Seriously so delicious, no need to convince us!" SERVICE: friendly n' welcoming INTERIOR: n/a EXTERIOR: went to the Kaneohe location, order at the door, across from Walgreens, go through hallway WAIT TIME: 30 mins total (20 mins before placing in-person order, received food after 10 mins). You can also text your order with name & pick up time to 808-723-5308 n' await confirmation. PARKING: free plaza lot OVERALL COMMENTS: both items are delicious! The bite size strips of kalbi are flavorful n' well marinated. The fries have a type of horseradish tasting mayo, not overpowering but you get a hint of it with each bite. The ahi katsu is crispy n' has a nice glaze put on top. Different in that they are strips of ahi instead of a full steak size, which gives you more of the crispy exterior. The sides are the perfect compliments to complete the meal. My 5 y/o son even enjoys everything too. I'm already craving n' wanting this again!

Another great lunch from Flyin Ahi. It was almost 1pm after going to the movies at Windward Mall,…read moreso I was hungry. I decided to stop by here, since it was only a couple of minutes away on my way home. I pulled around to the back of the bldg by going past the laundromat, and there was plenty of parking. I ordered a Korean fried chicken plate at the window, and was given the buzzer. It only took a few minutes before I got the buzz, and was on my way home. The chicken was still hot and crispy when I got home, and the two salads (green and mac) were still cold. The sauce on the chicken isn't the traditional Korean (shoyu, garlic, ginger, sesame) one that I'm used to, but it's still tasty. It's more of a sweet honey/citrus style, but it goes well with the salad and rice, and I especially love that the chicken skin is really crispy. I also like that they put furikake over the bed of rice that's under the huge pieces of chicken, too. A great lunch at a fairly reasonable cost.

They do have a large parking lot. They don't do reservations. But this is less of a problem here then other places. We were not lucky with the weather, if it was good, the ground are beautiful gardens. They do have one of the best waiting areas I've ever seen, as well as a bar area, to wait in, so you are not hovering over others as they eat. You can also order drinks and apps in the area. Their mango margarita was standout, "it tastes just like a mango!" The restaurant appears to be arranged so that most tables have some of a view of their open patio. Even with the rain, it was lovely, and they lit touches as it grew dark. The menu is the right size, I think a more focused menu lends to better food. We had difficulty deciding as everything sounded great. We started with their poke, very good, and nicely presented. I had the grilled fish, which was great, and my friends had two very different steaks. One got the prime rib, and it was on theme for our dinosaur tour at the ranch. It arrived as big as her head, all three of us could have enjoyed it. Great experience and I hope to return without the side of rain.

My family and I were hungry and didn't feel like going to the food court so I teased the idea to my husband, caught a quick glimpse of the basket menus for our kids and was immediately set on going, hoping the boys wouldn't mind. We ordered: 1 pupu platter appetizer 1 soft shell crab basket with fries 2 lemon pepper wing baskets with fries 1 crawfish combo (with shrimp, mussels, clams, sausage, corn, potatoes) Everything was so flavorful and crispy! We weren't expecting the fries to have that much, but they were sooo good! The only downside was that the lemon pepper wings were too salty. The seafood combo was delicious as well, but the shrimp was kinda mushy. Will be coming back again soon!

I checked to make sure I had everything, and noticed my coleslaw and my two corns were missing. Good thing I hadn't left yet. Staff was kind when they realized, and apologized for the wait. When I finally got home to eat, I went to peel my first my first shrimp and my finger smooshed all the way through the shrimp, complete mush. I grabbed the next shrimp hoping for the best, but same thing. At this point, I was just eating them, because I didn't spend $70 for nothing. The sauce was good, I just had to get over the texture. I want to say about 95% of the shrimps I ate were soft. Flash forward to the middle of the night and this morning, my stomach has been so sore. It's hard to get out of the bathroom. I look up if "soft shrimp" are safe to eat, and google tells me soft shrimp are usually spoiled, and definitely not safe to eat. I'll probably not eat at this location ever again, and would recommend if anyone wants to try it out, to dine in and complain if they have soft shrimp, or avoid the shrimp fully.

I ordered it as a take-out, and it was provided in two separate containers; one with the rice and pickled veggies and the other holding the spare ribs with a ton of sauce. There actually was too much sauce, and I suggested that they reduce the amount so it doesn't overwhelm the overall dish. The server, Ming Ming, went out of her way, always checking if we had enough meat, and if we needed more soup. Her attentiveness deserves to be mentioned! Thanks for excellent service! We were able to get seated immediately as the restaurant wasn't crowded (had 2 other groups there at the time). Server left us with the ordering menu and didn't really explain anything, but she came back and asked if we had questions since she noticed we were confused. You can choose your broth and then first round of meats using the paper. You then go to the self-serve bar to get snow crab legs, veggies, noodles, tofu, seafood, sauces, and other items. The broth came in personal pots and took a little while to heat up and boil. Meats come fast after ordering. The self-serve bar items looked fresh and were in quantities where it seemed like they were changed often. The only thing I noticed was that the thai basil in the sauce section was mostly wilted and brown/black. Other items looked clean and fresh. The snow crab legs were fresh and tasted great. The meats were thinly sliced and were really delicious. I got the tom yum base and it was a very subtle broth and you could taste the lemon inside it. It was refreshing and light. I saw in the corner that they have an ice chest with ice pops inside and it was a good way to cool down after eating hot pot. Servers came by to take more orders for more meat and clear plates here and there. Overall, I enjoyed this place and would be back again when I have a craving for hot pot.
