I grew up in Chula Vista where there's a frutería in every corner. So when I moved to Santee I saw that they had one and I was so excited! I didn't have to drive all the way to Chula Vista anymore. I've visited this place at least 5 times since. And every time I go they are ALWAYS out of an item, whether it be Lomo, Ham, Crab, or Chicken. And even one time they were out of 3 protein options. What I don't understand is being out of an item before 12 p.m. and I keep going back to give this place a try but every time I'm craving something their out of it. It's up to the point where I don't even want to go back. Maybe their trying to reduce waste? It just sucks that every time I go, their always out of at least 3 items on the menu. read more

This place has literally the best, creamiest açaí bowl I've ever had!! They give the perfect anoint and variety of fruits and top it with coconut and honey like all other places, but their açaí is truly the most delicious I've ever had. Staff is friendly and quick, the only problem is that on a few instances I called my order in, waited 15 minutes, got there, and they hadn't even started my order. The food is pretty good. My favorite is the Salmon wrap. My husband likes the ham or milanesa torras. The Açaí bowls are to die for. We've been going to this place for awhile now. We've referred our family & friends to this place as well. Today I went in to pick up my phone order a milanesa torta and a salmon wrap w/ NO jalapeños. My husband & I don't eat spicy or hot food with chiles/ picante. We've asked for NO jalapeños in the past. On one occasion jalapeños were put on our food after we clearly specified NO jalapeños. Ok, we thought we'll just make due. I picked all the jalapeños out of my wrap, my husband ate his. Only to have an upset stomach the next day. We felt bad & ate our food instead of letting them know that jalapeños were added. So my husband & I go back a couple of days ago. My husband told the cook who happened to be the owner NO jalapeños. He had an attitude & didn't acknowledge what my husband had said at all. So today when I go in to pick up my phone order the owner caught me off guard & told me that he was "really annoyed by the person I was with last time I came in. I had to think for a minute. He said the person kept telling him NO jalapeños. I told him the person I was there with was MY husband. We won't be going back to this place! The owners lack of maturity & attitude towards the customers needs major help. I'll be going to a business that appreciates the customers. read more
