First of all you have to get a LARGE lemonade or fruit punch, it's CRACKKK! Place isn't appealing on the outside but the food is on point! Grits are super buttery, prices are very reasonable. You can call your order in for pick up which is very Convient. Its across from the elementary, the GPS took me to the corner store a block away. I Highly recommend. If your a heavy eater you may need 2 plates, it's a decent amount of food if your a moderate eater and get full from drinking while u eat.

    Awesome food

I was also happy to learn that all of the sauces available at the table are gluten-free. I ordered the brisket, sliced pork, baked potato, and dirty rice, and everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. My sister, who also has celiac disease, ordered the ribs with a sweet potato and broccolini, and she loved her meal as well. Most importantly, neither of us got sick after eating here. It's always a relief to find a restaurant that takes food allergies seriously and offers clear information for people with celiac disease. The portions were generous, the prices were fair, and we'll definitely be coming back!

This is your spot if the vibe you're looking for is family-style and laid-back BBQ without all the bells and whistles. The menu is concise and, I must preach, very decently priced. They have combo meals and bowls that are sure to please all tastes and appetites. Our group started with sharing their loaded tots topped with brisket and crispy onions. The tots were hot, crunchy and finished as quickly as they came to our table. Hubbs and I shared their 3-protein combo with jalapeño cheddar sausage, brisket and pulled pork, sided with baked beans, baked sweet potato and green beans. I love me some good BBQ but what's BBQ without sauce?! They have a solid selection from sweet heat to smoky to tart so you're bound to find one that suits your mood. Mine,l of course was the sizzlin sweet. It had a slight little dab of what I'd call Tabasco-level heat, which isn't much for me but is probably enough for most. And yes, I simply put that sh!z on everything. I also loved the slow-baked sweet potato that came wrapped in foil with all of its natural sweetness oozing out. For me, that's why it's a favored potato cause it doesn't need much else. However that honey butter they brought for it was the icing on the cake. This is the perfect $20 dish to share which makes it worth coming back again sooner rather than later. Especially if you're returning from the sandbar and can hit up their drive-thru on the way home. That's the biggest win in my book.

Not sure if it's because we are a large party 10 or more, or what? Our last visit was a Sunday evening in early July . We ate outside. Waiter was good at getting water out to everyone. But when it came to drink orders we must have waited 15-20 minutes for him to take our drink orders. I had to ask him to take my appetizer order. We had to ask several times for our drinks - soft drinks- not alcoholic. They were not good at cleaning our dirty appetizer plates away after delivering dinner leaving the table crowded. I think what I found most annoying was watching our server and another server standing around while we were waiting for drinks, for order taking, for refills, etc. There was just no attention being paid to us. Maybe the guy was new? Not sure. The restaurant wasn't very busy so that wasn't the excuse. I've heard it's difficult to get good help in the Keys. Cost a lot to live here. Most commute from Homestead. Anyway- good for the food - don't expect great service. Ironically I did over tip. I was a server in college so I try to be generous.

I was glad that to have this new old option. There are few dishes that go better at the beach than a good burger! The space itself is essentially the lobby / pool bar of a hotel. There's an actual swimming pool that can be used up to sundown. I didn't get into the pool this time since I went essentially at dinner time, but do plan to come back earlier another time. This afternoon I grabbed a spot at the bar and started off with a glass of Sauv Blanc. It was light, refreshing and not overly dry. I was also complemented with a few baguette slices and a yummy hummus, perfect while waiting for my main course. Served with a generous bucket of fries, the "Hidden Burger" was delicious! As usual, I ordered it medium well and it retained a juicy flavor. Coupled with sweet caramelized onions and melted provolone cheese this flavorful plate was huge enough to enjoy half and bring leftovers. It was huge, large & messy - the way a burger should be!

I got the fried coconut shrimp basket which comes with a few hush puppies that are pretty large in size and french fries. The taste for all of it was very good. My husband got hog fish w/ rice and veg medley and it was good, he loved the rice, but again pricy at mid $40's. All in all, this is always a great place to come!

Also delicious - Cacio e Pepe pasta - homemade noodles, packed with pepper flavor. Delicious. The red pepper was a little too much for me , but the black pepper was perfect. - smash burger - my husband says it's the best burger he's ever eaten. The cocktails were also amazing. The interior is very nicely done with a good atmosphere. Not many people at all even though I was told it was booked out. More than 80% of the restaurant was empty. To start we got the Brioche rolls and the truffle potatoes. The rolls were very good with the honey butter definitely recommend. The potatoes are a bit hit or miss as it's not coated well so you'll get some pieces that taste great and some that are just plain potato. Definitely think they should toss these a bit better or add more sauce as they become quite dry. The pieces that are coated do have a good flavor. Before our appetizers we also got a "Margarita" pizza. I say "Margarita" because I would equate this more to just a cheese pizza. It's quite greasy and has some flop to it. It definitely was a decent pizza just think they need to lighten up on the cheese, add a bit more basil, and add some tomato. For our meals my wife got the Cacio E Pepe and I got the 72 hour beef burger with egg and truffle. She said the pasta was okay but nothing special the actual pasta was not typical Cacio e Pepe. She wouldn't recommend it. The burger for me was the breaking point. I actually had really high hopes for this as it seemed like a highlight of their menu. I added the black truffle and egg which was a $18 up charge as well. Upon getting the burger it actually looked pretty good. The fries were a bit cold but wasn't a big deal as we already had a ton of carbs. I cut the burger in half to check the cross section and upon doing so it immediately started falling apart. I noticed it had some stringy beef almost like braised beef on it. Apparently it was "beef bacon" but to us it looked like braised beef. Nevertheless even though I'm not a fan of braised beef I tried to give the burger a chance but it really wasn't good. The bun I assume was a potato roll and because of all the toppings the bottom was essentially disintegrated and falling apart since it was soaked. Being called a beef bacon smash burger I expected 1-2 patties and some crispy bacon definitely not what I received. I also expected with paying extra to atleast have a couple truffle shavings on it. The taste of truffle was so light I'd say it was barely even there. Service wise it was not the worst nor the best. Usually when we go to higher end places or places aiming for a star we'd expect perfect service. We had to ask for refills on multiple occasions, we don't drink alcohol so we just needed a refill of their soda from the fountain which isn't that hard. So definitely not as on point as it could be. All in all I think for being in the keys this is a good place that has some improvements to make. I don't think they're Michelin star ready as of yet but with some adjustments I definitely think they could be on their way.
