Fire food! The sushi is some of the best I've ever tasted. The customer service was great & the food came out quick! Ramen had a lot of flavor and was a great amount of food. Restaurant was really nice and had a lot of seating. Love being able to see the chefs making the food as well!

The sushi place is one of the top five in the Tampa Bay area. I normally visit this spot on the weekends, which is moderately crowded. There usually isn't a wait, would recommend calling in ahead just in case. I normally order the shrimp tempura appetizer. Although the full quality is pretty good, the batter can be a little bit greasy. The shrimp tempura roll is pretty good. We also order the Ramen, which is the highlight. Overall, I would say this place is really good and would highly recommend. We definitely will return in the near future.

A friend and I ended up here after a change in plans for the night and it was excellent. We ordered edamame, pork buns, and harumaki (spring rolls) to start. The pork buns were the highlight of the starters: pillowy soft bun filled with a slice of pork belly and presented like a taco. We also ordered the waygu, spider web and sexy rolls. All were fresh and delish but our fav was the sexy roll. We also really enjoyed the lychee martini! Service was quick, attentive, knowledgeable and funny! The entire restaurant is clean and the decor is well done. If I lived closer, this place would be in my regular rotation for sure!

I wish Yelp had half stars bc this restaurant was solid 3.5/ 5 for me. It was not great but it wasn't bad. We ordered a ton to try and the food was either really good or not good at all. I'd go back only bc I know now what to order. The lamb, pork belly, ramen, rice bowls, and desserts are delicious. The chicken gizzards appetizer , chicken bun, sushi rolls, and soft shell crab app were not good. The service was great and super welcoming. Our waiter Joe was super cool. The restaurant is pretty and a cool concept. It didn't get a little loud so it's not an intimate type spot if that's what you're looking for.

Nice place for sushi in the Brandin area. This replaced the Genghis from back in the day. Good service and sushi was great! Will definitely come back!

This place is a such a gem. I really loved the cozy decor and how clean it was. The tables are not too close so you have some elbow room from other guests. Ordered the sushi and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and attentive.

The best sushi and ramen in town! Definitely a must try! Plenty of seating and they can accommodate large groups with a little notice. Seats are comfortable, whether in a normal seat, bench, or booth. Service is always on point! The servers here are on point, and you can tell they enjoy what they do, and all get along. Food is amazing and always consistent from visit to visit. I personally recommend the spicy tongkatsu ramen, sweet heart rolls, sakana crisps, and yellowtail jalapeño. If you like old fashions, try their kanji Campfire!

Decided to try out this spot a few nights ago and it so happy we did! I was craving sushi and my bf wanted ramen so it was a win win. The inside of this restaurant is super cute and classy and the service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We started with the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi dish, it was delicious. I ordered miso soup, sexy roll & Ikura and my bf ordered the spicy katsu ramen and the dragon roll (I think it was called) . I loved my roll and soup ! He loved his too. The ramen was good too, however I felt it was missing something. Will def be back to try more sushi. I wish they'd open a location in Wesley chapel , because the distance is kind of far.

Excellent experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every roll we tried was delicious, and the ramen was rich, comforting, and perfectly prepared. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean, inviting, and had a great atmosphere. If you're looking for high-quality sushi and ramen with outstanding service, Kanji Sushi & Ramen is definitely worth a visit. We'll definitely be coming back!

The BEST experience ever! This is my new sushi/Japanese spot! Everything was delicious. Penny our server was attentive and very sweet! She made our lunch that much better. The boa buns were delicious. The shrimp tempura appetizer is great. The presentation of the food was five star. I will be back and tell my friends! The restaurant is a little deceiving from the outside and I actually think that this place would do amazing like downtown Saint Pete or Tampa but the inside is beautiful. I love everything about it. It's very dark and intimate.

I came for dinner with my fiancee after seeing the solid Yelp reviews for Kanji Sushi & Ramen, and I'm glad we checked it out, it was a great experience. They offer a $29 meal set that includes ramen, three sides, salad or soup, a pork bun, and dessert. It's a great deal if you're hungry and want to try a variety of items. The service was attentive, friendly, and welcoming. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, nicely decorated, and they clearly focus on presentation. For example, my fiancée's sushi dish came with a glowing cube for a fun touch. While it looked aesthetically pleasing, I'd suggest avoiding non-edible items on the plate just to be safe. Overall, I really enjoyed it and definitely plan to come back.

What an absolute surprise we had today for a quick lunch. They just won best of the bay, and it is evident that this is an award that is well deserved. The decor is stunning, the food is divine and the service was solid. The tuna was almost toro, and cannot believe they serve that on their luncheon special. The salad dressing was wonderful, and the salad was fresh. Highly recommend.

But don't let that fool you into thinking it's under different management. It's the same wonderful team that's always been there. I was happy to see that during my most recent visit. My favorite item here is the Black Garlic Ramen. Honestly, it's my favorite ramen in the area. This time, I decided to deviate. I went with the Mega Pork mainly because of the beautiful picture on the menu. This is such a meaty and tasty dish, although I did miss the black garlic oil. I'd totally get this again with the addition of black garlic. There's something about it that really brings out the seasoned flavors of the egg. The tonkotsu broth is always amazing with or without it. It warms my bones, and especially on a cold winter day. It's also nice that Kung Fu Tea is still the prominent brand here. It's always reliable with consistently good quality ingredients. Their seasonal Pumpkin Oolong Milk Tea is always a winner. So, what has changed? The menu now includes soft or crispy sushi tacos. They have 4 different kinds. I tried the crispy shell with smoked salmon. I LOVE it!! I almost ordered another one, but it would have been too much with the ramen. I can't wait to get it again. I really love that fried maki wrap. It's so light & crunchy. It really does add a good amount of texture to the sushi along with the cucumber. So, I almost got one of the 4 different udons on the menu. It was going to be a toss up between the Kimchi Shrimp and the Black Garlic. Again, it was the beautiful pictures on the menu that lured me in. Ah, but I went with the ramen instead. I will definitely try the udon next time. I was told that the Kimchi Shrimp is very popular. If that's not enough to tempt you, then you must check out the dessert menu. I saw items such as Matcha Cheesecake and Vanilla Crepe Cake that definitely caught my eye. I'm already thinking about my next lunch order. I love the rebranding and the new menu. The service is still great as well as the ambiance in the dining area. It's a place that will always keep me coming back for more. Update: Get the Kimchi Shrimp Udon. It's that Korean inspired udon dish that almost tastes Italian. Absolutely delicious! Freedom & Nevaeh were both so very helpful. Thanks to both!

There were several spots there, but this one immediately caught my attention. Small, tucked away, and with the words "Sushi" and "Ramen" on the sign. That was all I needed to see. I walked in, picked up the food I had already ordered, and headed back to the hotel. I was too tired to sit down and enjoy my meal there... maybe I should have. Maybe next time? The ambiance is great! The wall art was fantastic, and it felt like a small izakaya straight out of Japan.
