Went here with a friend recently for lunch. First of all the decor of the restaurant is fantastic.. like an upscale but at home feel. And that doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of the service. Our waitress was wonderful- very attentive and knowledgeable about the options on the menu. So I had the crawfish basket and it was everything in LIFE! Huge crawfish tails fried to perfection with a sleewwwww of fries! For the price, the portion was beyond incredible. We really love this place and often stop by for a late lunch after church on Sundays. The menu is great and the prices are reasonable. The seafood is always fresh and the portions are usually more than I can eat. It always amazes me how quickly you get a table even when the waiting crowd is large. The only recurring negative is at the check in desk at the front door. The young lady guarding the waiting list try's her best to ignore customers. There is even a cover on her waitlist that boldly says" For my eyes only" and she means it! She ignores new arrivals and even when the manager is standing nearby, she is less than pleasant when demanding your name. She clearly does not like her job. I probably would not like this less than glamorous job myself but customers deserve at least a pleasant greeting. read more

Our visitors had the special, which was shrimp on a loaded potato, and they were very happy with it. The service was perfectly attentive, and the ambiance was conversation-friendly (not too loud). Plenty of people recommend this place to me and I see why. The venue is more spacious and clean than other locations. It is not centrally located like other venues. This place stays busy. It took a while to get seated and grab my waitress attention. I ordered the all-you-can-eat fish. You only have a choice of two different fish and you cannot change the fish. You can get the fish fried, grilled, or blackened. They automatically give you cole slaw and grits. The grits are thick and delicious. The fish is great too. I prefer the blackened and grilled over the fried. The fried is more filling. They will not allow you to order more fish until you are done with your current order. First time here. It's a fry restaurant so was expecting just that. Server was very good. My husband got the seafood platter with catfish, scallops, stuffed crab. I am a chef. I know seafood and where it is sourced. I also know fake seafood. The scallops were fake. The manager said that the package said scallops and was North Atlantic. And he trusts his owner. Everything was fresh, hot, and the orders have been correct (we had one big order one time because we had family in town and everything was amazing and nothing was messed up!!) We have ate inside 100 + times since opening. The food is great, service is great as long as you don't drive thru . We decided to get 2 orders of the steamed royal reds & the fixin to go. We also ordered a quart of your most delicious coleslaw .there was only 2 vehicles ahead of us when we got there. One was kind of parked closer to the back waiting on their food order. We ordered & paid and was instructed to pull up some which we did. Service was fast & everything was hot . So since she handed me 2 bags of hot food surely she will have a bag with our cold coleslaw coming . Nope ! We sat there for the longest time waiting on the rest of our order. Yes the sign has check your order before leaving. WE DID ! I even called and someone said they would have it right out. People behind us were getting aggravated at us . There's no way we was going back to get in line . So we left disappointed . Our hot food was fabulous as usual. Could have been so much better if our order hadn't of been screwed up. With one of my neighbors, my mother, my youngest son (flew in from California for a visit), an my youngest son's god-mother. And each of us thoroughly enjoyed everything prepared. The atmosphere was great we were comfortable and cold. The food was hot and well seasoned. The staff were extremely accommodating. One of our absolute favorites in Mobile, Alabama. I'm almost afraid to let anyone else know how great this place is. But, it is such a little gem off the beaten path in Mobile. Got the Large Steamed Shrimp plate and it was perfect!! We also had the onion rings which had the loveliest crunchy batter. All of the fried food has a yummy crispy batter. They have all you can eat selections on certain nights. My brother got the all you can eat blackened shrimp on Thursday. My favorite part of Kravers is the free flowing sauces. They have squirt bottles of ranch, ketchup, cocktail, and tartar sauce.
