We stopped by Cozy Kimchi for lunch on Sunday afternoon. It wasn't too busy and we got seated quickly by the window. We ordered the man du (steamed dumplings) and the dol sot bibim bap. There's an additional charge if you want to add a protein option. We added tofu ($3) and beef ($5). The man du was a delicious appetizer to start with. The bibim bap came out quickly. The rice was perfectly crunchy in the stone pot. I enjoyed their homemade kimchi they brought out to our table. The service was great, our waitress and hostess were very friendly. Overall, this was a nice little spot. It's a little pricier than other lunch places in Newburyport.

Cozy Kimchi has become one of my favorite spots in Newburyport. Haven't had anything bad here. The fried kimchi mandu are a must try. They make their own kimchi here and converted me from not a fan of kimchi to loving their kimchi. Beef bulgogi is great but the dot sot bibim bap had to be my favorite. It comes out in a sizzling hot bowl and toasts the rice and veggies as you eat it. On top of that the crew here is super friendly and even remembered us after visiting only one time before. Surprised it's not more busy here, but means more kimchi for me!

Very tasty food, traditional, service is good and prices decent. This was listed as an appetizer and it has rice cakes, fish cakes, and egg and vegetables.

Lovely decor and nice cozy seating, especially the window seats. We were warmly welcomed by the host/owner. The food was ok. The pork bulgogi was very oily and was less sweet than other places. The kimchi fried rice was forgettable. The entrees are very expensive, $28 for the pork bulgogi and the beef is even more. Personally, I would rather eat at HMART for half the price.

I love Cozy Kimchi. The food is fresh and great quality. The servers and owners are kind. There is a culture and art of enjoying the moment here. Would suggest to anyone in newburyport!

Have tried many of the Korean restaurants in Allston and this, K Restaurant, seems to outrank them all! As for service -- indeed you pay first, but was a bit confused about the server/front desk who pretty much tell you to order before seated (choosing your own table), take your order, serve you with all the food, etc -- literally she handles all the customer service stuff -- wondering why she did not appear at pleasant or smile at all. Don't get me wrong, fully aware of wide range of personalities -- some appear more excited and enthusiastic than others others -- even without the the usual tipping at the end, and especially with the tipping at the end. Here, of course you pay -- and finalize your tip or no time before being served with your food, but still the server did not appear to greet or show those standard pleasantries expected all common in America ... She wasn't rude or anything. It just seems like she's not happy being there. Any event, just some thoughts here. Would definitely be back. And do recommend this place to others who want delicious meal but just note the above.

They have so many options, anyone in your party would be happy with their selection of seafood, meat, vegetarian, pasta & more options. I ordered their harvest bowl which was really delicious, however the steak comes cold and i was charged $3 for not a lot of sweet potato, I would have preferred more sweet potato. I have now dined in once to get their house-broth ramyeon which is absolutely delicious. The Porchetta heavily relied on the pork and the sear, seasoning and proper cooking of the meat. It pulled apart easily, had a nice thin crust on it and was plenty tender while also juicy. The arugula was a good balance and helped keep the cheese in place. The bread was perfectly toasted and crusty but absolutely fresh like a good hoagie should be. The Cubano had seasonings ON the panini pressed bread that were on point with the rest of the flavor profile of the sandwich. The balance between the mustard, pickles, and seasoned bread accentuated the meat instead of covering it up. Drinks well made but missing ingredients due to menu swap and also warm flat soda. Atmosphere quiet, but boring compared to Portsmouth. The best thing on my plate was fries. We had burger with curry fries. And Cemita with regular fries. Burger was fine. Curry on the fries was slathered not drizzled. The curry ketchup was sweet, off putting. It tasted nothing like curry ketchup. Grilled chicken on cemita tasted like they cleaned the dirty grill with it. Greasy, dirty, No salt or pepper. Side of shrimp, no seasoning either. Pickled onions were good and Advocado was fresh. Came with chipotle mayo decent. But if the sauce is carrying the chicken.... Not good. Probably won't return. Portsmouth vs Exeter is night and day.
