The meats were fresh, tender, and kept at proper temperatures, which we appreciated. Our waitress, Anna, was very friendly and helpful when we first arrived and explained how everything worked. That said, the service side could improve a bit. Since you're already getting your own food and cooking it yourself, it would be nice if staff were more attentive about clearing plates and checking on drinks. Our table filled up with dishes pretty quickly and we ended up clearing some plates ourselves to a nearby cart just to make space. Our drinks were also forgotten a couple of times. Food-wise, the BBQ meats were great, and they also had a big variety of vegetables and ingredients for the hot pot, which looked amazing. Next time I'll definitely be trying the hot pot too. I've heard some good things about this place when I was reading the reviews I was a little unsure about why people were asking about the AC so just be aware that the heat from the stoves in the pots do make you feel a little warm so although it is cold in the beginning, no need for a jacket you will warm up moving onto the food. There were so many options for the grill. There were also plenty full options for hot pot. I did like that they had separate tongs for each individual meat as well as seafood, making sure to not have cross-contamination. The vegetables are all stationed together as well as root vegetables seafood items are next to one another, making it very easy to combine like items. Overall, I was very pleased with the service the flavors and the sauce options. After picking out my broth - Korean Seafood, a suggestion from my server Robert, we were on our way to a tour of everything for our food. Everything was nicely labeled and organized. Different plates and tons of diff noodles, proteins, veggies galore. Picked up a bunch of goodies and tossed them in the hotpot. Meanwhile picked up a few items for the grill. This experience was such a pleasant surprise. I really, really enjoyed it! I normally don't care to cook my own food when dining out at a restaurant. The hot pot & BBQ concept made it so much fun. It's more spacious than I thought it would be. They are utilizing the entire building. The booth seating is so comfortable. But, the main reason it gets 5 stars is for the service. Robert was so helpful for our first K-POT experience. As newbies, we relied on him a lot. He was so sweet and professional, and gave us a tour around the buffet. He also gave us great tips on BBQ techniques. Especially when using oil or butter to keep the food from sticking. It would have been a disaster without him. Lol! He also changed out our grill at least once. We were there on a busy Monday before Christmas. They are offering all day dinner. It will continue all the way through New Year's Day. It's pricier than lunch, but then you get an extended menu of steaks and seafood (including crab legs). It was super overwhelming for my first visit. I somehow managed, and everything blended well together with the mushroom broth. That part was simple. Just get whatever your heart desires from the buffet and throw it in there. There are oils, sauces, onions, garlic, fresh herbs, sliced lemons (or limes) to season it. It's just a lot of everything you can think of to make your experience a joyful one. I could go on & on. I had lotus root & fried taro for the first time. It's surprising how well root vegetables absorb the broth. I used a little spam to add salt. The quail eggs, bok choy, and shrimp dumplings were very good. The variety of mushrooms were particularly amazing. I think I sampled all of the different mushrooms. There was a lot of seafood. That's what I will try next time. I was more into the meats, and just because it tastes better with mushroom broth. My friend selected the Korean seafood tofu one, and loved it. She was more into the seafood selection, and there was a huge variety. We couldn't stop experimenting. Will I go back? Absolutely! I added a variety of veggies and noodles. It was quite flavorful. For the Korean BBQ, I grilled some veggies. If don't eat meat, I wouldn't recommend doing the Korean BBQ menu. bottom line: pretty expensive and the experience was sort of mediocre. we didn't realize the entire table has to get the same thing, hot pot or kbbq, and i haven't encountered that elsewhere. that threw us off a bit. our server was friendly, and the food seemed fresh, but it wasn't really that great of a spot. there was a leak from the ceiling almost directly above us and there was a puddle underneath it about 6" away from where we were sitting. we asked about it and were told that management/owners know but wont fix it and it's been that way for awhile. i also don't know why we were sat there because on our journey to pick our food we saw many empty tables. also, they didn't let us have oil for the grill (kbbq) and our server came back very sparingly so we only got it re-oiled once while we were there. made it hard to cook and everything tasted kind of burnt/charred after awhile. i probably wouldn't return. i don't think it was worth it, but it had potential. i usually love kbbq and hot pot but this was not it. read more

When we arrive we weren't sure of which service we were going to get. Kevin walked us around the buffet options and showed us what the options would look like. We wound up getting both hot pot and Korean bbq. He was pretty attentive the whole time and very helpful. The gaibi short ribs was excellent. The one thing though we kind of uncovered, if you don't get hot pot, there's not going to be a ton of veggies with the BBQ. The meat choices for the grill we're all excellent great variety. The meat choices for the hot pot are fine, but they've got a great variety of dumplings, balls, mushrooms, veg, etc that you can put in. They have giant green grapes. The texture was almost like an apple, it was crazy. I'm never eaten grapes like this in my whole life. The sago was pretty good, a sweet coconut type soup that is found in the Philippines but also similar to tapioca options available in Southeast Asia. The sweet fungus soup was scary, but so so so delicious. We went there around 12:00 p.m. and left 2 hours later, the place was busy but still plenty of room. My wife and I went here on a whim. We had heard about it, and thought, hey, we don't have the kids, let's try it. We went early, so we got in fairly easily. The weather was horrible that night, we sat in the car for 15 minutes before it let up enough to walk in, and I think that might have been part of the reason there was less of a crowd. The interior is much nicer than I would expect looking at it from the outside. It was clean and updated. We were seated and contact by our waitress. She did a very good job of explaining everything to us. The value of the meal was very good. I would recommend not eating a lot earlier in the day before going there. We decided to the combo where you could do both the K-Pot and the Korean BBQ. More on this later. The food was laid out very well. The quality of the meats was quite good. Options were not numerous, but there were plenty to chose from. The meat selections were more limited, but there was a lot of options with noodles and veggies. There are two different lines, one with some items just for BBQ and one with some items just K-Pot. There were sauces to dip the BBQ meats in. The table was great with its multiple cooking surfaces. I love cooking at my table, similar to some of my favorite fondu places, so I really enjoyed this part of the meal. So, why only 4 stars. I agree, it seems like a 5 star experience. Here are my 4 reasons. I don't like the pricing structure. If I want BBQ and my wife wants k-pot, we have order the highest price meal. We did that this time, and I didn't not see the value. Honestly, when we talked about it, this is probably the one thing that will keep us from coming back more regularly. It is only a $5 difference, but I hate paying for something I won't use. Second, you leave that place smelling like Korean BBQ. Not really their fault, but still something that wasn't awesome. Third, you have to take your meat to a seasoning station to even put salt and pepper on it. If you put salt, pepper, and garlic powder on the table, that would make it a lot easier, then you could just got to the seasoning area for specialty rubs. Finally, the sauces were fairly limited. I only enjoyed 2 or 3 of them. Dipping sauces really can make the meal so much more enjoyable with this kind of cooking. They could improve in this area. Overall, loved the service and was happy with the food. If I could get the BBQ and the wife could get the k-pot, we would probably make this a regular part of our date nights. Okay, I finally got to catch my breath after being blown away from my recent visit with KPot. I was very skeptical since the St. Pete location wasn't really a hit or a miss. This location took over the SariOne in Brandon and is so much closer. Parking is plenty and very easy to get to. This is a buffet option so you get up and get your own food compared to the other locations where you have to order everything. It's much bigger too and so clean! No wait on opening on Sunday, we were seated fairly quickly and we've been hot potting since forever so we didn't really need a tour or instructions on how to do it BUT they do offer that option so I think that's really nice for first time comers. Our server was Kevin and he was super attentive and helpful. He was on top of things and we enjoyed having him wait on us. He made the experience even better. Meats, noodles, veggies, hot foods are out of this world! The meats are thicker cuts and I like that better in my hot pot. Everything was delicious!! They also have karaoke rooms for bigger parties and can host up to 20 people with 12 cookers. Reservations are recommended. I will have to say that I wasn't expecting a lot and then I got a lot and this is my new hot pot to go place! I no longer have to drive to USF to get my hot pot fix! What a double win!
