my quick drop in made me want to come back. Would definitely recommend.

I am writing a review AFTER leaving California because, you don't know what you've got til it's gone. Or something like that. But I always did know Surfside was special. I don't like donuts all that much or eat them often but Carrie's donuts changed that for me after the first time trying them. I would pop in for a treat now and then or order boxes of them to take 45 min to Paso for our company all hands meetings. She even did custom company color themed ones for us one time. I now live in South Carolina and my little town doesn't have a donut shop, I'm missing Surfside so much. Keep up the amazing work Carrie and just know your donuts are changing lives out there

The individual working the register has bakery items on a rack that is eye level to her. She is constantly flopping her hair back and forth. In addition I noticed that when a server came out to clean tables and dirty dishes, they would put them in the sink and then just to grab food items to serve. They didn't even wash their hands! After I noticed that I had been waiting for a long time, I asked the person at the register about my food. She looked over to the rack and my food was just sitting there for an ample amount of time. All she could say was (very awkwardly) sorry. I decided to keep my cool and hoped the food was going to be okay, but when I got home there was hair in my plate.

We usually stay near the pier, and this place is less than a 30-second walk, which makes it perfect for a quick morning coffee run. Both times we've been here, the coffee has been excellent. On our first visit, we got iced coffees, and they were great. They offer a wide variety of milk options, creamers, and syrups, along with the usual sugars and sugar substitutes, so you can customize your drink pretty much however you want. They also have a full menu beyond coffee, including iced tea, lattes, chai, hot cocoa, and Americanos. For food, they offer pastries, Belgian waffles, avocado toast, breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burritos. I haven't personally tried the food yet, but everything I've seen coming out looks really good. On this most recent visit, we tried their affogatos, and they did not disappoint. We both went with vanilla, and it was exactly what you'd expect. The espresso was made fresh, and the balance between the hot espresso and cold ice cream was perfect. Seating inside is limited to a few bar stools, but if you walk just outside and around the corner, there's a breezeway seating area with comfortable chairs and a nice coastal breeze. It's a great spot to sit and relax for a bit. Overall, this is a great coffee spot in Pismo Beach. Consistently good drinks, quick service, and a convenient location. We walked to the entry way, less than a couple yards from the hostess booth and in clear view of her to be signaled over. In the meantime, another couple walked up requesting a table, instead of being instructed to return, they stood there and waited persistently to be seated. As I noticed a table clearing, I walked up to check with the hostess to ensure we would be getting that table. The other couple took that as their cue to insists that they get the table that was being cleared. Instead of seating us, the hostess gave the excuse that there was no reservations and no naming for tables, and instead gave the now open table to the extremely pushy couple demanding a table they were 2nd in line for. Had we not been adamantly instructed to wait and check in again in a couple minutes coupled with the fact that we were literally sitting at a table within view AND normal talking distance for her to say "we are ready", she caved in to the rude couple's persistence in being given that table. Catering to customers like that surely isn't the best choice and had others, like us, walk away. We did speak with the supervisor on shift. He did his best to make things right, but at this point the entire situation left us little appetite to dine here.
