My lady and I absolutely love KPOT. We've been to many of their other locations around the country, but are very happy we finally have one in Mass. Methuen is a troop for us but well worth the drive. Supposedly another location is opening in Malden too? Location has ample free parking in the shopping plaza. Clean area, clean restaurant. The staff looks like they have things held together well. The hot bar was always stocked and continually cleaned, hoping this standard is kept as time goes on. Their AYCE menu, we typically just go for KBBQ so i will only speak on that but if you like Hotpot, it's additional $5 per person to do the combo of KBBQ + Hotpot. Staff was nice, checked in on us regularly and the manager also stopped by to say Hi. I like that their pricing is competitive, and INCLUSIVE of short ribs. I really dislike the other places that require you to bump up to a premium tier for maybe one item you really wanted. other restuarants continually (bigger chains) increased their pricing 100% since Covid, yet service and quality has dwindled. I want during their first week of opening and had a pleasant experience. The staff is very attentive and the menu had a lot of options. There was a bit of a wait in between receiving items, but I did love the Tech aspect where we were able to order through an iPad at the table. It is cool how you can combine the K-BBQ with the hot pot for an additional five dollars. The space was beautifully decorated with TVs and neon signage. My family friends absolutely love this place so we decided to try it. There were 9 of us so we sat at 2 different tables with 4 pots each so I did not have a pot. Unfortunately even though i didn't have a pot, it was still full price but that may be because we got both bbq and hotpot. They did not ask beforehand though but cautious if you're going with a big group. If you only had to pick from with hotpot or bbq, I would pick bbq. The hotpot soups were pretty plain. The Szechuan wasn't spicy and the Tom Yum wasn't sour or spicy. The most flavor was from the Tonkatsu but that isn't my favorite option for hotpot. The Oysters were huge coming out and shrunk to basically nothing. They also tasted too fishy would not recommend. The clams were good although the order only came with 2 of them. The bbq options were better in my opinion. Our favorites were the Beef Bulgogi and KPOT Pork Belly. I would not recommend the Hangar Steak, it was way too thick and chewy. I do wish they had Enoki Mushroom for the kbbq but it was ok as we had it for hotpot. Overall was a pretty decent place to go to. The sauce bar had a good amount of options including the buffet side although it was a little messy. They also did forget some of our items and just needed to be reminded. We came here on a Sunday night (not too busy) and had Cynthia as our sever. Cynthia was attentive and made sure we were good the entire meal. We opted for the kbbq and hot pot option (both for an additional $5). You get to do AYCE for 2 hrs which is plenty of time. For the hotpot, you get an individual pot right next to you. I highly recommend the spicy tom yum soup base. The kbbq was nice as well, but I definitely preferred the hotpot. They serve Pepsi products and a pretty large assortments of teas. They don't have a liquor license yet so if you want to have some beer with your meat, you won't be able to do that until next month. Each serving you get is very tiny so if you want enough for 2 people you need 2-3 orders for things like the veggies. They come by very quickly, not much waiting. You get an iPad to order (12 items per order with a 3 minute waiting period between orders). We also ended with some milk tea to go, I thought it was pretty good, but basic (no option to alter sugar). They also have ice cream to end the meal which we chose to skip. read more

I'm literally super excited that I finally get a KPOT that is close by. Although it is a 45 minute drive for me, I'm always in Lowell so it's 15 minutes away from my destination. Me and the family arrived exactly at 12pm. The staff was up and ready for every party that arrived. I believe we were first in line. When we turned around, there were roughly 3-4 more parties behind us. So I guess we weren't the only excited party. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We got seated right away. Shoutout to the bus girl (not sure if that's their title). The one who brings out our food from the kitchen. She was a little petite girl, super nice. She was very helpful! I know we ordered a lot too. Thank you! Everything was definitely hitting. I can confidently say I will be back VERY SOON. lol I want to say that this location is 100% better than my last experience. Last time we were in Orlando on our Disney trip and had the location there. Take my advice, stay away. They were HORRIBLE. Nothing compare to this location. From food to service, it was 10x better here. Food - SHORT RIBS were amazing. Tasted fresh and well seasoned. We opted for both kbbq and hotpot. For $5 more, why not?? We ordered tons of crab legs for the hotpot. We definitely made our moneys worth. My son loves their fried rice from the hot bar. Honestly, everything that we ordered was delicious. Tip - if you come for lunch, they do honor the dinner price! You can simply ask them and you can order from the dinner menu, also. It would just be dinner price. You do lose out on the hot bar though. I don't know what the difference would be from lunch and dinner. I did see a picture on Google that they had dim-sum chicken feet. Price: Lunch-- adults $21.99; kids 7-10 y/o $11.99; kids 4-6 y/o $7.99 Dinner-- adults $31.99; kids 7-10 y/o $15.99; kids 4-6 y/o $11.99 *** Extra $5/person if you want to do both KBBQ + Hotpot option Methuen is a bit out of the way for us but we were not too far from the area & decided why not grab this for dinner hahah. OUR FAVORITE is their short rib! Listen, it doesn't look well marinated BUT it in fact is. I believe it has honey or some type of sugar in the marinade, which gives it a nice char on the grill + makes it quite tasty. We also like to order beef tongue & their spicy beef bulgogi. This location was very clean, had lots of sauce options, + side dishes. KPot has opened at The Loop in June 2026. I've dined at KPot in other states and have left satisfied and very full each visit. Recently, I decided I wanted Korean BBQ and Hot Pot for lunch. There are now several competing options for AYCE Korean BBQ and hot pot in the Merrimack Valley and Southern NH. As I mentioned on previous reviews, the "now local competitors" were charging way more for less options three years ago than KPot even at KPot's 2026 pricing. It was not if KPot was opening in the Greater Boston area, it was a matter of when? The time is now! There are more locations planned in the region. I headed over to KPot in Methuen for lunch, after the peak lunch rush when it was less busy. The prices in 2026 for AYCE hot pot or BBQ were $21.99 for weekday lunch and $32.99 for weekday and all day weekend dinner, add $5 if you choose to get both hot pot and BBQ. There is a two hour dining time limit and any wasted food will be charged accordingly, so order wisely. I stopped in for lunch just before 2:30pm. The place was not too busy, but I was seated promptly in the main dining room. Each table has electric burners for the hot pots and the round bbq grill in the center of the table. It took a bit before the server arrived and took my order, I got both hot pot and BBQ and ordered the ingredients used in the hot pot and BBQ with the electronic tablet, server ordering the broth base (thai yum), & I ordered meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles and dumplings, maximum of 6 ingredients at a time. You can order more ingredients every 3 minutes. I chose over 20 ingredients for my lunch and they also have a self serve hot bar, sauces bar (18 choices), garnishes, kimchi, fried potatoes, and small desserts (cake & fresh fruit) and Hershey Ice Cream cups in the freezer in the front entrance. My ingredients arrived to my table quickly for the most part. The server turned on the heat for the hot pot when the delayed pot of broth arrived. The middle grill was heated up 10 minutes before and I began cooking BBQ meats before the pot arrived. I made a minimal mess cooking my own food, but everything I had was tasty and I cooked the food to my liking. I finished all of the ingredients, and enjoyed the calamari, beef bulgogi, chicken bulgogi, shrimp, fish balls, shrimp dumplings, shumai, fresh veggies and more. I got the Kpot sauce to dip my food and fried rice, spring rolls, takiyoki, & fries from the self serve food bar. However, after eating more than 25 food choices, I did not need anymore food, just cake, pineapple, and Hershey's chocolate ice cream. The staff is still in training with some kinks. The food runners delivered my ingredients and plates cleared by other staff. The check was presented after I was done, which was $28.88 with tax and before tip. The server used a Toast handheld POS system to process payment and I entered tip and finger signed. Overall, KPot is still a good place for family and large party dining and a great place for couples enjoying Korean food fondue style. As I mentioned a few years ago in other reviews of local Korean BBQ places, the prices at those places will need to come down significantly and up their game in order to be competitive with this place. read more

Let's be clear, this is NOT about the food quality or taste. This place is a 0/10 in terms of customer service. They are NOT a good option for family dining with small kids. They don't have a kids menu and are not willing to accommodate families with small children, special needs or dietary needs. Example, I explained that my son would only eat white rice and maybe chicken nuggets or something similar off of their appetizer buffet line. My first experience with Korean BBQ/Hot Pot restaurant. Read good reviews for the new restaurant that opened at The Loop in Methuen so decided go Saturday night, there were three of us. We were told there would be a thirty minute wait but were seated within 10 minutes. David, our server, greeted us as soon as we sat down and explained the concept to us. I was confused when he explained we would be charged for any wasted food when we're done eating so suggested we order slowly (excuse me?), he helped us choose the soup broth to cook our meats in which was helpful. You can't take home leftovers. David directed us to the appetizer table which was not labeled so I had no idea what I was picking for appetizers, there were also dipping sauces and a couple of desserts to pick from, not a great variety. With the food carts coming down the aisle, it's a tight squeeze. Our meats started to arrive and we began cooking, all the while they are coming by to grab up empty plates and in doing so one of our plates that still had steak to cook got picked up and dumped, now that's waste! We complained to David and said just order more, we won't get charged for the waste. We ordered BBQ chicken that was sliced very thin and didn't amount to much when cooked on the grill. In summary, David was a good server and was tipped accordingly, we walked away full and satisfied and we appreciated the experience but it is a one and done for me. If there is food left over that I paid for I want the right to take it home not be charged again for it to be "wasted". read more
