The hot pot experience here can be a bit overwhelming with so many options, especially if you're just a party of two. I decided to go with the staff's recommendations and tried the Pepper Pork Tripe broth along with the Chongqing Spicy broth -- and wow, the latter is seriously spicy ! Both broths were flavorful and rich. The selection of sides was great too -- I especially enjoyed the kimchi, sliced cabbage, jelly, taro dessert, and tropical pudding. Everything tasted fresh and balanced out the heat from the broth perfectly. Overall, it was a really nice dining experience. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation in advance since parking is a hassle and metered spots nearby are hard to find. This place is ideal for a group of four or more to make the most of the variety!

This place was recommended to me by multiple coworkers (all Chinese). You can make a reservation on Yelp. They have off street parking (but it's very limited), so you may have to park on the street (meters around). The staff are very friendly. Our server was very nice and helpful since she knew it was our 1st time. She recommended the Golden Chicken broth, which was my personal favorite. All 3 broths that we got were highly flavorful. In addition to the golden chicken, we also got the chongqing (mild), and mushroom. The mild Chongqing had heat, but I didn't think it was as spicy as the mild spicy beef tallow at La Mei. Perhaps next time, my wife and I will try the medium level. They give you a lot of veggies. It was a hit or miss on the freshness, but the meats did look very fresh. They also offer a sauce bar and provided examples of a few sauces. However, since the broths are flavorful, you don't really need to have a separate sauce to dip in. The place is pretty loud as it is very packed patrons. When we had dinner, it appeared to be filled with a lot of Asian college kids. You know that you found the right place when the patrons are mostly Chinese.

This is one of the most cleanest and fresh spot in Boston. I love it here, the sauce bar on point, meat and veggies are fresh. Just a bit overpriced but it's so good

Always a wait for this place, so we tried to come on a really off time - like 3pm on a Tuesday and we still had to wait for like 20 minutes for a party of 2. Lovely hot pot place, clean and professional. The meats are wonderful cuts and menu has all your usual hotpot things to get. There is an unlimited sauce area with a generous selection of choices. Broths are wonderful. We tried three different ones to get a full experience and each were unique and balanced. The spicy Chongching was very comparable to what you would typically see in China - in a sense very 'authentic'. Might be too oily for some stomachs though. Mushroom broth has some ginger so there's a nice little kick that balances out with the umami. Herbal Chicken broth was light and delicious. Excellent for vegetables. Overall, it was a pleasant hot pot experience, but I don't really understand the hype and the prices aren't that great considering there's so much other competition in the area, so nothing wow-ed me compared to some other hot pot across the street.

My go to hot pot spot in the area! I really love the broth and food quality here. Only downside is there can be a long wait but still worth it!

Amazing service here! The broth was DELICIOUS and full of flavor, unlike some other places. The free dessert and sauce and appetizers are really fun too. I do wish they had more clear labels and a few were unlabeled and so I had no idea what they were, also some things needed replaced more often. Super fun vibes though and it feels secluded at each table which is nice.

Great hot pot spot with a wide variety of fresh ingredients--The broth is flavorful, perfect for sharing. Portions are generous and presentation is clean. Ideal for families or groups. Highly recommended!!!!

Amazing hot pot spot that I would love to come back to! The meat here was so good and there is a ton of variety in terms of veggies, seafood, and more! The line is quite insane though so i highly recommend planning ahead for it like putting your name on the waitlist about an hour before you want to eat at Service was pretty good too. Nothing out of the ordinary. Interior was clean and much bigger than it looks from the outside They have a huge sauce bar and if you don't know what to do you can look at their recs right above the sauce bar! Overall would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a quality over quantity hot pot place!

This place is not AYCE but I left full, and pleasant surprised by the price. I expected to pay much more but my friend tipped generously and we still only paid about $53 per person (and we also got the sauce). The ingredients seem high quality and fresh, and are well presented. You can choose up to 3 broths, which I haven't seen at many places. The spicy broth is very spicy and oily, even though I chose the most mild level. I would be careful of eating too much of the spicy since the oils can cause an upset stomach. I really enjoyed the tomato based soup which is a little tangy and sweet. The herbal chicken had the least amount of flavor for me, but is good if you like things mild. The worst part of this place is the wait. Make sure to sign up on the online waiting list early and go inside to check in or you may wait forever. We waited an hour and 40 minutes and I almost lost hope and started seeing black. They have a tiny little parking lot in the back too.

Great place to enjoy quality hot pot over quantity! We went on a Thursday evening around 6pm and had to wait around 40 minutes for a party of three. Would recommend placing your name on the waitlist earlier if you plan to go around 5pm. It was definitely emptier a little later. Service is good. The Golden Chicken Broth is my favorite! Chicken flavor is in your face, but in a good way. Chongqing spicy broth was a good spicy. Hot and sour was decent. Meat was good and fried fish tofu was fried fresh! Sauce bar was extensive.

I'm so full. Food, the broth really good I'd drink it straight up. Attentive service, my partner drinks water like a camel and they were always replacing our water the second it was empty. Ambiance erm fancy Chinese. Already been here twice.

They take your jacket to a safe location if requested which was great - no risk of getting any soup splash stains or smelling like hotpot after! You just order on an iPad to request more things which I personally love. Food was delicious and there was a great variety of dishes. We came when it was all you can eat meat which was perfect for a large group. Dipping sauce station was also great and then the drink variety was delicious as well. Overall, this was a delicious option for hotpot in the Chinatown area. I don't think I would come if it were a la carte for every item, but for all you can eat meat, it was great!

The hostess provided a plastic covering for my purse and explained that the smell from the hotpot can cling to fabric. I genuinely appreciated that level of thoughtfulness. She also took time to explain the specials and suggested ordering a combo since it would cost less, which felt honest rather than sales-driven. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the toppings bar had so many options that you can really customize your experience. I went solo this time but this is definitely the kind of place that would be perfect for groups. What truly stood out to me, though, was the service. I accidentally threw something important away before leaving and didn't realize until I was gone. When I called they looked through the trash but couldn't find it.They allowed me to come back and search through the trash and even provided gloves. That level of patience and kindness is rare and meant a lot. Between the fresh food, helpful staff, and exceptional service, this was a 10/10 experience. I would absolutely recommend.

One dish I would recommend is Xi'an Cold Rice noodles, it's an appetizer but was on par for a dish. The proportion was on the larger side and it had a perfect spice, all I have to say was it was delicious and for $9.95 you cannot go wrong. The dan dan noodles were good, but I would say the cold noodles were better. The golden buns were also great, a classic dish that is always loved with a great crisp. We did get the wrong sushi roll, unsure if they misheard us or if they thought we pointed to a different one but I'm glad they did because the Thunder Roll was delicious. I think it was the yellowtail that was on top that tied everything together, it was just really good. Overall a great place for dishes if you haven't tried it before you won't be disappointed.

We had a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon for less than $40 b As an operations guy, my suggestion to management would be to suggest two things: 1. The salmon sashimi I had was a bit cold. It may be because I was at the 5:30 seating, but it taste better cool, but not cold. 2. Not sure where the bottles of wine are stored, but our cab was warm. Analogous to the sushi, red wine is better cool to room temperature vs warm. Again, I am a big fan of this place. I'm slightly obsessed…read more Randomly ran into this place in a desperate late night hunt for noodles and since then have been there five times. Every time I'm like "where should I go in downtown" I just get stuck on this place like it's worn a groove in my brain. Like one of RFK's brain worms. It's a little confusing to order but basically you pick a soup, pick a spicy level (burn your face or burn your colon) and then add an absurd amount of toppings. Then they deliver a bowl the size of your head (or my head, I have a big head) and you kind of reconsider your life decisions. I like this over the other hot pot tech because my two greatest weaknesses are cooking and choosing. At least this takes out one of those. High marks to the sour cabbage broth - the slight vinegary tang is actually magic. Brain worm inducing magic. But don't go here. Because it's small and I want to make sure I have a seat.

I was really disappointed with this restaurant…read more We ordered the $17.99 combo, and while the portion was large, it was mostly cabbage and bean sprouts with very little beef. The beef itself had a strange taste and wasn't enjoyable at all. When I asked for chopped green onions, they told me they had already run out. The food also lacked flavor, so I asked for chili sauce since it is only chili oil with almost no actual chili sauce. When I mentioned it, they said that's just how they make it. It got even more ridiculous. They serve Coke, but when I asked for a cup of ice, they said they didn't have any ice left!!! We also ordered the crispy pork for $8.99, and the portion was surprisingly small for the price. The service wasn't good either. Our bill came to about $44, and I still left a $6 tip even though I wasn't happy with the experience. Instead of thanking us, the server ( a lady) came over and complained that my tip was "just under 15%" and said their restaurant expects a minimum 15% tip and started to give a nasty attitude after! Honestly, after hearing that, I almost wanted to take the tip back. Tips should be earned through good food and good service, not demanded. Overall, this meal was a huge disappointment, and I would not recommend this restaurant.
