I really want to just let everyone know how Bethany dental stepped up and took care of me like they…read morehad known me for 25 years. I was recently on vacation as I do a couple times a year in Bethany Beach Delaware and I had an issue (pretty major issue) with my front tooth and I had to get it taken care of right away so I called Bethany dental and I reached Tracy and I was so incredibly impressed with the way they showed compassion even though I was not a regular patient. Tracy was pleasant and informative she adjusted the doctors schedule so that they could help me get this problem taken care of so I can enjoy my vacation with my three granddaughters when people show kindness and professionalism the way they did, I look forward to praising them to others! I'd also like to add that besides Tracy Dr. Fox and Emily we're the ones that worked together to treat and repair my tooth also went incredibly above and beyond!! incredible job Dr. Fox did with the help of Emily making my tooth look so wonderful natural strong just the whole experience with every single person at Bethany dental!!! I am so beyond impressed! I just want to say in closing thank you all so much for not only saving my vacation but making the whole experience pain less pleasant and professional you can bank on seeing me again at Bethany dental even if I have to travel two hours to do it!!! Don't you guys go changing on me!!! because we love you just away you are, keep up the great work! With warm regards, Gary G

There is an old saying that well begun is half done. That is pretty much where he leaves it once…read morethey get you in the door and get that first hopeful review.

I am expressing my deep disappointment and dissatisfaction regarding the treatment I received…read moreduring my recent visit to Maplewood Dental. Specifically, I am troubled by their refusal to perform my scheduled routine preventive cleaning simply because I declined a comprehensive set of X- rays. For the past three years, I have been a loyal and consistent patient at this practice, adhering faithfully to a routine schedule of visiting twice per year for hygiene appointments. Throughout this entire period, I have maintained excellent oral hygiene, and I have never presented with chronic dental conditions, symptomatic distress, or active concerns. During my recent appointment, I clearly explained to the dentist and clinical staff that I was paying completely out of pocket for my visit. I explicitly noted that I was experiencing zero pain, discomfort, or symptoms, nor did I have any underlying dental concerns that would clinically necessitate immediate X-ray imaging. Given my financial constraints and lack of symptoms, I requested to proceed solely with the routine preventive hygiene cleaning--a service I was fully prepared to pay for. "Refusing standard preventive cleaning for an established, asymptomatic patient who is paying out of pocket--solely based on an unyielding X-ray requirement--places administrative protocol over reasonable patient-centered care." I was shocked when I was informed that the practice would outright refuse to clean my teeth unless I consented to and paid for the comprehensive X-ray panel. While I understand and respect that diagnostic imaging is a valuable clinical tool, refusing standard preventive maintenance to an established patient with a clear history and no active complaints feels less like personalized healthcare and more like an inflexible operational mandate. Informed consent inherently includes the patient's right to decline specific diagnostic procedures, particularly when paying out of pocket and presenting without symptoms. Because preventive cleanings are fundamental to maintaining oral health and preventing future issues, denying this basic service creates an unnecessary barrier to care for patients seeking to manage their out-of-pocket expenses responsibly. As a result of this experience, I feel that my loyalty as an established patient was dismissed, and my financial and clinical choices were disregarded.
