Great little grab and go sushi place which is also great for pot luck or party platters. No seating is available inside for consuming your purchases just a small area while waiting for the order to be completed. Well made Maki sushi rolls, the bento boxes are great for a quick lunch at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended and have never been disappointed with the quality of food from this location over the many years of frequenting this location.

The food is always fresh and very ono! Service is always fast and friendly! Kozo never disappoints with these spicy ahi poke bowls. Keep up the great work, food and service!!!

Solid place to get sushi! Staff is friendly, nice kind service, and fresh tasting sushi quality. Each item is made to order by a sushi chef in the back! Quality is better than your standard grocery store, and about the same/slightly less in pure fresh quality as a high cost sushi restaurant. Price range is very inexpensive--reasonable given the style of ordering and experience! As in, all orders are TO GO as this is not a restaurant/sit down shop. All of us enjoyed our orders, and they even had vegan/vegetarian options for me! Yay!

Is it me or are all kozos a little different? In my opinion their spicy ahi bowl at the Kaneohe location smacks!Kozos has been here as long as I can remember and I really do hope they stay that way.

I'm giving a 4 star for the efficiency, friendliness and price of food you get. It's not some fancy sushi place like going to a private omakase chef curated meal at Suntory but if you are hungry it will satisfy you. I come here when I'm pressed between appointments and need a quick lunch that isn't deep fried.

What happened to the circumference of the temaki ? Inflation !

I used to work for the Mo'ili'ili Kozo location in the 90's & their temaki circumference was normal, not like the temaki that I have in these pics. Kozo's prices & quality are still unbeatable though. Their sushi rice still tastes the best too. No matter what, we still love Kozo Sushi !

We've been coming here for years and will always stop by when in the area. My go to is their spicy ahi bowl. Good and service is good!

This location is always consistent. The lady at the cash register is very polite and always makes sure that my order is correct. You can call to order ahead for pickup, but they are fast so you can just go there and order and it will be ready in 5-10min. Their fish is a decent quality for the price. I got the spicy ahi roll and the spicy ahi gunkan. It was my first time trying the roll as I normally just get the gunkan. It was the same thing, but the roll has sprouts inside it. It was okay, but the spiritus gave it a weird flavor that did not pair well with he spicy ahi. Next time I will order the roll without the sprouts inside or just get the spicy ahi gunkan. There are also other sushi sets which are extremely reasonable in price. The store is small and can only hold about 2-3 people at a time so you may have to wait outside for a little bit. They require masks while ordering and picking up in the store (it's their store policy). If you forget, they give you one to use.

The food is consistently delicious, and the lunch special is where this place really shines. For around $30 per person, the all-you-can-eat option is an incredible value and one of the best lunch deals around. The service is decent--not exceptional, but good enough that it doesn't take away from the experience. The only downside for me is the dinner menu. While the food is still great, it gets pretty expensive, and at that price point I'd rather go somewhere I'm fully waited on instead of paying to cook my own meal. If you're thinking about trying Gyu-Kaku, I'd definitely recommend going for lunch. It's an awesome experience, the quality of the food is excellent, and the value is hard to beat.

So finally got to try some of their lunch specials as I want feeling the grilling my own at the time. Lunch bowl specials are not bad really can't complain for the portions to the price. Got the tonkatsu ramen minus the set so ramen only was about $12.95 I got the Umakara beef bowl taste like a bulgogi sukiyaki with a hint of spice. Set came with miso soup and salad. Also got an order of mochiko chicken dipping sauce had a kick. Again portions to price I'd come here again! All that minus our discount was around $20!! Service was good and fast since it was early lunch. Plenty of tables available

It really felt like a family owned business, and the same three people were there both days. Everyone was extremely nice, and honestly, I would come back just because of how welcoming they were. We ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice, and the portion of sesame chicken was huge. I definitely wasn't expecting that much food, but I'm not complaining. The chicken was really crispy and had a great flavor. The food also came out pretty quickly, so there wasn't much of a wait. One thing I really appreciated was how attentive they were with the water. I drink a lot of water, especially with how hot it is in Hawaii, and I mentioned that when we first sat down. Every time my glass started getting low, the gentleman would come over and refill it without me even having to ask. He probably refilled it 8 to 10 times, which I really appreciated. The music was also really good, and we had a nice window seat where we could look outside. The seating was comfortable and the whole experience was just really pleasant. I would definitely recommend coming here, especially if you appreciate good food and genuinely friendly service.

I thought tge kim chee was a good level if heat, but my friend could only eat 1 piece. We both ate a little more than half of everything & took home leftovers. I am not a fan if katsu (chicken or pork) because it tends to be oily, but I took a chance & so glad I did! Ayame's chicken katsu was not oily & it was crispy/crunchy. I also don't like katsu sauce (don't judge), so I ate it w/the gyoza dipping sauce I made & I was happy! I would like to try their curry & ramen on future trips. And I just saw, they have mapo tofu curry! That sounds interesting! One of my friend's roommate always gets the pineapple chicken katsu fried rice. I need to try that, too! See... many future trips!
