Came here with my parents. I really like this place! So warm and cozy inside. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night, we didn't have a reservation but there was a table available and we also got parking on the street outside. Next time I'm going to call for a reservation! Waiter was super nice and funny. They have an option for half pitcher of sangria for only $14! It lasted for 5 glasses of sangria! The sangria was very sweet but I liked it. Bread is given for the table. My chicken parm was good, it wasn't a huge portion though. And the tomato sauce was a bit too spicy for me. The chicken was thin, juicy and tender. My mom's chicken wasn't as tender it and it was more chewy, it was chunks of chicken, It was the pollo scarpariello. My dad got the halibut and my husband got the sole, the sole was my fav dish! It was so soft and the flavor was light and it tasted very good. Desserts were affordable and tasty. Nothing spectacular but still very good. All in all the food and drinks were great and I would go back!

If 6 stars was an option, Sarelli's would earn it! Food is incredible, service is fantastic, and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend!

I am already planning my return visit! This food at this restaurant is made with love and natural ingredients. I tried the chicken parmigiana and my partner had the beef rigatoni special. We also orders the sangria pitcher which was well... did its job! to finish we orders their dessert. Go on a Friday night when Abby and piano bill are there!

Spumoni for the finish!

Neighborhood Italian restaurant... The service was fast and efficient. I ordered the rigatoni special with sausage and meat sauce very flavorful and delicious. The portions were more than enough. I also enjoyed a pitcher of the house sangria while being serenaded by the sounds of piano Bill and Abby...to finish the meal I chose the spumoni which made me happy

The staff is always friendly that they make you feel like you're at the comfort in you own home; it's like family. Sometimes they have live music; not sure when though. We usually come in for dinner and it's always savory and as authentic as it gets for us. The plates are massive so we tend to walk out with to go boxes. It ain't complete without dessert or an espresso.

What a pleasant surprise! Great ambiance, service was good, and the food was reasonably priced, with generous portions and a great taste. The last time I had been here was in 2006 and I honestly did not remember the experience at all, so I had to try it again. I'm glad I did. We decided against an app or dessert, since it was a school night. So my friend got the chicken scapariello, and I got the linguine di mare. Both were very good. What I liked about the sauces was that they were simple. The tomato sauce on the linguine did not contain an abundance of offensive herbs like oregano, but also wasn't too sweet. The sauce over the chicken was great, and the sausage was of good quality. Also, the bread that came to the table was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Nice touch. The portions were generous. I finished up all my fish and could only handle a couple of fork-fulls of the pasta, which was perfectly cooked. Had a cordial to end the evening, but next time I fully plan on getting either the zabaglione or the cannoli. Maybe I'll see ya there! Because you should come here and eat.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. My friends who live in Bayonne took me on a Friday night (apparently the best time to go). Let's start with the food: delicious! We started out by sharing the eggplant rotini in vodka sauce and the broccoli rabe. Everything was so flavorful. I branched out and tried the pasta Lila, which was so fresh and summery, topped with a variety of veggies and olives. Along the way we shared a pitcher of sangria--definitely order this if you're a sangria fan. We finished with spumoni and espresso martinis. Perfection. But that's not all... the atmosphere: 10/10! There's live entertainment in the form of a singer on an electric keyboard belting out hits from folks like Sinatra, Barry White and more. There were many celebrations happening at the restaurant that night and lots of dancing. But apparently that happens every Friday, Birthdays and graduations aside. We joined the crowd and had the best time, dancing and laughing with new friends of all ages. I can't wait for my next visit.

Just ok, nothing special. Sangria is too sweet. Very basic Italian food. Probably good for a cheap meal with your kids.

Staff is very professional and friendly, always making sure everyone is having a good time. Honestly, all the food is great here but some of my favorites are definitely the carpaccio and calamari appetizer (the calamari is the BEST I ever had, hands down) and their coffee panacota for dessert is also out of this world, just amazing! If you are a bread lover just know they make their own bread in house. 5 stars always!

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

I was a bit hesitant to try despite the strong positive reviews, because I also read reviews about it being hard to get a table and they can be rude and its a whole thing and blah blah blah. I am glad I didn't listen to those reviews! It was an amazing experience and Angelina and her son were so nice to us. Yes you have to call up a couple of times to make a reservation and put in your food order, but trust me it's worth it. The decor is nothing like any other restaurants, and the whole experience is nothing like another restaurant. The decor is loud, American and flashy, with an undertone of warmth given by the red and Christmas lights strung everywhere. 4th of July meets Christmas meets Election Day, also somehow it evoked a feeling of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Over the bar area a TV was playing the football playoffs and also a radio was playing jazz and swing music. It's literally like going over someone's house. In a really good way, you feel welcomed and taken care of. Angelina's son pours your glass of wine to the brim and refills your sangria at no charge. He even taught us how to eat the stuffed artichoke after he saw us scooping it on our plate. Instead he said just take a leaf off and suck everything out. Which actually made so much sense and made the experience eating the appetizer much better. I never had a stuffed artichoke before so I can't compare it to anything, but it was a really fun experience eating it and was buttery and delicious. Food came out pretty quickly. The artichoke came out probably just 15 minutes after we sat down. The meals seem to range from 20-40 dollars a dish. I assume the prices fluctuate more than your average restaurant. Which is fine to me, food is more expensive nowadays and these portions are huge and delicious. It's family style! The artichoke was $22, the eggplant parm $30, lasagna $38 and the chicken marsala $40. Glass of wine $10, Sangria $13. Cash only I believe. 3 people could probably share one entree and feel content enough to go home. But we got 3 entrees and an appetizer for 4 people. We have dinner for the rest of the week! Prepare to overeat when you come here. The Eggplant parm was stand-out for me. It was my favorite. The sauce was sweet and light, and the eggplant was crispy and flavorful. The lasagna had a different tomato sauce on it, also good. The cheese in the lasagna was really good as well. There was also a side of pasta handed to us, not sure which dish it was supposed to accompany. It also had red sauce on it, but tasted different from the two other red sauces! That's a real level of detail, make 3 different red sauces when you could just use the same. It's just such good quality food. The bread that was brought out was very good as well, soft, - a good dipping bread! Ask for dessert because the Cannoli was delicious! I want to come back and try tiramisu if they have it. We spent 2 hours here. There were only 2 other tables on a Saturday night. I don't think it's as coveted as it used to be, it's easy to call her. Just find it on google maps and press the call button. I called when the place is closed (before 4:30), because I assume she is busy cooking and attending to the guests during dinner time. Then you just reserve a date and time. She messages you the menu. Though for some reason the text never came through on my phone so I called back and asked if she can send it to my husband's phone number. She did, and we got the menu. I called her back up told her our food order and a week later we sat down and enjoyed our delicious meal! This place is the best, and a really great place to go when your new to the town. They have been here all their lives and know everyone. I felt welcomed and now a true member of the Bayonne community. We will definitely be back.

Cozy and definitely feels like an old school Italian restaurant. Servers are welcoming and super friendly. Attentive but not too attentive. We made a reservation by calling, it was busy but there were still a few tables empty on a Saturday night. The bartender greeted us with a big smile. Honestly this place should be busier it's much better than the other Italian restaurants in town. We started off with calamari. $20. Perfect texture, and flavor. Not too salty, and not chewy at all. It was delicious. I got chicken martini off the specials menu, and it was two thin sliced chicken breasts in a lemon caper sauce with tomatoes and artichokes. It was exactly what I wanted and the chicken was soft, moist and delicious. It's a little pricey for the portion I think it was $34 but it wasn't the biggest plate of food. My husband got a pasta dish that he loved, it was homemade stuffed pasta with spinach and cheese. The menu had a lot of creative dishes on there, not all typical Italian dishes you would normally find. Dinner comes with fried polenta and carrots and broccoli which is a nice touch. There is another Italian restaurant in Bayonne that does that, I haven't seen that done before I moved here. I do like it! It's nice that a side like that is complimentary. And the bread is complimentary as well, it's a big baguette and it was super soft and flavorful but crunchy on the outside, very good for free bread! I also liked how they had two sets of forks so you didn't have to keep your appetizer fork for dinner. They also box the food up in the back so you don't have to do it yourself. Excellent service. I would definitely come back here again.
